Yoker railway station

Clydeholm was a football and greyhound racing stadium in Clydebank, Scotland. It was the home ground of the first Clydebank F.C. to play in the Scottish Football League.

Yoker Athletic Football Club are a Scottish football club based in Clydebank near Glasgow. Yoker is an area of Glasgow adjacent to Clydebank, however Yoker's stadium lies just outside the Glasgow boundary. Nicknamed the Whe Ho, the club were formed in 1886 and are based at Holm Park. The club currently operate in the West of Scotland League Second Division and play in royal blue or orange strips.Local rivals Clydebank entered the Junior grade in 2003–04 and ground shared with Yoker at Holm Park from 2008 until 2018 after leaving their ground in Duntocher. Yoker were promoted to Central Division One on 23 April 2011 after an 8–0 victory over Newmains United. The team was co-managed since January 2019 by Peter McKenna and Tommy Montgomery, Gordon Robertson took over as manager in 2022. Yoker Athletic can boast of a mention in Scottish literature and film; James Kelman's novel, A Disaffection, has the main character attending a match at Holm Park, while the club is also mentioned briefly in an episode of Scottish cult classic Limmy's Show.

Clydebank Football Club are a Scottish football club based in the town of Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire. Formed in 2003, they are currently a member of the West of Scotland Football League. The current Clydebank are a phoenix club formed after the previous Clydebank were bought out by Airdrie United and moved to Airdrie. Supporters currently fund this club.

Renfrew Wharf railway station served the town of Renfrew, Renfrewshire, Scotland, from 1837 to 1967 on the Paisley and Renfrew Railway.

The New River Clyde bridge is a proposed construction as part of the ongoing regeneration of the River Clyde waterfront area, in Scotland. If built, it will be the first new vehicle crossing point on the Clyde since the Clyde Arc bridge was built in 2006.

The Renfrew Ferry is a passenger ferry service linking the north and south banks of the River Clyde in Scotland. The service, operated by Clydelink without subsidy, crosses between Renfrew and Yoker, close to Glasgow City Centre and is the last Clyde crossing this far upstream.

Yoker (Scottish Gaelic: An Eochair) is an area of Glasgow, Scotland, on the northern bank of the Clyde east of Clydebank, 5 miles (8 kilometres) west of the city centre. From the fourteenth century, the Renfrew Ferry has linked Yoker with Renfrew on the south bank. Although shipbuilding has declined, the nearby Yarrows shipyard, now owned by BAE Systems, is still in operation. The name is an Anglicisation of the Scottish Gaelic Eochair meaning a river bank.Motor vehicles and tramcars were also manufactured in Yoker, which is now an operations centre for the North Clyde Line, part of Glasgow's suburban rail network. Yoker railway station has services on the Argyle and North Clyde lines. The comedy series Limmy's Show featured a sketch in which perpetually-stoned Dee Dee Durie travelled to Yoker on a whim, finding the experience an exciting and terrifying adventure rather than a mundane bus journey.

St Andrew's High School was a Catholic high school situated in Whitecrook on the outskirts of Clydebank in Scotland. It was closed in 2009 and amalgamated with St Columba's High School to form St Peter the Apostle High School on the site of St Columba's in Drumry. The final head teacher was Mick Vassie (in post from 1995) who then took over as head of the new school; he retired in 2013.By June 2010 the building had been deemed to be in a dangerous condition following two arson attacks, hastening its demolition. As with the other vacant site in the town where a school had been (at Braidfield High School), the St Andrew's site lay unused for some years until 2016, when the local authority approved plans for it to be used for a housing development; construction actually commenced in 2019.

Drumry railway station serves the Drumry and Linnvale area of Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire, Scotland. The railway station is managed by ScotRail and is served by trains on the Argyle Line and North Clyde Line. Drumry station was opened in 1953 to serve two of the new housing schemes that were built post World War II on the northern edges of the Burgh of Clydebank. To the north of the line is the area known as South Drumry and to the south of the line is the area of Linnvale which is bounded by the Great Western Road to the east, the railway line to the north and the Forth and Clyde Canal to the south.

Renfrew Castle was situated at the royal burgh of Renfrew, Scotland, which is near the confluence of the River Clyde and the River Cart. The original 12th-century castle was built by Walter fitz Alan, Steward of Scotland, upon a river islet known as the King's Inch. This was replaced in the 13th century with a new castle by the road to the Clyde ferry, which became a royal castle under King Robert II. In the 15th century, the King's Inch site was rebuilt as Inch Castle by Sir John Ross. Both castles were demolished in the 18th century and nothing remains above ground at either site.
