Moxby Priory

Marton-cum-Moxby is a civil parish in North Yorkshire, England. The population of the parish was less than 100 at the time of the 2011 Census, therefore its details were included with Farlington. It lies to the east of the villages of Stillington and Farlington, near Easingwold. The settlements are the hamlets of Marton-in-the-Forest and Moxby, both agricultural in character.

Royal Air Force East Moor or RAF East Moor is a former Royal Air Force satellite station located 7.4 miles (11.9 km) north of York, North Yorkshire and 5.5 miles (8.9 km) south-east of Easingwold, North Yorkshire, England. The airfield was initially controlled by the Royal Air Force until the site was transferred to the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1942 before being handed back in November 1945.

Marton Priory was a priory in North Yorkshire, England. It was founded in 1154 and was occupied by Augustinian Monks and Benedictine nuns though the nuns were moved to Moxby in 1167. The priory had a water mill on the River Foss, the earthworks to this can still be seen today in the fields of the farmhouse that occupy the site. The farmhouse also has evidence in its walls of having the original stones from the priory used in its construction.It surrendered to King Henry VIII's agents during the Dissolution of the Lesser Monasteries on 9 February 1536.The land around Marton Abbey Farm is owned by the Church Commissioners.

Sutton Park is an 18th-century Georgian English country house situated on the edge of the village of Sutton-on-the-Forest, North Yorkshire. It is approximately 10 miles north of York, in the ancient Forest of Galtres. The house, a Grade I listed building, is open to the public for part of the year. It is the residence of Sir Reginald Sheffield, 8th Baronet (father of Samantha Cameron, wife of the former Prime Minister David Cameron), and Lady Sheffield. It was a filming location for the house of Ann Walker in the BBC television series Gentleman Jack.

Farlington is a small village and civil parish in the Hambleton District of North Yorkshire, England. It is situated approximately 9.5 miles (15.3 km) north of York between Stillington and Sheriff Hutton. A small stream, the Farlington beck, runs through the village.

Huby is a village and civil parish in the Hambleton District of North Yorkshire, England, about nine and a half miles north of York and five miles south-east of Easingwold. The village has a small shop, post office, fish and chip shop, a Chinese takeaway, a pub, motel rooms, a Methodist church, a sports ground complete with a pavilion, a B&B motel and a village hall.

Brandsby is a village in North Yorkshire, England. The village is the main constituent of the Brandsby-cum-Stearsby Civil Parish in the District of Hambleton. The village is mentioned in the Domesday book. It lies between Easingwold and Hovingham, some 12.3 miles (19.8 km) north of York.
