Hotel St. Moritz

Rumpelmayer's was a café and ice cream parlor in the Hotel St. Moritz and part of a chain started by Anton Rumpelmayer. It was popular for children's birthday parties, Sunday breakfasts, and afternoon teas. The Art Deco restaurant was designed by Winold Reiss and overlooked Central Park. The pink walls had Egyptian-style mosaics and the room was decorated with stuffed animals. They served hot fudge sundaes and hot cocoa, which was served in silver pots and considered " benchmark hot cocoa."Rumplemayer's opened when the St. Moritz opened in 1930 and closed when the hotel closed in April 1998.

An equestrian statue of Simón Bolívar, sometimes called the Simón Bolívar Monument, is installed in Manhattan's Central Park, in the U.S. state of New York. The memorial features a bronze sculpture by Sally James Farnham resting on a black granite pedestal designed by the firm Clarke and Rapuano. It was cast in 1919, dedicated on April 19, 1921, rededicated on April 19, 1951, and conserved by the Adopt-a-Monument Program in 1988.

58th Street Terminal or 58th Street was a station on the demolished IRT Sixth Avenue Line in Manhattan, New York City. It had three tracks and two side platforms. The center track was used for storage. The station was opened by the Gilbert Elevated Railway on June 5, 1878, and served as the northern terminus of the IRT Sixth Avenue Line trains until the line was acquired by the Manhattan Railway Company and built a connecting spur from 50th Street Station (the next southbound stop) along 53rd Street to the Ninth Avenue Elevated. It was replaced as the northernmost station on the line by the Eighth Avenue station in 1881, and closed on June 16, 1924. Though there are no longer any New York City Subway stations explicitly named 58th Street, the area is now served by the underground 57th Street subway station, one block to the south of the former 58th Street Terminal.

Trump Parc and Trump Parc East are two adjoining buildings at the southwest corner of Central Park South and Sixth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. Trump Parc (the former Barbizon-Plaza Hotel) is a 38-story condominium building, and Trump Parc East is a 14-story apartment and condominium building.

The Park Lane Hotel is a New York City luxury hotel at 36 Central Park South, between Fifth and Sixth Avenues in Midtown Manhattan, overlooking Central Park. Constructed in 1971, the hotel was designed by the prolific architecture firm, Emery Roth & Sons, for prominent New York City real estate developer Harry Helmsley. The hotel operates under the ownership of Steve Witkoff’s real estate investment firm, the Witkoff Group. A supertall skyscraper has been planned for the site, though that has been placed on hold.

An equestrian statue of José de San Martín by Louis-Joseph Daumas is installed in Manhattan's Central Park, in the U.S. state of New York. The sculpture was cast c. 1950 and dedicated on May 25, 1951.

La Martinique was a popular nightclub in New York City, United States during the 1940s. Situated in a basement at 57 West 57th Street, the club was owned and operated by Dario Goldfarb and Jim Vernon. It was at La Martinique that Mr. & Mrs. Walt Disney would host the after party following the October 23, 1941 premiere of Dumbo at the Broadway theatre. The club is remembered for launching the careers of many singers of the era, including Dick Haymes, Danny Kaye, Jackie Miles and Zero Mostel, as well as playing host to more established performers, such as Jo Stafford who had a six-month residency there beginning in February 1945. La Martinique was one of several clubs to hold special events on Sunday evenings, generally considered a slow night for the clubs. An edition of the Sunday Frolics from April 1946 advertised one such evening, with Joey Adams as the host, and Rolly Rolls, the Merry Parisian, as the "honored guest". In addition the evening featured "celebrities of the stage and screen" and the club's new spring revue. The club was closed by the early 1950s, with Josephine Baker opening a new establishment on the original La Martinique site in 1952.

Betony was a restaurant in New York City. The restaurant served New American cuisine.

Apex Studios was a recording studio in Manhattan, New York City. It had a high reputation for recording jazz. It was located in the Beaux Arts Steinway building. The owner was Bob Scheuing. When Al Schmitt started in 1950, the two engineers were Fred Herbert Otto and Tom Dowd.Apex did almost all of the work for National, Atlantic, and Prestige record labels.Miles Davis's album Miles Davis and Horns was partly recorded here in 1951. Duke Ellington did a session with his son, Mercer. It was one of the first major sessions engineered by Al Schmitt.The studio also recorded radio shows for Voice of America in many languages.Artists that recorded at the studio included Charlie Parker, The Clovers, Clyde McPhatter, the Modern Jazz Quartet, Peppermint Harris, Lightnin' Hopkins.The studio went bankrupt and closed in the early 1950s.

Billionaires' Row is a set of ultra-luxury residential skyscrapers, constructed or in development, that are arrayed roughly along the southern end of Central Park in Manhattan, New York City. Several of these buildings are in the supertall category, taller than 1,000 feet (300 m), and are among the tallest buildings in the world. Since most of these pencil towers are on 57th Street, the term has been used to refer to the street itself as well.

111 West 57th Street, also known as Steinway Tower, is a supertall residential skyscraper in the Midtown Manhattan neighborhood of New York City. Developed by JDS Development Group and Property Markets Group, it is situated along Billionaires' Row on the north side of 57th Street near Sixth Avenue. The main portion of the building is an 84-story, 1,428-foot (435-meter) tower designed by SHoP Architects and completed in 2021. Preserved at the base is the 16-story Steinway Building (also Steinway Hall), a former Steinway & Sons store designed by Warren and Wetmore and completed in 1925, which originally carried the address 111 West 57th Street. 111 West 57th Street contains 60 luxury condominiums: 14 in Steinway Hall and 46 in the tower. The residential tower has a glass facade with piers made of terracotta; its pinnacle contains setbacks on the southern side. The tower is one of the tallest buildings in the United States, as well as the thinnest skyscraper in the world with a width-to-height ratio of about 1:24. Steinway Hall, a New York City designated landmark, contains a facade made mostly of brick, limestone, and terracotta. 111 West 57th Street contains numerous resident amenities, housed mostly in the building's base, as well as a large rotunda within Steinway Hall that is also a designated city landmark. The Steinway & Sons store at 111 West 57th Street was planned in 1916 but was not completed for nine years due to lawsuits and other delays. Steinway Hall served as a store, recital hall, and office building for almost nine decades, though it was unsuccessful as a speculative development. Plans for a residential skyscraper on the site date to 2005, and JDS acquired the lots for the skyscraper between 2012 and 2013. Despite the tower's size, it was technically constructed as an addition to Steinway Hall. Construction on the tower began in 2014, and Steinway Hall was restored as part of the residential project. The development faced several challenges, including financing difficulties, lawsuits, and controversies over employment. The tower's concrete form topped out during April 2019, and work was completed in 2022.
