The Siena School is a private 4th–12th grade school headquartered in Silver Spring, Maryland. In 2021, Siena opened a second campus for grades 3–8 in Oakton, Northern Virginia. The school's mission is to prepare "bright, college-bound students with language-based learning disabilities [a.k.a.: learning differences], such as dyslexia, to become confident, curious learners who understand their personal strengths and gain the tools and strategies to excel."

Holy Cross Hospital is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit teaching hospital with revenue of $611 million located in Silver Spring, Maryland. The hospital, the second largest in Maryland, was founded in 1963 by the Sisters of the Holy Cross. The hospital is part of Holy Cross Health, which is a member of Trinity Health of Livonia, Michigan, one of the largest health care systems in the country.

Forest Glen is a side platformed Washington Metro station in Forest Glen, Maryland, United States. The station was opened on September 22, 1990, and is operated by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA). Its opening coincided with the completion of 3.2 miles (5.1 km) of rail north of the Silver Spring station and the opening of Wheaton station. Providing service for the Red Line, the station is located at Georgia Avenue (Maryland Route 97) and Forest Glen Road. The station is the deepest in the system at 196 feet (60 m) deep, so high-speed elevators, rather than escalators, are used for access to the surface.

The Polychrome Historic District is a national historic district in the Four Corners neighborhood in Silver Spring, Montgomery County, Maryland. It recognizes a group of five houses built by John Joseph Earley in 1934 and 1935. Earley used precast concrete panels with brightly colored aggregate to produce the polychrome effect, with Art Deco details. The two-inch-thick panels were attached to a conventional wood frame. Earley was interested in the use of mass-production techniques to produce small, inexpensive houses, paralleling Frank Lloyd Wright's Usonian house concepts.

The Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA) is a U.S. nonprofit organization located in Silver Spring, Maryland dedicated to increasing awareness of and improving the diagnosis, treatment, and cure of anxiety disorders in children and adults. The organization is involved in education, training, and research for anxiety and stress-related disorders. Their mission statement is to promote the prevention, treatment, and cure of anxiety, depression, and other stress-related disorders through education, practice, and research.Notably, they have published several self-improvement books, such as Facing Panic, and Triumph Over Shyness: Conquering Social Anxiety Disorder, in an attempt to assist those with anxiety disorders.

The National Association of the Deaf (NAD) is an organization for the promotion of the rights of deaf people in the United States. NAD was founded in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1880 as a non-profit organization run by Deaf people to advocate for deaf rights, its first president being Robert P. McGregor of Ohio. It includes associations from all 50 states and Washington, DC, and is the US member of the World Federation of the Deaf, which has over 120 national associations of Deaf people as members. It has its headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland. All of its presidents were late-deafened until the 1970s. It is in charge of the Miss Deaf America Ambassador programs, which are held during the association's conventions. It has advocated for deaf rights in all aspects of life, from public transportation to education.

Indian Spring (also known as Indian Spring Terrace) is a mostly residential neighborhood of Silver Spring, Maryland. Located within the Silver Spring CDP, it is sometimes considered a southeastern neighborhood of Four Corners. It is one of the oldest established neighborhoods in Silver Spring.

The Betty Mae Kramer Gallery and Music Room is an art gallery and performance space located in the Silver Spring Civic Building in Silver Spring, Maryland. It was established in November 2010.
