Frederick Cramer House

Friend Humphrey House is a historic home located at Colonie in Albany County, New York. It was built about 1841 and is a two-story frame farmhouse with a gable roof and two symmetrically placed chimneys. A one-story ell was added about 1880. It is a transitional vernacular Greek Revival / Federal style dwelling.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Hughson Mansion was a historic home located in the Hamlet of Loudonville, Town of Colonie, County of Albany, State of New York. It was built between approximately 1866 and 1883 and was a large 2+1⁄2-story Second Empire style frame dwelling. It featured a mansard roof with dormers, bracketed cornice, and window surrounds with Baroque details.The mansion was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.In the summer of 1953, the mansion was gifted by Mrs. Frank Hughson to Loudonville Community Church. Loudonville Community Church used the mansion to conduct services and Sunday school until 1959, when a new sanctuary was built adjacent to the mansion. From 1959 until the early 2000s, the mansion was used for Sunday school. The mansion was demolished to make way for Loudonville Community Church's new sanctuary, which was completed in June 2002.

Notable structures include the home of Elias Ireland (ca. 1820), an early school from 1811 that was rebuilt about 1850, summer cottages from the late 19th century including that of Judge Ira Harris, and Georgian Revival homes from the early 20th century.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

It features a single-story front portico supported by four square columns. The roofs have wings along the top balustrades. The rear wall was built around 1880 and the front section in 1916. It is in the Colonial Revival architecture style. The property was purchased by Senator William T. Byrne in 1910.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

West Albany is a hamlet in the town of Colonie, Albany County, New York, United States. Parts of the neighboring city of Albany around Watervliet Avenue Extension and Industrial Park Road are also considered part of West Albany and includes the majority of the West Albany Rail Yard. The hamlet lies along Albany's northern border and was once home to many industries, including one of the largest cattle stockyards in the United States, a large railroad switching yard, and a Tobin First Prize packing plant. Those industries are gone now and the community is mostly a residential suburb of Albany in the shadow of abandoned industrial complexes. West Albany has historically been ethnically diverse with Polish, Italian, Irish, German, and English immigrants drawn by the 5,000+ jobs at the West Albany Rail Yard. Though the neighborhood is predominately Italian-American, it remains diverse with the Polish American Citizens Club, the West Albany Italian Benevolent Society, the Bet Shraga Hebrew Academy, and a Korean worship center in the former St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.
