Cinerama is a cinema in central Rotterdam, the Netherlands. It started in 1960 and was rebuilt in the 1980s. It has seven screens and is owned by the Kinepolis group.The cinema screens both arthouse and mainstream films. It also hosts a variety of festival screenings such as Arab Cinema, IFFR and the Wildlife film festival.

Kunstinstituut Melly is a contemporary art gallery located in a former school building on Witte de Withstraat, in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The center was founded in 1990. It presents curated exhibitions, symposiums, live events, educational programs, and has a separate art literature publishing arm. On 7 September 2017, the Centre announced it would change its name over a number of years to separate it from the Dutch naval agent, Witte de With and to recognise the negative impacts of colonialism. From 27 June 2020 onwards, the Centre entered a period of "namelessness", removing all branding, forming renaming committees and engaging online surveys and roundtables to decide on a new name to come into effect on 27 January 2021. The new name Kunstinstituut Melly, was announced in October 2020, in reference to an art piece displayed on an outside wall of the building called Melly Shum Hates Her Job.

Leuvehaven is an underground subway station in the city of Rotterdam. It is part of Rotterdam Metro lines D and E. The station opened on 9 February 1968, the same date that the North-South Line (also formerly called Erasmus line), of which it is a part, was opened. The station is located in the southern part of the center of Rotterdam, underneath the Schiedamsedijk, and near the northern end of the Erasmus Bridge.

La Vilette is a restaurant located in Rotterdam, in the Netherlands. It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in 1985 and the periods 1987-1989 and 2003-2008.Gault Millau awarded the restaurant 13 out of 20 points.In 1993 and 2001, it was mentioned as brasserie, but later reverted to a fine dining restaurant.Fred Mustert was head chef from 1995 to 2007. Nicolas Belot, sous-chef under Mustert, took over that year. He retained the star for 2008, but then left unexpectedly. Then Marc Muzerie took over, but he couldn't retain the star.La Vilette was a member of the Alliance Gastronomique Néerlandaise from 2007 to 2009.

WORM is a Rotterdam based non-profit foundation and a multi-media alternative cultural centre focused on experimental, new media art, avant-garde and underground art, primarily music and movies. WORM is funded by the Triodos Bank and part of the culture nota 2009–2012 from the Dutch government. The foundation has received the Pendrecht Culture Prize and its venue is part of the Rotterdam culture plan. WORM organises festivals and concerts and movie nights, and runs an independent record label and a radio station. Part of the organisation is a media lab and a music studio, which run free artist in residence programmes for artists and experimental musicians. Experimental musician Lukas Simonis is the programmer of the artist in residence programme for the music studio. The studio has a collection of experimental musical instruments built by Yuri Landman. Artists that have been in residence at WORM include Tujiko Noriko, Toktek, Machinefabriek, Nancy Mauro-Flude, Jørgen Teller, One Man Nation, Blevin Blectum, Kevin Blechdom, Joe Howe, Eugene Chadbourne, Lucas Crane, Jim Xentos, Knull, Ben Butler and Mousepad, Colin Black, Harry Taylor (Action Beat), Stignoise, Hovatron, Martijn Comes, Danielle Lemaire and others. The foundation also has a shop with left field music, art house movies and books about subjects related to the cultural focus of the organisation and strong links to computer subculture hackerspace. The cooperative at moddr_ developed the Web 2.0 Suicide Machine and hotglue.me. Individual people involved designed and developed those projects. The organisation co-operates closely with International Film Festival Rotterdam, Poetry International, Incubate, State-X New Forms, Museumnacht. WORM was based at the Achterhaven until 2010. In 2011 it moved to the centre of Rotterdam and is currently located in the building formerly used as the Nederlands Fotomuseum (Dutch Photo Museum) at the Witte de Withstraat.

The Low Light of the Hook of Holland (Lage licht van Hoek van Holland) is a lighthouse that once stood at the Hook of Holland, but has since been dismantled and reassembled near the Rotterdam maritime museum.

The Hoge Heren (English: High Gentlemen) is hybrid complex composed of two towers in the center of Rotterdam designed by Wiel Arets, located in the former Zalmhaven of the city near the Erasmusbrug. The building was completed in 2000. The complex is 102 meters high and has 35 floors.

Rotterdam Centrum (English: Rotterdam Center/ Center of Rotterdam) is a borough of Rotterdam. It was established on March 3, 2010. The center has 33,983 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017).Rotterdam Centrum is bounded by the emplacement of the Rotterdam Centraal railway station and the Goudsesingel in the North, the Tunneltraverse of the Henegouwerlaan and 's-Gravendijkwal in the West, the Nieuwe Maas River in the South and the Oostplein in the East.

The Maritime Museum Rotterdam is a maritime museum in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Dedicated to naval history, it was founded in 1874 by Prince Henry of the Netherlands. Next to the Maritime Museum lies the open-air Maritime Museum Harbour, which merged with the Maritime Museum in 2014. The Maritime Museum Harbour contains an exceptional collection of historic vessels and cranes which are maintained in working condition.

Beurs is a major subway interchange station in the center of Rotterdam. Underneath Churchill Square (Dutch: Churchillplein), the two lines through the city center (lines A-B-C and lines D-E) intersect. Passengers for Rotterdam Central Station change here to line D if they started their journey on line A, B, or C. All destinations within the network are accessible from Beurs. Since December 2011, it has also been incorporated into the new RandstadRail network, resulting in a direct connection to The Hague (line E).
