Gulfport station is a closed Amtrak intercity train station in Gulfport, Mississippi, United States. Gulfport is a former union station that served the Louisville and Nashville Railroad and Gulf and Ship Island Railroad (which was succeeded by the Illinois Central Railroad). Former Louisville & Nashville services which utilized their station included the Gulf Wind (New Orleans–Jacksonville), Pan-American (New Orleans–Cincinnati) and Humming Bird (New Orleans–Cincinnati), as well as an additional unnamed day train (New Orleans–Jacksonville). The Louisville & Nashville also operated the southern leg of the Crescent and Piedmont Limited through the station under contract to the Southern Railway).Amtrak service began with the Gulf Coast Limited, which operated between 1984 and 1985 and called at the station. The stop was reactivated on March 31, 1993 in service on the Sunset Limited.In 1986, the depot was designated a Mississippi Landmark by the Mississippi Department of Archives and History. The building serves as the Gulfport Centennial Museum. It is also a contributing property of the Gulfport Harbor Square Commercial Historic District. Train service has been suspended since Hurricane Katrina struck Gulfport in 2005.In anticipation of a new service between New Orleans and Mobile, Amtrak installed new station signs in 2023.

Mississippi Aquarium is a nonprofit public aquarium located in Gulfport, Mississippi; it opened August 29, 2020. The 5.8-acre (2.3 ha) complex incorporates both indoor and outdoor habitats with more than 200 species of animals and 50 species of native plants. Construction costs were paid through federal, state, local, and private consortiums.

The Dan M. Russell Jr. United States Courthouse is a 6.7-acre (2.7 ha) complex located in Gulfport, Mississippi to serve the Southern District of Mississippi. The courthouse tower was named in honor of United States district judge Dan M. Russell Jr. (b. 1913 – d. 2011). The complex includes the 8-story Dan M. Russell Courthouse and the adjacent 1923 Gulfport High School that was renovated to serve as judicial offices.

Gulfport High School (GHS) is a public high school located in Gulfport, Mississippi, United States. It is part of the Gulfport School District. In 2019, Gulfport High was given a B-rating from the Mississippi Statewide Accountability System. The mascot is the Admiral. School colors are royal blue, orange, and white. The helmet insignia is a replica of the Green Bay Packers' "G."

Old Gulfport High School, located at 2010 15th Street, in Gulfport, Mississippi, is a two-story, brick building that was used as a public school from the 1920s until the latter half of the 20th century. The structure was designed in Tudor architectural style by architect Noah Webster Overstreet and was built in 1923 by Algernon Blair Construction Company The building complex was designated a Mississippi Landmark in 1999. Having stood vacant for a number of years, the old high school building and grounds were selected by the General Services Administration in 2000 as the site for construction of the Dan M. Russell Jr. United States Courthouse. Included in the construction of the federal courthouse was the renovation of the old high school building for use as a federal court office complex by the U.S. Attorney and probation officers. Renovation was completed in 2003, and the old high school was designated the Dan M. Russell Jr. Courthouse Annex. A multi-modal transportation center was constructed on the site of the former Gulfport High School Administration property, just south of the old high school.

The Confederate Monument in Gulfport, Mississippi is a monument dedicated to Confederate soldiers who died in the American Civil War. The statue was dedicated in 1911 and stands on the grounds of the Harrison County Courthouse.

The Copa Casino was a casino located in Gulfport, Mississippi (USA). Prior to its destruction in 2005 by Hurricane Katrina, it operated a small casino that catered to local residents. The casino was originally housed in a former cruise ship, the Pride of Galveston, then later on a barge built to resemble an on-shore building, but which still floated on water to comply with Mississippi dockside gaming laws. The facility was located in a berth of the Mississippi State Docks.

WQFX (1130 AM) is a radio station in Gulfport, Mississippi, United States, broadcasting a gospel music format. It is owned by Walking by Faith Ministries, Inc., and operates from studios in nearby Biloxi and a transmitter in Gulfport. 1130 kHz is a clear-channel frequency shared by three North American stations (CKWX, KWKH, and WBBR), requiring WQFX to operate on a daytime-only basis on the AM band. The station also broadcasts on an FM translator, W254DJ (98.7 FM), which allows it to broadcast around-the-clock, including when the AM facility cannot be active. Established as a commercial station in 1975, by 1986, it became a simulcast of its sister FM station, WQFX-FM 96.7. In 1992, the simulcast was broken and the station leased—and later bought—by its present owner to broadcast the current gospel format.
