Ormiston Endeavour Academy (formerly Thurleston High School) is a secondary school with academy status located in Ipswich in the English county of Suffolk.The school is sponsored by the Ormiston Academies Trust.

Whitton cum Thurlston is a former civil parish in the Ipswich district, in the county of Suffolk, England. It lies two miles north west of the centre of Ipswich. Bramford railway station was built one mile to the south west. Although originally built by Eastern Union Railway by 1868 the station was owned by Great Eastern Railway. In 1901 the parish had a population of 604. The Ipswich and Stowmarket Navigation (River Gipping) passed through the parish, which included the hamlet of Thurlston. It was formerly in Bosmere and Claydon Hundred. The living was a rectory in the diocese of Norwich, valued at £250 in 1868, in the patronage of the bishop. The church, dedicated to St. Mary, was rebuilt in 1852. The old church of Thurlston was then used as a barn.

The Dales Open Space is a 5.9 hectare Local Nature Reserve in Ipswich in Suffolk. It is owned and managed by Ipswich Borough Council.Most of this former quarry is secondary woodland, but there are also areas of scrub, two spring-fed ponds and seasonal pools. In the north the site is a flat valley bottom, and it slopes up steeply in the south.There is access from Dales Road and Baronsdale Close.

Broomhill Park is a semi-natural woodland park between Sherrington Road and Valley Road in Ipswich, Suffolk, England. In older times it was called Broom Hill. The park contains many fine historic oaks and an abundance of Scots Pines. The park contains Broomhill Pool, a Grade II listed lido, which the Broomhill Pool Trust is campaigning to re-open.

Whitton is a civil parish in the Mid Suffolk district, in the county of Suffolk, England. The parish does not include the Ipswich suburb of Whitton. In 2011 the parish had a population of 172. The parish touches Akenham and Claydon. Whitton shares a parish council with Claydon and Barham.

Westbourne is a suburb of Ipswich, on the northwestern fringe of the town, in the Ipswich district, in the county of Suffolk, England. It borders the suburbs of Whitton and Castle Hill to the east and the villages of Bramford and Sproughton to the west. Whitehouse is a large estate occupying the northern part of the suburb. It is named after the West Bourne, a former stream and tributary of the River Gipping that ran east through the north of the suburb then south alongside Westbourne Road. It was diverted in the early twentieth century to supply the town with water. The former stream bed can still be seen on the eastern perimeter of the Bramford Lane Allotments and its waters can be heard flowing beneath the manhole covers on the site. Westbourne Academy (formerly known as Westbourne High School and Westbourne Sports College) takes its name from the district. Westbourne Library in the south of the suburb was renamed Broomhill Library following consultation with local residents after the running of the county's libraries passed from Suffolk County Council to Suffolk Libraries in 2012. The Suffolk Punch is a public house in the area, a notable 'Tolly Folly', styled on the Tollemache stately home, Helmingham Hall. A number of artists and writers live in the district.

Akenham is a village and civil parish in the Mid Suffolk district of Suffolk in Eastern England. Located on the northwestern edge of Ipswich, in 2005 it had an estimated population of 60. At the 2011 Census the population remained less than 100 and was included in the civil parish of Whitton.

It stands in an isolated position in fields 3 miles (5 km) north of Ipswich.

Whitton is an area of Ipswich and once a separate village. It is now a ward of Ipswich Borough Council in Suffolk, England. The civil parish of Whitton in Mid Suffolk district doesn't include the suburb. The site of a Roman villa, the village is thought to have been a Saxon colony, possibly dating from the Saxon invasion of around 430 AD. It appears in the Domesday Book as Widituna, possibly meaning Hwita's farm or White's farm.
