West Island School (WIS; Chinese: 西島中學) is a co-educational, private, international secondary school in Hong Kong which provides an English-language education to students of all abilities from age eleven to eighteen with a "modern liberal education" based on British-influenced international curricula. The campus is a purpose-built development located at 250 Victoria Road, Pokfulam, on the slopes of Mount Davis on Hong Kong Island. Students from Years Seven to Nine study the West Island School Middle Years Diploma; students in Years Ten to Eleven follow either the IGCSE, or the MYP IB Middle Years Programme; and students in Years Twelve to Thirteen follow the IB Diploma curricula. The school is a member of the English Schools Foundation, and as such still receives a small but symbolic subvention from the Government that has been frozen since the 1997 Handover of Hong Kong.

Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Fung Yiu King Hospital (Chinese: 東華三院馮堯敬醫院; Cantonese Yale: Dūngwàh Sāamyún Fùhngyìuhging Yīyún, TWGHs Fung Yiu King Hospital in short) is a charitable geriatric service hospital operated by the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals in Sandy Bay on the Hong Kong Island in Hong Kong.

Tung Wah Coffin Home is a coffin home located upon the hill above Sandy Bay on Hong Kong Island, in Hong Kong. The history of Tung Wah Coffin Home began in 1875 when it was built by the Man Mo Temple. The Coffin Home was originally located in Kennedy Town near a slaughterhouse. The Tung Wah Group of Hospitals then took over the responsibility of managing the coffin home, and it was rebuilt in 1899 near Sandy Bay on Hong Kong Island. It was then renamed as the Tung Wah Coffin Home.

The Duchess of Kent Children's Hospital at Sandy Bay (Chinese: 大口環根德公爵夫人兒童醫院; Cantonese Yale: Daaihháuwàahn Gāndāk Gūngjeuk Fūyàhn Yìhtùhng Yīyún) is a pediatric hospital in Sandy Bay on Hong Kong Island in Hong Kong. Founded in 1955 by the Society for the Relief of Disabled Children, it provides specialist services in pediatric orthopedics, spinal surgery, pediatric neurology, developmental pediatrics and pediatric dental surgery while also providing treatment, rehabilitative services and accommodation for patients over 18 years old, specifically orthopedic patients with spinal problems.

MacLehose Medical Rehabilitation Centre (Chinese: 麥理浩康復院; Cantonese Yale: Mahkléihhouh Hōngfuhk Yún) is a rehab and long-term care hospital above Sandy Bay in Hong Kong. Founded in 1984 by the Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation, it has 150 medical rehabilitation beds, including 20 beds for day rehabilitation service. It is affiliated with the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, the University of Hong Kong, providing clinical attachment opportunities for its medical students.

Hong Kong Chinese Christian Churches Union Pok Fu Lam Road Cemetery or Hong Kong Chinese Christian Churches Union Pokfulam Road Cemetery (Chinese: 香港華人基督教聯會薄扶林道墳場) is a cemetery in Pok Fu Lam, Hong Kong. It is managed by The Hong Kong Chinese Christian Churches Union (Chinese: 香港華人基督教聯會). It lies on the slopes east of Victoria Road between Tung Wah Coffin Home and Pok Fu Lam Road, facing Sandy Bay. Many celebrities are buried in the cemetery, including the families of the four major department stores in Hong Kong (Sincere Department Store, Wing On Department Store, The Sun and Sun Sun Co. Department Store), famous author Xu Dishan, revolutionary Tse Tsan-tai, musician Ho Tai-sor and many more.

St. Clare's Girls' School (Chinese: 聖嘉勒女書院; abbr.: SCGS) is a Catholic English girls' school located on Mount Davis Road, Central and Western District, Hong Kong. It was founded in 1927 by the Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of the Angels from Lennoxville, Québec, Canada.

Mount Davis or Mo Sing Leng is an area surrounding and including the westernmost hill on Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong. It is 269m tall. Home to mostly luxury residences, Mount Davis was originally settled after the construction of Victoria Road, Hong Kong by prominent Hong Kong families who were unable to live on Peak due to the zoning restriction in Peak District Reservation Ordinance, 1904.It is named after Sir John Francis Davis, who was the 2nd Governor of Hong Kong, from 1844 to 1848. The summit is reached via Mount Davis Path, which comes off Mount Davis Road and Victoria Road.

The Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine or LKS Faculty of Medicine (HKUMed), formerly known as the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Hong Kong, is a medical school which comprises several schools and departments that provide an array of tertiary programmes in medicine, nursing, pharmacy and chinese medicine. English is the medium of instruction in all of the classes while Chinese is also retained for the teaching of Chinese medicine. It is located several kilometres away from the main campus of the university and is near the Queen Mary Hospital which is its main teaching facility and research base. Founded in 1887, it is also one of the oldest western medical schools in the Far East. HKU Medical Faculty is the older of the two medical faculties in Hong Kong, the other one being the Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Together they are the sole two tertiary institutions offering medical and pharmacy education and research in the city.

The Queen Mary Hospital is the largest district general hospital located in Pok Fu Lam on Hong Kong Island of Hong Kong. It is part of the teaching hospital of the Faculty of Dentistry and Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine of the University of Hong Kong. It has 1,706 beds. It provides general medical and surgical services to the residents of Western and Southern districts and is a tertiary referral centre for the whole territory of Hong Kong and beyond.

Kennedy Town is at the western end of Sai Wan on Hong Kong Island in Hong Kong. It was named after Arthur Edward Kennedy, the 7th Governor of Hong Kong from 1872 to 1877. Administratively, it is part of Central and Western District. Due to its distance from major commercial cores and longtime inaccessibility by train, town development was less vigorous than in other parts of urban Hong Kong. But since the MTR was extended to the area in 2014, it is rapidly gentrifying, with many older businesses, such as vehicle repair workshops and cha chaan tengs, making way for new luxury developments, as well as high-end bars and restaurants.
