Hyde is a village and civil parish in the New Forest near Fordingbridge in Hampshire, England.

Gorley Hill is the site of a former Iron Age promontory hillfort located in Hampshire in the United Kingdom. The fort once occupied the southwestern corner of Gorley Common on Gorley Hill, a gravel-capped spur that points southwest into the Avon valley next to the hamlet of North Gorley, between the towns of Fordingbridge and Ringwood. The earthworks were destroyed in the 1950s and '60s when the common's new owners carried out large-scale gravel extraction works, effectively "scalping" the hill. The tall linear earthen banks present on the hill are a relic of the quarrying process and not prehistoric in origin. The site is now grass, with some gorse and silver birch. The area is now owned and managed by Hampshire County Council. Heywood Sumner carried out some excavation at the site which was published in his 1917 book Ancient Earthworks of the New Forest.

Additional houses can be found at the southern edge of Gorley Common lining a narrow track to North Gorley.Furze Hill is the most recent settlement in the parish of Hyde, becoming an established community only in the 20th century.

Stuckton is a hamlet in the New Forest National Park of Hampshire, England. Its nearest town is Fordingbridge, which lies approximately 1 mile (1.7 km) north-west from the village. Stuckton is a hamlet in the civil parish of Hyde. It is located in the Avon valley and is situated around Ditchend Brook. The western side of the hamlet is outside the New Forest National Park. The hamlet contains several Victorian buildings, and also has a small chapel, sited behind the old post office. Stuckton is known locally for the hotel and restaurant called The Three Lions.Stuckton was once home to the "Stuckton Iron Works" which came into existence around 1770 as an iron foundry and farm machinery works. A Cornish engine provided power for the works, forge and pattern shop. It is said, but not verified, that the first portable steam traction engines were made here in the early 19th century. The Stuckton foundry closed down in 1908, but agricultural machinery side of the business continued as the Armfields Engineering Company.

Blissford is a hamlet in the civil parish of Hyde situated in the New Forest National Park in Hampshire, England. Its nearest town is Fordingbridge, which lies approximately 2 miles (2.5 km) west from the village. The hamlet lies just to the north of the small village of Frogham. Blissford is situated on low ground around Blissford Cross and towards Ditchend Brook where the ford can be found. References to Blissford appear in records in the early 16th century. The houses in the hamlet are surrounded by patches of woodland and pasture, and there is also a small settlement of mobile homes sited on higher ground.

Ogdens is a small hamlet south of Hyde Common near Frogham in the New Forest area of Hampshire, England. Ogdens is a hamlet in the civil parish of Hyde. It is situated in the valley of Latchmore Brook (or Huckles Brook). Most of the settlement is surrounded by the heathland and woodland of the New Forest. The hamlet is very rural with a few post-war dwellings, mixed in with older houses scattered on tracks and farmland. There is a car park at Ogdens allowing access to the heathland of the New Forest. Nearby is Ogdens Purlieu, a boggy area of heathland between Ogdens and Dockens Water. The hamlet is named after Ogden Rooke, a local landowner who possessed Ogdens Purlieu in the latter half of the 17th century. Purlieu is a Norman-French word meaning "the outskirts of a forest" – a place free from forest laws.

Godshill is a village and civil parish and in New Forest National Park in Hampshire, England. It is about 1+1⁄2 miles (2.4 km) east of the town of Fordingbridge and 10 miles (16 km) south of the city of Salisbury.

Sandy Balls is 120 acres (0.49 km2) of woods and parkland near the New Forest in Hampshire, England. Located between the village of Godshill and the town of Fordingbridge, it is bounded on the western edge by the River Avon. Now run as a holiday centre, Sandy Balls is owned by Away Resorts.

South Gorley is a hamlet in the New Forest National Park of Hampshire, England. It is in the civil parish of Ellingham, Harbridge and Ibsley. Its nearest town is Ringwood, which lies approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) south-west of the hamlet. The hamlet sits on the western boundary of the New Forest National Park, about 0.5 miles (0.80 km) south of North Gorley. The River Avon lies just to the west.
