It was built about 1850 and is a rectangular, two story heavy timber frame dwelling on a random coursed rubblestone foundation. It has a one-story gable roofed wing. It has a Greek Revival style recessed entry door. Also on the property are a barn (c. 1850), fruit barn (c. 1870), barn foundation (c. 1850), shed (c. 1870), and a chicken coop (c. 1870).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

Valley Paper Mill Chimney and Site is a historic chimney and archaeological site located at Alcove in Albany County, New York. It consists of the surviving 1844 Valley Paper Mill chimney and the site of the former straw pulp paper mill. The chimney is a rectangular brick tapered structure measuring 9.5 feet by 9.5 feet at its base and rising 110 feet. The mill was destroyed by fire in 1891 and the site leveled and filled. A significant portion of the site remains undisturbed from the time of the fire.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

Alcove Reservoir is a reservoir located in Albany County, New York, United States. It serves as a water supply for the city of Albany. At 618 ft (188 m) in elevation, the closest hamlet is Alcove, part of the town of Coeymans. New York State Route 32 passes the reservoir on the west. It was built in 1928–1932, inundating the village of Indian Fields. The Alcove Reservoir is fed by the Hannacroix Creek, Silver Creek and Gulf Creek.

Cornelius and Agnietje Van Derzee House is a historic home and farm complex located at Coeymans in Albany County, New York. It was built about 1765 and is a rectangular two-story rubblestone dwelling with brick gables. The front facade is five bays with a Greek Revival style central entrance. A craftsman inspired porch was added in 1915. A two-story gable roof wing was added to the south elevation about 1890 and a large, two-story Greek Revival era wing is on the west. It has a moderately pitched gable roof. Also on the property are eleven contributing outbuildings and the agricultural setting. They include a tenant house (ca. 1840), large upper barn (1870), hog barn and chicken coop (1813), barn (1825), wagon house (1868), cow barn (1883), wood shop (ca. 1870), corn crib (ca. 1870), fruit barn (1911), paint house (ca. 1880), garage (1890), and brooder house (ca. 1932).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School (technically Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Senior High School) is a small high school in Ravena, New York, about 9 miles south of Albany, New York on U.S. Route 9W. It is known for its football and wrestling. They also have some individual state champions in track and field.; and it is located across the street from the Lafarge cement factory. RCS has numerous clubs, including art, drama club, French, FBLA, key club, S.A.D.D, G.S.A, and Gaming clubFootball at Ravena is their most popular and followed sport. They have won the sectional and regional championships in 1996, 1997, 1998, 2004, 2021, 2022, and 2023. In 1996, the team made a trip to the state championship in the Carrier Dome at Syracuse University.

Onesquethaw Valley Historic District is a national historic district principally located at New Scotland in Albany County, New York. It includes 25 contributing buildings and three contributing archaeological sites. In encompasses farmsteads and sites in part of the valley of Onesquethaw Creek, a tributary of Coeymans Creek. Most notable are eight 18th-century stone houses. The archaeological sites are a grist mill site, sawmill site, and a prehistoric Indian site.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
