Kingsbury School is a coeducational secondary school located in the village of Kingsbury, Warwickshire, England. Its main catchment area is Kingsbury, but students also attend from a number of neighbouring villages, such as Hurley and Whitacre Heath, Picadilly, Wood End, Bodymoor Heath and Middleton. The school occupies a fairly central part of the village, and a school has existed in Kingsbury for over 300 years. The original school was established in 1686 by Thomas Coton. The present comprehensive school was built in 1956, and currently caters for around 610 students, whose ages range from 11 to 18. It is a specialist mathematics and science college. Following poor results in 2008 where the school was placed at the bottom of the Warwickshire league tables and significantly below national the school has undergone significant transformation. Under new leadership (and largely new staffing) A*-C results have improved to be significantly above the national average (67% A*-C including English and Maths 2013). The school received as a result an award for being in the top 40 of most improved schools (2010-2013). In 2015 Mr Simon Cotton the Headteacher at the time moved on with Mr Martin Clarke (Current Headteacher) taking over. The school has since achieved an Ofsted good rating and contributes to be one of the most successful schools in Warwickshire. In addition, there is a swimming pool, which is open to the public during evenings, weekends and holidays. The pool, built in 1972 by Kingsbury Parish Council, has been managed by Warwickshire County Council since it was first opened. In February 2009 the future of the pool was placed in doubt after Warwickshire County Council announced their intention to withdraw funding at the end of the 2009/10 financial year. However, following a local campaign to save the pool, the Council agreed to continue funding for a further year while a plan for the long-term future of the pool is sought. As of 2020 the pool still remains in operation, being frequently used for P.E lessons despite its rather dire condition. In 2011 the school took control of the pool and developed alongside a new sports hall in order to develop the site as a leisure centre. Since this time the newly founded KSA (Kingsbury Sports Academy Leisure Centre) has gained in popularity as a result of its highly thought of facilities.Previously a community school administered by Warwickshire County Council, Kingsbury School converted to academy status in March 2015. However the school continues to coordinate with Warwickshire County Council for admissions.

Kingsbury is a large village and civil parish in the North Warwickshire district of the county of Warwickshire, in the West Midlands region of England. The civil parish population at the 2011 census was 7,652.The village is situated close to the Staffordshire border between Tamworth and Birmingham, which is 5.5 miles (9 km) to the north, and overlooks the River Tame. The A51 to Chester starts from here; as does the A4097, which runs through Curdworth and Minworth before joining the A38. This continues to Junction 6 of the M6 (Spaghetti Junction) giving access to the motorway network of the Midlands and the City of Birmingham. Kingsbury is notable for the Kingsbury Water Park, a shooting range and a large oil storage depot to the north-east. The church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul dates from the 12th century and is a grade II* listed building.

Kingsbury Colliery was a coal mine in Kingsbury, Warwickshire, which operated between 1897 and 1968.

The Echills Wood Railway is a 7+1⁄4 in (184 mm) miniature hobbyist railway in Kingsbury Water Park, Warwickshire, England. A feature of the railway is its gnome village, a collection of garden gnomes donated by the public. The gnome village was vandalised in September 2016, when several of the ornaments were damaged. The incident prompted members of the public to donate replacements following an appeal by railway members. Local newspaper, the Tamworth Herald also backed the appeal. The attraction was destroyed for a second time by vandals in April 2017.

Kingsbury Oil Terminal is an oil storage depot located to the northeast of the village of Kingsbury, Warwickshire, England. It was opened in the late 1960s and serves the Midlands region. It is the largest inland oil storage depot in the United Kingdom. The main operators at the site are Essar, Warwickshire Oil Storage Limited and Valero Energy Corporation. The site also has facilities from Shell and pipeline operations from the British Pipeline Agency.In August 2006 the terminal was targeted by terrorists as part of a terror plot involving several sites across the country.

Kingsbury Water Park is a country park in north Warwickshire, England, not far from Birmingham and lying on the River Tame. It is owned and managed by Warwickshire County Council. It has fifteen lakes situated in over 600 acres (2.4 km2) of country park. It is renowned for its birdlife, and is popular with birdwatchers. It is bordered on the western edge by the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal.

Bodymoor Heath is a small village in the North Warwickshire district of the county of Warwickshire in England, situated on, and with a bridge over, the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal close to the much larger village of Kingsbury.

Piccadilly is a small village in the North Warwickshire district of the county of Warwickshire in England. It is located near to the larger village of Kingsbury (where population details are included), and is four miles south of Tamworth.

Tamworth was a rural district in the English Midlands from 1894 to 1965. It was created under the Local Government Act 1894 from Tamworth rural sanitary district, and was one of a handful of rural districts to cross county boundaries, with part in Staffordshire and part in Warwickshire. It entirely surrounded the town of Tamworth. The Staffordshire part was made part of Lichfield Rural District in 1934, under a County Review Order, leaving only the Warwickshire part, to the south and east of Tamworth. The rest of the district was abolished in 1965, with part (including the majority of the population) going to the borough of Tamworth, and part going to Meriden Rural District, with most going to Atherstone Rural District.

Lea Marston is a village and civil parish on the River Tame in Warwickshire, England, about 7 miles (11 km) south-west of Atherstone. Lea Marston is close to the county boundary with Birmingham and about 4.5 miles (7.2 km) east of Sutton Coldfield.

Middleton Lakes RSPB reserve is a 160 hectares (400 acres) nature reserve, formally opened on 19 May 2011, created and run by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds at Middleton, Warwickshire, England, just south of Tamworth. The Northern part of the reserve lies in Staffordshire, yet the reserve is only a few minutes from the outskirts of Birmingham.Much of the site was, until its acquisition by the RSPB in 2007, a gravel quarry, operated by Hanson Aggregates. The site was formerly referred to, in birding literature, as Fishers Mill- (Warwickshire), Drayton Bassett- (Staffordshire) and Dosthill- (to the East) -Lakes, -Pools, -Pits or -Gravel Pits.
