Weelsby Road Halt railway station

Grimsby Tennis Centre is a tennis club in Grimsby, Lincolnshire, England. It was founded by members of the Welholme Methodist Church on grass courts in Welholme Road, Grimsby. In order to protect the membership from personal liability the club was formed into a Limited Company (Company number 00179077) on 16 January 1922. The land in Weelsby Avenue was purchased in April 1922 and so the tennis facility on this site predates the surrounding houses that were built in about 1930. Although the Tennis Centre is a Limited Company, its constitution requires that any profits are used to improve the facility. Elected Directors serve for a period as defined in the Memorandum and Articles of Association.

Hainton Street Halt was a railway halt on the East Lincolnshire Railway which served the Welholme Road area of Grimsby in Lincolnshire between 1905 and 1961. The station was opened as part of a new motor train service between Grimsby and Louth. The station briefly closed in 1939 as a Second World War economy measure, but reopened in 1940. The line through Hainton Street remained open for freight until December 1980. The trackbed was later reused by Humberside County Council to construct the A16 Peaks Parkway which now runs through the site. Building of the road put an end to the aspirations of the Great Northern and East Lincolnshire Railway plc (now the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway) to reopen the line as a heritage railway.

Abbey Park was a football stadium in Grimsby, Lincolnshire, England. It was the home ground of Grimsby Town between 1889 and 1899.

Oasis Academy Wintringham is a secondary school (academy) on Weelsby Avenue in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire, England. It is just off the A16 Peaks Parkway just south-west of the A46 crossroads next to the Lisle Marsden CE Primary School in Wellow and on the Grimsby-Cleethorpes boundary (the A16). The school was originally a religious foundation, and lies in the ecclesiastical parish of St Augustine of Hippo.

Great Grimsby is a constituency in North East Lincolnshire represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom since December 2019 by Lia Nici of the Conservative Party. Between 1918 and 1983 it was known simply as Grimsby; following the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, the seat will be subject to boundary changes which will incorporate the neighbouring town of Cleethorpes. As a consequence, it will be renamed Great Grimsby and Cleethorpes, to be first contested at the next general election.

People's Park is a late 19th-century public park in the centre of Grimsby in Lincolnshire. The Park is Grade II* listed as, although enhanced, the park's design is essentially unchanged from its original layout of the early 1880s.

Weelsby is located in the Weelsby Road area of eastern Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire, England. Previously separate from Grimsby, Weelsby Woods and Weelsby Hall lie within the area, as does the Grimsby Tennis Centre, Peaks Lane fire station, Saint Andrews Hospice, Saint Hughs Hospital and the local branch of the YMCA. It is home to a local drama group, the Weelsby Players and Weelsby Park Riding School. There is a Weelsby Tenants and Residents Association, which is represented on the Boroughwide Tenants Assembly. Nearby is the King George V Stadium. Weelsby Hall is a late Victorian mansion house built by the Sleight family in 1890 and is now part of the Linkage Community Trust, a charity supporting people with learning difficulties and disabilities. The Hall is part of Linkage's Weelsby site, along with the Mackenzie Building which is home to Linkage College, the charity's specialist further education college, and other buildings which support Linkage's care and Adult Skills day services.

Weelsby Woods is a large public park in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire. With mature trees, woodland, and large open grassy areas, the park is widely used for recreation.

Grimsby power station supplied electricity to the town of Grimsby, England and the surrounded area from 1901 to the late 1960s. It was owned and operated by Grimsby Corporation prior to the nationalisation of the British electricity supply industry in 1948. The power station was redeveloped in the 1920s and 1930s to meet the increased demand for electricity.

Grimsby Town Hall is a municipal building in Town Hall Square in Grimsby, Lincolnshire, England. The building, which is the meeting place of North East Lincolnshire Council, is a Grade II listed building.

Grimsby Combined Court Centre is a Crown Court venue which deals with criminal cases, as well as a County Court venue, which deals with civil cases, in Town Hall Square, Grimsby, England.

BBC Radio Humberside is the BBC's local radio station serving the former county of Humberside which includes the unitary authorities of East Riding of Yorkshire, Kingston upon Hull, North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire. It broadcasts on FM, DAB, digital TV and via BBC Sounds from studios at Queen's Gardens in Hull. According to RAJAR, the station has a weekly audience of 101,000 listeners and a 5.0% share as of December 2023.
