Quincy Township is a township that is located in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. The population was 5,318 at the time of the 2020 census, a decline from the figure of 5,541 that was tabulated during the 2010 census.

Strawberry Hill Nature Preserve and Environmental Center is a non-profit environmental education and conservation organization located on 609 acres (2.46 km2) of land in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of south-central Pennsylvania in Fairfield, Pennsylvania. Nestled in the foothills of the South Mountain Range, the Preserve features 10 miles (16 km) of trails with diverse habitats, including wet and dry woodlands, three ponds, and two mountain streams. The property protects part of the Middle Creek watershed. The nature center features with various artifacts, live reptiles, amphibians, and educational displays. Other facilities include a 1798 log house, a foundation and spillway for an 1850s sawmill, and an outdoor open picnic pavilion. Education programs are offered for adults, school and community groups, as well as public nature programs.

The Carbaugh Run Rhyolite Quarry Site is an archaeological site in Franklin Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is composed of two smaller sites: a group of small quarries on top of Snaggy Ridge, and the remnants of what may have been a campsite along Carbaugh Run below the ridge.: 2  Since their discovery by Norman Keefer in the 1920s, the quarries have been examined informally by a wide range of archaeologists, but no formal study of the site has been conducted. Several other prehistoric quarries are located in the area; it is one of three known quarries along South Mountain alone.: 2  The site has been rated as one of Pennsylvania's leading rhyolite quarries: with forty or more pits, it is one of the largest rhyolite quarry sites in the state. It is believed that the stone still present at the site can be used to determine the origins of rhyolite found in other sites statewide, thus providing clues about trade networks during the period that the quarries were worked. Also significant is the potential connection between the quarries and the streamside site, which may reveal evidence of settlement patterns in the region.: 3  In 1986, the Carbaugh Run Rhyolite Quarry Site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places for its archaeological significance.

Maria Furnace is a South Mountain populated place on Toms Creek in Adams County, Pennsylvania, United States, west of Fairfield, that was the location of an 1822 blast furnace until operations were moved to Caledonia. The remains of the original blast furnace ("Maria Furnace") are located at coordinates: 39|46|30.64 N, 77|24|25.98 W. The remains consist of a pile of rocks in a small wooded area overgrown with vegetation.

Jacks Mountain Tunnel is a railroad tunnel located in Adams County, Pennsylvania about 2.5 miles (4.0 km) southwest of Fairfield. It was built in 1889 by the Baltimore and Harrisburg Railway, which was later acquired by the Western Maryland Railway. The tunnel is currently owned by CSX Transportation and operates as part of the Hanover Subdivision.

Mont Alto State Park is a Pennsylvania state park on 24 acres (9.7 ha) in Quincy Township, Franklin County, Pennsylvania in the United States. The park is on Pennsylvania Route 233 one mile from Mont Alto.

Meeting of the Pines Natural Area is a 611-acre (247 ha) protected area in Franklin County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is part of Michaux State Forest.

Graefenburg is an unincorporated community in Adams County, Pennsylvania, United States. Graefenburg is located on U.S. Route 30 on the westernmost side of the county and in the Michaux State Forest. (11 miles east of Chambersburg)

Monterey, Pennsylvania, is an unincorporated community which was added to the USGS Geographic Names Information System on August 2, 1979. After the site was surveyed c. 1839 for the never-completed Tapeworm Railroad, the summit community was settled on the Emmitsburg & Waynesboro Turnpike [2] east of the Nichol's Gap Road intersection near the Toll Gate and Brown's Spring and later bypassed by the 20th century Pennsylvania Route 16 highway. As with the Pen Mar Park to the south, Monterey was the site of numerous resort facilities such as the Clermont House, 1887 Monterey Hotel,[3] the Monterey House,[4] the Monterey Inn, the Monterey Academy,[5] and the Monterey Country Club. The community's post office established in the late 19th century was named Charmian (another PA post office already was named Monterey),: 7  and the Charmian station of the Baltimore and Harrisburg Railway was established after the Western Extension was laid in 1888–1889 (cf. Monterey Station in 1872).

The Jacks Mountain Covered Bridge (officially known as the G. Donald McLaughlin Memorial Covered Bridge) is an historic American covered bridge which is located in Hamiltonban Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
