Peasmarsh

Rye Foreign is a small hamlet and civil parish in the Rother district of East Sussex, England. The hamlet is about 2 miles (or 3 km) north-west of Rye, immediately to the east of the larger village of Peasmarsh. The name of the parish came about in 1247, when King Henry III reassumed control of Rye and Winchelsea from the Abbey of Fecamp, but left part of the area still under the Abbey: hence "Rye Foreign". There is no parish church, although the building still stands in secular use. The parish also includes Bowler's Town and Springfield.The parish was formed in 1894 from the part of the ancient parish of Rye outside the borough of Rye. From 1894 to 1934 it was part of the rural district of Hastings. From 1934 to 1974 it was in the Battle Rural District. The local inns are the Royal Oak and the Hare and Hounds.

Leasam Heronry Wood is a 2.1-hectare (5.2-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest north-west of Rye in East Sussex.This wood is not long established but it contains a nationally important heronry. The birds began to use the site in 1935 and have bred there since 1940. There are over fifty breeding pairs, around 1% of the British population.The site is private land with no public access.

Wittersham is a small village and civil parish in the borough of Ashford in Kent, England. It is part of the Isle of Oxney.

Flatropers Wood is a 38-hectare (94-acre) nature reserve in Rye in East Sussex. It is managed by the Sussex Wildlife Trust.The wood is mainly oak and birch, but there are also areas of sweet chestnut and former plantations of Scots pine and beech. The site is notable for its invertebrates, with almost 500 species of moths recorded and the rare oak mining-bee.

Iden is a village and civil parish in the Rother district of East Sussex, England. The village is located two miles (3.2 km) north of Rye. Iden 12th/13th century parish church is dedicated to All Saints. Iden is also a Domesday Village, and listed in the Domesday Book.

Dumb Woman's Lane is a street located in the civil parish of Udimore, near Winchelsea in East Sussex, England. The street has achieved a level of notoriety because of its unusual name. While the etymology remains unconfirmed, sources do concur it owes to a mute woman residing on or near the lane, likely in the 18th century. The street is also known as the residence of the comedian Spike Milligan from 1988 until his death in 2002.

Udimore is a village and civil parish in the Rother district of East Sussex, England. It is located five miles (8 km) west of Rye on the B2089 road to Brede. The ecclesiastical parish is teamed with Brede; the two parish churches are St George, Brede and St Mary Udimore.

Winchelsea railway station is a railway station in East Sussex, England. It is about 0.62 miles (1 km) from Winchelsea and is actually in the neighbouring parish of Udimore. It is on the Marshlink line 9.3 miles (15 km) north east of Hastings, and train services are provided by Southern. The station originally had two platforms, but in 1979, the line was singled and only the up platform is now in use. The former down platform and station building are now converted to a private house.

Gibbet Mill, Tillingham Mill, Barry's Mill or New Mill is a grade II listed cosmetically reconstructed smock mill at Rye, East Sussex, England. Today it serves as bed and breakfast accommodation.

Rye Studio School was a mixed studio school located in Rye, East Sussex, England. It opened in 2013 and catered for students aged 14–19 years. It was located on the Rye College campus, sponsored by the Rye Academy Trust, and is classified as a free school. It closed in 2018.
