The complex consists of a well-preserved group of buildings and landscape elements ranging in date from the 1870s to the 1930s. they include a small two-story frame main house, a handsome American Craftsman-style garage, a storage shed, a barn, a corncrib, a lumber shed, and a poultry house.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

WNRN broadcasts in the daytime at 5,000 watts, using a non-directional antenna. The station decreases power to 24 watts at night to protect others on the same frequency. 1590 AM is a regional broadcast frequency. Programming is also heard on FM translator station W203CB at 88.5 MHz, which has a power of 170 watts.

Bensley Community building is inside of Bensley park. The community building is outside of Bensley, setting in walking distance of the CDP. The community is an old village with no active government. The community is over 100 years old. A new police substation in the village is next to the old Bensley Bermuda Rescue Squad, near DuPont Spruance.

Elliott Grays Marker-Jefferson Davis Highway is a historic route marker located on U.S. Route 1, or Jefferson Davis Highway, in Richmond, Virginia. It was erected in 1929, by the United Daughters of the Confederacy. It is one of 16 erected in Virginia along the Jefferson Davis Highway between 1927 and 1947. The marker is an inscribed granite slab with smooth flat faces and rough-cut edges. It measures 47 inches tall, 25 inches wide and 12 inches thick. The stone is engraved with the text "Jefferson Davis Highway This tree marks the site of Battery 17 of the inner defenses of Richmond, 1862-65, and is planted in soil taken from battlefields A memorial to Confederate Soldiers by the Elliott Grays Chapter U.D.C. 1929."It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.The website Roadside America calls this the "Highway Marker to a Dead Confederate Tree", pointing out that the tree mentioned in the inscription died decades ago.

Ampthill Plantation was located in the Virginia Colony in Chesterfield County on the south bank of the James River about four miles south of the head of navigation at modern-day Richmond, Virginia. Built by Henry Cary, Jr. about 1730, it was just upstream of Falling Creek. It was later owned by Colonel Archibald Cary, who maintained a flour mill complex and iron forge at the nearby town of Warwick. Mary Randolph was born there in 1762.

Built from 1938-40, the Art Deco style Model Tobacco Building is the primary six-story building of a six building collection of buildings comprising a former tobacco factory. Located at 1100 Jefferson Davis Highway (U.S. Route 1), in Richmond, Virginia, the building was designed by the Chicago architecture firm of Schmidt, Garden and Erikson and is known for the 9' tall Moderne MODEL TOBACCO letters which dominate the north end of the building. It is one of many Art Deco buildings in Richmond, including assorted buildings on Grace Street including the Central National Bank building, the Virginia Union Belgian Building, Medical College of Virginia's West Hospital, Henrico Theatre, Thomas Jefferson High School (Richmond, Virginia), and Nolde Bakery, 306-308 North 26th Street, and the Patrick Henry Building on 1111 E. Board Street built in 1938-40. Currently the building houses approximately 3.5 acres (14,000 m2) of used cubicle partitions and other miscellaneous office furniture.
