Zennor Quoit

Sperris Quoit is a ruined megalithic burial chamber or dolmen, and one of a type of tomb unique to West Penwith, located on a moor around 365 metres northeast of Zennor Quoit, being roughly halfway between Zennor and Amalveor, Cornwall. It is the northernmost quoit in the Penwith peninsula and a Scheduled Monument.

The Wayside Folk Museum was a small private museum situated in the village of Zennor in west Cornwall, United Kingdom. It was the oldest private museum in Cornwall.The exhibition within the museum concentrates on the past lives, traditions and practices of the people of Zennor and Penwith. Displays includes the kitchen and parlour of a miller's cottage, a mill house, a blacksmith shop, exhibits on fishing, farming, mining, domestic life and archaeology. The museum closed in 2015 due to retirement.

Amalveor (Cornish: Amal Veur, meaning "great Amal"; 'Amal' appears to be the name of a river) is a hamlet in West Penwith, Cornwall, England, United Kingdom at grid reference SW 482 375. The hamlet is 3 miles (4.8 kilometres) south-west of St Ives. It is in the civil parish of Towednack. A pair of gold bracelets were discovered at Amalveor Farm (about one mile due west of the church) on 11 December 1931 and were declared to be treasure trove. The bracelets were dated as middle Bronze Age (about 1000BC) and are now in the British Museum. To the west is Sperris Quoit.

St Senara's Church, in Zennor Churchtown, Cornwall, England, UK, is the parish church of the parish of Zennor. It is in the Deanery of Penwith, Archdeaconry of Cornwall, and Diocese of Truro. It is dedicated to the local saint, Saint Senara, and is at least 1400 years old, though it was rebuilt in the 12th century. It is a Grade I listed building.

Zennor is a village and civil parish in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. The parish includes the villages of Zennor, Boswednack and Porthmeor and the hamlet of Treen. Zennor lies on the north coast, about 6 miles (10 km) north of Penzance, along the B3306 road which connects St Ives to the A30 road. Alphabetically, the parish is the last in Britain. Its name comes from the Cornish name for the local saint, Saint Senara.Zennor Head is a coastal promontory north of the village. The cliffs rise over 60 metres (200 ft) from the sea and the highest point of the headland is 96 metres (314 ft) above sea level. The village itself is at an elevation of around 110 metres (360 ft). Zennor lies within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Almost a third of Cornwall has AONB designation, with similar status and protection as a National Park. Helen Dunmore's 1993 novel Zennor in Darkness is set in and around the village in 1917 when D. H. Lawrence lived nearby. Zennor is also mentioned in the Ulysses Moore series of books, written by Pierdomenico Baccalario; in fact, near Zennor and St Ives there would be the mysterious hamlet of Kilmore Cove, the place where the series is mainly set.

The Tinner's Arms is a Grade II-listed traditional Cornish pub in Zennor, Cornwall. The name is derived from the Tinners, with records of tin extraction in the area dating back to Tudor times.D. H. Lawrence stayed for a fortnight in the pub in 1916. The pub sign pictures a tin miner at work, testimony to its origins. It is the only pub in the village.

The Carracks (Cornish: Kerrek, meaning rocks) and Little Carracks (Cornish: Karrek an Ydhyn, meaning rock of the birds) are a group of small rocky inshore islands off the Atlantic north coast of west Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. The name comes from "carrek", the Cornish language word for 'rock'. The Little Carracks were still known as Carrack an Heythen c. 1920. The islands are in Zennor civil parish.The islands are located between Zennor and St Ives and are approximately 200 metres (660 ft) off shore; The Little Carracks are between the Carracks and Towednack Quae Head which is east of the islands. The largest island in the group is sometimes referred to as Seal Island and is home to Atlantic grey seals, dogfish, anglerfish and sea anemones. Boats from St Ives often travel to and from the islands to give visitors the chance to observe the seals and other wildlife on the island. In 1916, the Enrico Parodi, a 339-foot-long (103 m), 3,818-ton steel vessel, struck Gurnard's Head during thick fog. While being towed, it sank off The Carracks and remains there at present as a diving attraction.

Towednack (Cornish: Tewydnek) is a churchtown and civil parish in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. The parish is bounded by those of Zennor in the west, Gulval in the south, Ludgvan in the west and south, and St Ives and the Atlantic Ocean in the north and east. The church is about two miles (3 km) from St Ives and six miles (10 km) from Penzance.Towednack lies within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Almost a third of Cornwall has AONB designation, with the same status and protection as a National Park.

Chysauster Ancient Village (Cornish: Chisylvester, meaning Sylvester's house) is a late Iron Age and Romano-British village of courtyard houses in Cornwall, United Kingdom, which is currently in the care of English Heritage. The village included eight to ten houses, each with its own internal courtyard. To the south east is the remains of a fogou, an underground structure of uncertain function.

Zennor Head ; (Cornish: Penn Senar) is a 750-metre (2,460 ft) long promontory on the Cornish coast of England, between Pendour Cove and Porthzennor Cove. Facing the Atlantic Ocean, it lies 1 kilometre north-west of the village of Zennor and 1.6 kilometres east of the next promontory, Gurnard's Head. The granite (Killas) cliffs rise over 200 feet (60 m) from the sea and the highest point of the headland is 314 feet (96 m) above sea level, with an Ordnance Survey triangulation station. Zennor Head is on the South West Coast Path, which follows the cliff edge closely, skirting the entire perimeter of the headland. The promontory is part of the Penwith Heritage Coast, and is the largest coastal feature in the United Kingdom that begins with the letter "Z". It gets its name from a local saint, Senara. Zennor Head was mined for copper and tin in the Victorian Era. There is no longer any residential or commercial occupancy on the headland, but it is occupied by a variety of coastal animals and plants, such as kestrels and gorse.

Baker's Pit Nature Reserve is a nature reserve in the parish of Ludgvan, west Cornwall managed by the Cornwall Wildlife Trust (CWT). The reserve is on the moorland of Noon Diggery and is south of the Castle-an-Dinas hillfort and Roger's Tower, a folly built within the hillfort. Within the reserve is a distinctively shaped enclosure with a funnel-like entrance resembling a banjo enclosure, which is an Iron Age ritual site found mostly in Wessex and south-east England and the only known one in Cornwall, The land was donated by Imerys to the CWT in 2000 and part of the reserve is a disused china clay quarry.
