Third Hill Mountain

The Meadow Branch Coalfield is a coalfield located in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia along the Berkeley and Morgan county lines. It is the only anthracite coalfield in West Virginia, unlike the bituminous coal found in the rest of the state. It has not seen any active mining in many decades. However, as early as 1798 anthracite from Berkeley County and bituminous coal from Mineral County were the sources of coal supplying the government's Harpers Ferry Armory. Berkeley County was also a source of coal during the American Civil War. The last mining occurred in the early 20th century; the anthracite in this coalfield is difficult to mine and does not occur in the continuous seams more typical of e.g. the northeast Pennsylvania Coal Region, making it not cost effective to mine. The area today comprises recreational areas including the Tuscarora Trail and Sleepy Creek Wildlife Management Area. Abandoned mines can be found near the Tuscarora Trail.

Hedges Chapel is a historic non-denominational chapel located at 668 Mountain Lake Road in Hedgesville, Berkeley County, West Virginia. It was built in 1850 and is a 1-story, three-by-two-bay, gable-roofed log building on a fieldstone foundation. It is sheathed in German siding, added in 1885 and topped by a corrugated metal roof. Also on the property is the church cemetery, with approximately 100 burials dating to 1872.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

Jones Springs is an unincorporated community in Berkeley County, West Virginia, United States. It is located on County Route 7 at its junction with County Route 7/8. The town, and several of its houses, lies on top of the numerous springs that give the community its name. Located near Jones Springs is the Stuckey House, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

Baxter is an unincorporated community in Berkeley County, West Virginia, United States. The community lies near Tilhance Creek.

Sleepy Creek Wildlife Management Area is located in Morgan and Berkeley Counties in West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle. It encompasses 22,928 acres (92.79 km2), mostly covered with mixed oak and pine forest, although about 3,500 acres (14 km2) are covered with mixed hardwoods. The 205-acre (83 ha) Sleepy Creek Lake is located entirely within the WMA.

Stuckey House is a historic home located near Jones Springs, Berkeley County, West Virginia. It was built in the 1820s, and is a two-story, three-bay, central block of cut limestone, with a 1+1⁄2-story rubble limestone, three-bay wing. The house dates to the Federal period and has a steeply sloped gable roof. Also on the property is a limestone springhouse, log smoke house, and "necessary".It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

Tomahawk Spring is a historic spring house located near Martinsburg, at Tomahawk, Berkeley County, West Virginia. It was built about 1860 on the stone foundation of a previous building. It is a one-story, wood-frame structure atop a three-feet-tall stone foundation in two sections. The first section is atop the spring and is approximately 16 by 12 feet (4.9 by 3.7 m), surrounded by a lattice enclosure. The second section contains a pool and is 13 by 12 feet (4.0 by 3.7 m).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

Sleepy Creek Lake is a 205-acre (0.8 km2) impoundment of the Meadow Branch of Sleepy Creek in Berkeley County in West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle. The reservoir is located entirely within the Sleepy Creek Wildlife Management Area.

Tomahawk is an unincorporated community on Back Creek in Berkeley County, West Virginia, United States. The community is named for a nearby series of springs in the shape of a tomahawk. The community includes the historic Tomahawk Presbyterian Church, established c. 1745, and its adjacent community cemetery, which has gravestones dating to the late 18th century. Tomahawk also has a popular dirt bike racetrack. The community lies 9.5 miles from Martinsburg. Tomahawk Spring and the Park's Gap Bridge were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

Park's Gap Bridge is a historic Howe Truss bridge located near Martinsburg, at Tomahawk, Berkeley County, West Virginia. It was built in 1892, and has a span 93 feet (28 m) long and 12 feet (3.7 m) wide over Back Creek. It is a simple span pony truss supported on stone abutments.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

Holton is a small unincorporated community in northeastern Morgan County in the U.S. state of West Virginia. Holton lies on Martinsburg Road (West Virginia Route 9) at its junction with Cherry Run Road (County Route 5) along Cherry Run and the Berkeley County line. Holton had its own post office in operation between 1889 and 1903. Pleasant View Elementary School, one of three elementary schools still operational in Morgan County as of 2020, is located in Holton.

Duckwall is an unincorporated community in Morgan County in the U.S. state of West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle. It is located along Sleepy Creek east of Johnsons Mill.
