Kharkiv Regional College of Physical Culture and Sports (Ukrainian: Харківське обласне вище училище фізичної культури та спорту) also known as OUFK or KhOVUFKS is a sports college in Kharkiv that provides sports reserve for Olympic sports and is subordinated to the Kharkiv city council. Note that in Kharkiv are two colleges of Physical Culture, one belongs to the Kharkiv Oblast, another is administered directly by the Government of Ukraine through the Ministry of Sports. The college was created in 1986 as the Kharkiv city boarding school in winter sports. In 1997-2002 it was known as the Regional Humanitarian College (Ukrainian: обласне вище гуманітарне училище). The college is specialized in following sports: badminton, basketball, biathlon, volleyball, handball, table tennis, cross-country skiing, powerlifting, athletics (short track), female association football, chess. Upon successful completion a college graduate of the school receives an undergraduate diploma in "Physical development". After fall of the Soviet Union, the college hockey team OUFK Kharkiv participated in the Ukrainian national hockey tournaments.

JSC "Khartron" (Hartron) (Ukrainian: Хартрон, formerly NPO "Electropribor", Russian: НПО "Электроприбор", meaning Scientific Production Association "Electrical device"; originally known as NII-692 or OKB-692 design bureau; afterwards known as KB electropriborostroeniya before being named NPO Electropribor) is one of the leading design engineering bureaus in former Soviet states (and the only in Ukraine), which develops and produces spacecraft and missile control systems.

Kharkiv North Airport (ICAO: UKHV) (also known as Kharkiv Sokilnyky Airport) is an airport in Ukraine located 4 km north of Kharkiv. It is the site of factory airfield GAZ 135 (Kharkiv APO). Early Tupolev jetliners were built here, and later the Antonov An-72 and An-74.

Kharkiv Television Tower (Ukrainian: Харківська телевізійна вежа), most commonly known as the Kharkiv TV Tower (Ukrainian: Харківська телевежа), is a 240.7 m (790 ft) tall steel truss television tower for FM-/TV-broadcasting in Kharkiv, Ukraine. It is of similar design of Kyiv TV Tower, but has legs of a closed metal structure. In addition, the tower was constructed with truss-like space frames, which are lightweight rigid structures constructed from/by interlocking and/or intertwining struts in a geometric pattern.

Dynamo Stadium in Kharkiv, Ukraine was the home ground of several Kharkiv professional football clubs, such as FC Metalist Kharkiv, FC Helios Kharkiv and FC Kharkiv.

Maxim Gorky Central Park for Culture and Recreation (Ukrainian: Парк культури і відпочинку «Максим Горький», Russian: Центральный парк культуры и отдыха имени Максима Горького) is a Kharkiv, Ukraine, city park consisting of over 130 hectares of land. It is bounded in the southern corner by Vesnina Street in the east - Sumska Street to the north - the so-called elite private settlement construction, and in the west - Dynamo street corner and Novgorod.

H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University is a Ukrainian university in Kharkiv.

The B. Verkin Institute for Low Temperature Physics and Engineering is a research institute that conducts basic research in experimental and theoretical physics, mathematics, as well as in the field of applied physics. It was founded in 1960 by Borys Verkin, Oleksandr Galkin, Borys. Eselson and Ihor Dmytrenko. The first director was Borys Verkin. Main areas of research are high-temperature superconductivity, weak superconductivity, magneto antiferromagnets, physics of low-dimensional systems, point-contact spectroscopy, quantum crystals, nonlinear phenomena in metals, physics of disordered systems, quantum phenomena in plasticity and others. The institute has published about 250 monographs, textbooks, reference books, more than 12,000 articles and reviews in ranking scientific journals, and has trained more than 850 highly qualified experts — PhDs.

The Monument to the Liberator Soldier (Ukrainian: Пам'ятник Воїну-визволителю, Russian: Памятник Воину-освободителю), commonly called "Pavlusha" (Ukrainian: Павлуша, Russian: Павлуша) is a large monument in Kharkiv to the Soviet troops who liberated the city from German occupation in 1943. The monument is located across from the August 23 metro station. It was dedicated in 1981. The sculptors were Y. I. Ryk and I. P. Yastryebov, and the architects were A. A. Maksimenko, E. A. Svyatchenko, and E. Y. Cherkasov. The centerpiece is a large statue of a Red Army soldier with a carbine raised high in his right hand. The statue is flanked by two artillery pieces and walls with replicas of the Order of Victory and the Order of the Patriotic War.By 2009, the monument was in need of repair and maintenance. Previously, this had been the responsibility of the Green Areas Trust, but this body was now defunct, and so the monument had not been maintained for a decade, and required attention including testing for structural integrity, cleaning, and refacing of the pedestal.The repair was paid for by extrabudgetary funds. Money was raised by local and regional party leaders. Repair and cleaning of the pedestal alone cost more than 60,000 hryvnia. The project was completed within six months, in time for Victory Day (May 9) of 2010. Further cleaning and restoration was done in 2012.Kharkivites call the monument "Pavlusha" (by way of analogy with the Bulgarian monument "Alyosha" in Plovdiv), or simply "The Soldier". It is a popular meeting place and background for photographs. In 2013, the National Bank of Ukraine issued a commemorative coin "Liberation of Kharkiv from the Fascist Invaders" as part of the series Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, showing the statue on the obverse.

The Metro Bridge (Ukrainian: Харківський метроміст) is the only bridge of the Kharkiv Metro, located between the Kyivska and Akademika Barabashova stations on the Saltivska Line. The bridge crosses above the Kharkiv River and is fully enclosed without any windows to maintain the air flow. Its construction forced the demolition of a section of the Zhuravlivka private residential sector.

People's Ukrainian Academy is a private institution of higher education in Kharkiv. Despite its full name (The Kharkiv University of Humanities' "People's Ukrainian Academy"), it is not affiliated with the University of Kharkiv.

23 Serpnia (Ukrainian: 23 Серпня, (listen)) is a station on Kharkiv Metro's Oleksiivska Line. The station is one of two new stations added to the metro system on 21 August 2004, the other being Botanichnyi Sad.
