Paisley-Rice Log House is a historic home located near Mebane, Orange County, North Carolina. It believed to date to the late-18th century. The log dwelling is composed of two sections and follows the three-room Quaker plan, or Continental Plan. Located between the two sections is a chimney. The interior features vernacular Georgian woodwork. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Charles F. and Howard Cates Farm, also known as Swathmoor Farm, is a historic farm complex and national historic district located near Mebane, Alamance County, North Carolina. It encompasses 11 contributing buildings, 1 contributing site, and 5 contributing structures on a farm near Mebane. The district includes the two-story double-pile Cates farmhouse (c. 1801, c. 1851) and a collection of outbuildings and supporting structures. These include outbuildings probably associated with pickle manufacture such as the packhouse (c. 1900) and the office (c. 1920); outbuildings associated with dairying including the multipurpose barn (c. 1910), the well house (c. 1930), and the milk barn (c. 1939–40); and the mule barn, gas house, tool shed, pump house, privy, and chicken house (c. 1910). Its owner Charles F. Cates was instrumental in establishing the Woodlawn School.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

The school runs on block scheduling from 8:45 am to 3:45 pm. They are currently running on a 4-block school day with semester long courses. Students can choose between eight total classes a year.

The Woodlawn School is a historic school building located near Mebane, Alamance County, North Carolina. It is based on a design by architects Barrett & Thomson and built in two stages in 1911-12 and 1913. It is a Queen Anne style frame building with a gable roof and belfry. The listing included one contributing building and two contributing structures (a ballfield and a wood shed) on 4.4 acres (1.8 ha). It was originally used as a school and community center and, after 1935, exclusively as a community center. A stage was added to one of the classrooms and the ballfield constructed in 1939, with Works Progress Administration funds.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

Griffis-Patton House is a historic plantation house located near Mebane, Alamance County, North Carolina. It was built in 1839–1840, and is a two-story, five-bay, brick Greek Revival style house. The front facade features a single story entrance porch with four original, rounded brick columns. Also on the property are the contributing one-story frame kitchen, a small one-story well house, and a small one-story frame shed roof chicken house, now used as a wood shed.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

It was built about 1850, and is a two-story, three-bay, center hall plan, brick vernacular Greek Revival style farmhouse. It has a single-story rear kitchen ell.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

Durham Hosiery Mill No. 15, also known as Mebane Yarn Mills, Inc. and Rockfish-Mebane Yarn Mills, Inc., is a historic hosiery mill building located at Mebane, Alamance County, North Carolina. It was built in 1922, and is a two-story, 20-bay, cast-in-place concrete mill building. Two-story concrete pilasters define each window bay. It features a centrally-placed, two-story, projecting square tower. A nine bay addition was built in 1966. The mill closed in 2001.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

It encompasses 30 contributing buildings, and 1 contributing structure in the central business district of Mebane. The district includes one and two-part commercial blocks of one to three stories in height, executed in the Colonial Revival and Neo-Classical styles. The earliest buildings date to about 1905. Notable buildings include two former banks (c. 1910, c. 1919), the Five Star Building (c. 1910), Mebane Enterprise Building (c. 1940), and Jones Department Store Building (c. 1910).It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.
