St Peter's Cathedral is an Anglican cathedral church in Hamilton, located in the Waikato region of the North Island of New Zealand. It is located on a small hill, known as Cathedral Hill (Māori: Pukerangiora), in the southern central part of the city off Victoria Street.

The Diocese of Waikato and Taranaki is one of the thirteen dioceses and hui amorangi (Māori bishoprics) of the Anglican Church in Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia. The diocese covers the area from the Waikato to the area surrounding Mount Taranaki in the North Island of New Zealand.

The Meteor Theatre is a black box theatre in Hamilton, New Zealand. Run since 2014 by the One Victoria Trust, the theatre is located in a former soft drinks factory at the southern end of Victoria Street in the central city. Various configurations of the space are possible, allowing up to 650 patrons to attend performances, with the main auditorium, "The Black Box", capable of seating 150.Significant refurbishment of the building took place in 2018 to bring the building up to modern day earthquake standards. A funding campaign raised more than $13,000 and a donation from the Hamilton City Council of $20,000 allowed the theatre to reopen after two months of COVID-19 induced lockdown in 2020. On reopening in June 2020, some performances sold out.The 2021 season includes "Heathers – The Musical", produced by Hannah Mooney, with director Mel Martin, musical director Kirsty Skomski and choreographer Stephanie Balsom.

The Office of the Waikato District Hospital and Charitable Aid Board (Former) is a historic building at 17 Hood Street, in the CBD of Hamilton and was in 2008 listed as Category 2 by Heritage New Zealand.

Waikato Museum (Māori: Te Whare Taonga o Waikato) is a regional museum located in Hamilton, New Zealand. The museum manages ArtsPost, a shop and gallery space for New Zealand art and design. Both are managed by the Hamilton City Council. Outside the museum is The Tongue of The Dog, a sculpture by Michael Parekōwhai that has helped to increase visitor numbers. The sculpture was commissioned by MESH Sculpture Trust, Hamilton.

Waikato Hospital is a major regional hospital in Hamilton, New Zealand. It provides specialised and emergency healthcare for the Midlands and Waikato area with patients referred there from feeder hospitals like Whakatāne, Lakes area, Tauranga, Thames, Tokoroa and Rotorua.

Victoria Bridge (originally known as the Hamilton Traffic Bridge and later also as The Bridge Street Bridge) is a steel arch bridge in Hamilton, New Zealand. The bridge has a Category I heritage protection. The bridge has a main arch of 340 ft (100 m) and 4 land spans. Its total length is 500 ft (150 m). The road is 18 ft (5.5 m) wide and the footpath 4.5 ft (1.4 m). It cost £25,500, equivalent to over $4m in 2017. It replaced the 1879 timber Union Bridge.In 1929 stone steps were built beside the western end of the bridge to link to Ferry Bank.

Hamilton City Libraries are a group of seven libraries in Hamilton, New Zealand, owned by the local city council. They lend fiction and non-fiction (for all ages), magazines, audiobooks, and DVDs. From November 2016 to 9 July 2018, a substitute library compensated for the temporarily closed Central branch, and the libraries closed for over 2 months for COVID-19 in 2020. Waikato District residents living close to Hamilton City can freely use the Hamilton libraries.

The Hamilton Urban Area is a New Zealand urban area in the Waikato region. It is the fourth-largest urban area in the country with a population of 241,200. At its centre is Hamilton City, New Zealand's fourth-largest territorial authority. While rural land separates Hamilton from many of the nearby towns, there is significant economic and social integration between the towns and Hamilton. Like the urban areas of Auckland, Napier-Hastings and Wellington, the Hamilton urban area is subdivided into urban zones. The urban area contains around half the population of the Waikato Region.

A bronze statue of Captain John Fane Charles Hamilton was installed for seven years, in Hamilton, New Zealand, from in 2013 until removal in June 2020. The settlement of Hamilton (now a city) was named after Captain Hamilton, a Royal Navy officer who was killed in action during the Battle of Gate Pā.

Hamilton Central is the central business district of Hamilton, New Zealand. It is located on the western banks of the Waikato River.

The Breeze Waikato is an adult contemporary radio station in Hamilton, New Zealand. It is owned by RadioWorks, a MediaWorks New Zealand company. The Breeze plays music from the 1960s to the present day, aimed at a 35- to 54-year-old female audience.This station was originally Waikato's Y99.3 playing an Adult Contemporary Music Format. The station was changed to an Easy Listening format and relaunched as The Breeze in April 2003, this was the very first station to be rebranded as The Breeze. Originally all shows on this station were live and local but in April 2007 the local daytime show was replaced with a networked show and in August 2009 all other weekday shows except breakfast were replaced with networked shows. Weekend programming initially remained unaffected with the Waikato station continuing to run local shows from 6am to midnight on Saturday's and Sunday. This local programming was reduced from the end of 2010. In April 2014 MediaWorks announced a new local breakfast show and a local drive show would launch in 2015.
