Montgomery Blair High School

Progressive Maryland (PM) is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit grassroots advocacy organization. Its mission is to build the movement to improve the lives of working families in Maryland through outreach, public education, lobbying, direct political action, research, and helping elect progressive candidates to office. Founded in 2000, it is one of Maryland's largest grassroots advocacy organizations, with more than 100,000 individual members and supporters and 30 affiliated religious, community, and labor organizations.The group is closely allied with a number of local, regional and national campaigns and coalitions promoting progressive policies and politics. It is also the Maryland state affiliate of People's Action, which has over 50 affiliates in 29 states.

Four Corners is a neighborhood and census-designated place (CDP) in Montgomery County, Maryland, United States. Many residents consider the neighborhood a part of Silver Spring, to whose CDP it belonged until 2010. It had a population of 8,316 at the 2020 census.

The Polychrome Historic District is a national historic district in the Four Corners neighborhood in Silver Spring, Montgomery County, Maryland. It recognizes a group of five houses built by John Joseph Earley in 1934 and 1935. Earley used precast concrete panels with brightly colored aggregate to produce the polychrome effect, with Art Deco details. The two-inch-thick panels were attached to a conventional wood frame. Earley was interested in the use of mass-production techniques to produce small, inexpensive houses, paralleling Frank Lloyd Wright's Usonian house concepts.

Indian Spring (also known as Indian Spring Terrace) is a mostly residential neighborhood of Silver Spring, Maryland. Located within the Silver Spring CDP, it is sometimes considered a southeastern neighborhood of Four Corners. It is one of the oldest established neighborhoods in Silver Spring.

Woodmoor is a neighborhood in the northern section of Silver Spring, Maryland in southeastern Montgomery County, in the U.S. state of Maryland. Its borders extend from U.S. 29 to the west, Northwest Branch Park to the north, the Capital Beltway (I-95) to the east, and University Boulevard to the south. It lies on one of the "Four Corners" at the northeastern corner of the intersection of Colesville Road (U.S. 29), and University Boulevard (Maryland 193).

Temple B'Nai Israel is a Reform Jewish synagogue, located at 7199 Tristan Drive, in Easton, Maryland, in the United States. It is the only synagogue on Maryland's upper Eastern Shore. It is also known as the Satell Center for Jewish Life on the Eastern Shore.

Maryland's 4th congressional district wraps around the eastern edge of Washington, D.C., taking in most of Prince George's County and a small portion of Montgomery County. It is home to several racially diverse middle-class suburbs, including College Park, Fort Washington, Greenbelt, and Laurel. With a median household income of $80,808, it is the wealthiest black-majority district in the United States.Like much of the Washington metropolitan area, the 4th district is substantially influenced by the footprint of the nearby federal government. More than 22% of working adults in this district are employed in the public sector. The Washington Metro provides easy access into the nation's capital, where many employees make daily commutes. Various government entities also sit within the 4th district, most notably the United States Census Bureau and NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center. The University of Maryland, College Park—the state's flagship public institution of higher education—is another major presence. Throughout much of the 20th century, the area within this district was predominately white. But as a thriving black middle class emerged in the region and laws eliminating racial discrimination in housing were passed, many African Americans opted to leave Washington for Prince George's County in search of a better quality of life. By the early 1990s, the county had become majority black, and today white voters comprise just 11% of the 4th district. That racial transformation has turned the district into one of the nation's most Democratic seats, with a Cook Partisan Voting Index rating of D+40. In 2022, Democrat Glenn Ivey was elected to represent it with 90.1% of the vote.

Temple Israel is a former Conservative Jewish congregation and synagogue, located at 420 University Boulevard East, in the neighborhood of Montgomery Knolls, in Silver Spring, Maryland, in the United States. The congregation was established in 1951, the building was completed in 1952 and operated as a synagogue until 1997; when it was subsequently repurposed as the Mount Jezreel Baptist Church, a Baptist church building.

Manchester Place is a light rail station that is currently under construction. It will be part of the Purple Line in Maryland. The station will be located underground in between Wayne Avenue and Plymouth Street.

Silver Spring is a census-designated place (CDP) in southeastern Montgomery County, Maryland, United States, near Washington, D.C. Although officially unincorporated, in practice it is an edge city, with a population of 81,015 at the 2020 census, making it the fifth-most populous place in Maryland after Baltimore, Columbia, Germantown, and Waldorf.Downtown, next to the northern tip of Washington, D.C., is the oldest and most urbanized part of the community, surrounded by several inner suburban residential neighborhoods inside the Capital Beltway. Many mixed-use developments combining retail, residential, and office space have been built since 2004.Silver Spring takes its name from a mica-flecked spring discovered there in 1840 by Francis Preston Blair, who subsequently bought much of the surrounding land. Acorn Park, south of downtown, is believed to be the site of the original spring.
