UAMS College of Medicine

UAMS Medical Center is a teaching hospital and a Level I trauma center in Little Rock, Arkansas.

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is a public health sciences university in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is part of the University of Arkansas System and consists of six colleges, seven institutes, several research centers, a statewide network of community education centers, and the UAMS Medical Center.

Arkansas State Hospital, originally known as Arkansas Lunatic Asylum, is the sole public psychiatric hospital in the state of Arkansas, and is located in the city of Little Rock. It was established in 1883 and as of 2023, it is still active. Its main focus is on acute care rather than chronic illness.

The Albert Retan House is a historic house at 506 North Elm Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. The house is a 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame structure, with a complex cross-gabled hip roof configuration studded by gabled projections. The exterior is finished in wooden clapboards, and it has a single-story wraparound porch with turned posts and delicate woodwork balustrade and spindled frieze. The house was built in 1893 for Albert Retan, an early investor in the Pulaski Heights subdivision where it stands.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Ray Winder Field was a baseball park in Little Rock, Arkansas. The ballpark sat with home plate in roughly the north-northwest corner of the property. The former boundaries of the park were Interstate 630 (south, right field); Jonesboro Drive (west, right field corner); South Monroe Street (west, first base stands); buildings on driveway extended from Ray Winder Drive (north, third base stands); buildings bordering South Palm Street (east, right field). The field was in operation for around 74 years.

The Robert E. Lee School is a historic former school building at 3805 West 12th Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. Now a local community and social service center, this collegiate Gothic two-story masonry building was built in 1906-07 and twice enlarged. The original design was by Gibb & Sanders, and the additions were by Theo Sanders (1910) and Thomas Harding, Jr. (1930). The city used the building as a school until 1971. In the 1990s it was used as a teacher training facility, and was in 2005 repurposed as a community center.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

The Florence Crittenton Home is a historic house at 3600 West 11th Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. Its main block is a two-story brick hip-roof structure, to which similarly styled ells have been added to the right and rear. Its front facade is symmetrical, with a central entrance sheltered by a Colonial Revival portico supported by grouped columns and topped by a painted iron railing. The house was built in 1917 to a design by the architectural firm Thompson & Harding.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Over-the-Jumps Carousel, also known as the Herschell-Spillman Carousel is a historic carousel at the Little Rock Zoo in Little Rock, Arkansas. Built in the 1920s and first exhibited at the 1924 Arkansas State Fair, it is believed to be the last operating "over-the-jumps" carousel in the world, with an original undulating wooden platform mounted on a 1960s-vintage caterpillar drive. The horses were carved by the Allan Herschell Company. After many years of private ownership, the carousel was acquired by a local nonprofit group and donated to the zoo in 2007. The carousel was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

War Memorial Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Little Rock, Arkansas. The stadium is primarily used for American football and is the home stadium for the Catholic High School Rockets, the Parkview Magnet High School Patriots, and the secondary home stadium for the University of Arkansas Razorbacks. The USL League Two affiliated Little Rock Rangers hold both home games and youth academies at the stadium. The Arkansas Activities Association high school football championship games for all classifications are held at the stadium annually.

The Adrian Brewer Studio is a historic artist's studio at 510 Cedar Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is an architectural blend of Moderne and Arts and Crafts styling, designed in collaboration by Max Mayer and George Trapp and built in 1945 for one of Arkansas' leading artists of the period, Adrian Brewer. The building features masonry construction with heavy wooden timber elements, an entrance trellis made out of repurposed railroad ties, and a door made of pecky cypress wood. The studio is the only major surviving space associated with the artist.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.
