Bezliudivka

Lake Pidborivske (Ukrainian: Підборівське озеро) is a lake located in the north of urban-type settlement of Bezliudivka in Kharkiv Raion, Kharkiv Oblast of Ukraine. It is often visited by residents of Kharkiv for recreation. On the lake there is a water park "Alexandra", "White Beach" and "Pisochnytsia" beach. The name comes from the Bezliudivka district, called "Pidborivka"

Lake Nahorivske (Ukrainian: Нагорівське озеро) is a lake located in the south of urban-type settlement of Bezliudivka in Kharkiv Raion, Kharkiv Oblast of Ukraine. It is often visited by residents of Kharkiv for recreation. On the lake there are two beaches of private enterprises "Agat" and LLC "Federation of Boxing and Kickboxing". Near the lake there is a sand pit. This lake is separated by a spit from the neighboring Kovalenky Lake. The name comes from the Bezliudivka district, called "Nahorivka".

Khorosheve (Ukrainian: Хорошеве, Russian: Хорошево) is a rural settlement in Kharkiv Raion of Kharkiv Oblast in Ukraine. It is located on the right bank of the Udy, in the drainage basin of the Don, south of the city of Kharkiv. Khorosheve belongs to Bezliudivka settlement hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: 3,984 (2022 estimate). Until 26 January 2024, Khorosheve was designated urban-type settlement. On this day, a new law entered into force which abolished this status, and Khorosheve became a rural settlement.

The Odesa Soviet Republic (OSR; Ukrainian: Одеська Радянська Республіка, romanized: Odeska Radianska Respublika; Russian: Одесская Советская Республика) was a short-lived Soviet republic formed on 30 January [O.S. 17 January] 1918 from parts of the Kherson and Bessarabia Governorates of the former Russian Empire.

The Donetsk–Krivoy Rog Soviet Republic or Donetsk–Kryvyi Rih Soviet Republic (Russian: Донецко-Криворожская советская республика, romanized: Donetsko-Krivorozhskaya sovyetskaya respublika, Ukrainian: Донецько-Криворізька Радянська Республіка, romanized: Donetsko-Kryvorizka Radianska Respublika) was a self-declared Soviet republic of the Russian SFSR proclaimed on 12 February 1918. It was founded three days after the government of the Ukrainian People's Republic (UPR) signed its Treaty of Brest-Litovsk with the Central Powers, which recognised the borders of the UPR. Lenin did not support the creation of the entity and neither did Sverdlov. Some other Bolsheviks like Elena Stasova, however, sent a telegraph of best wishes. The Donetsk–Krivoy Rog Soviet Republic claimed the territories south of the neighbouring Ukrainian People's Republic, including the Donbas, Kharkiv, Yekaterinoslav, and part of the Kherson Governorates. In the beginning, the republic's capital was the city of Kharkiv, but later with the retreat of the Red Guard it moved to Luhansk. The newly created government challenged the authority of the General Secretariat of Ukraine and the People's Secretariat. Some of the commissars held positions as secretaries in another Bolshevik government in Ukraine, the People's Secretariat. The Donetsk–Krivoy Rog Soviet Republic was disbanded at the second All-Ukrainian Congress of Soviets on 20 March 1918 when the independence of Soviet Ukraine was announced. The Donetsk–Krivoy Rog Soviet Republic failed to achieve recognition, either internationally or by the Russian SFSR, and in accordance with the March 1918 second Treaty of Brest-Litovsk was abolished. The Donetsk–Krivoy Rog Soviet Republic was invoked during the war in Donbas (started 2014), when the legislature of the unrecognised separatist Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) adopted a memorandum on 5 February 2015 declaring itself the successor to the Donetsk–Krivoy Rog Soviet Republic, and Artyom as founding father.

Slobidskyi District (Ukrainian: Слобідський район) is an urban district of the city of Kharkiv, Ukraine, named after historical eastern region of Ukraine, Sloboda Ukraine. The district was created in 1940 as Kominternivskyi after the Kharkiv Locomotive Factory of Komintern (today Malyshev Factory. In May 2016 it was renamed to its current name to comply with decommunization laws.

Vasyshcheve (Ukrainian: Васищеве, Russian: Васищево) is a rural settlement in Kharkiv Raion of Kharkiv Oblast in Ukraine. It lies on the banks of the Studenok where it joins the Udy, in the drainage basin of the Don. Vasyshcheve belongs to Bezliudivka settlement hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: 5,641 (2022 estimate). Until 26 January 2024, Vasyshcheve was designated urban-type settlement. On this day, a new law entered into force which abolished this status, and Vasyshcheve became a rural settlement.

Babai (Ukrainian: Бабаї; Russian: Бабаи) is a rural settlement in Kharkiv Raion, Kharkiv Oblast, Ukraine. It is located on the right bank of the Udy in the drainage basin of the Don. Babai belongs to Vysokyi settlement hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: 6,487 (2022 estimate).Until 26 January 2024, Babai was designated urban-type settlement. On this day, a new law entered into force which abolished this status, and Babai became a rural settlement.

Nemyshlyanskyi District (Ukrainian: Немишлянський район) is an urban district of the city of Kharkiv, Ukraine, named after a neighborhood in the city Nemyshlya. The district is the newest being created in 1973 out of portions of Moskovskyi, Ordzhonikidzevskyi, and Kominternivskyi as Frunzenskyi. In 2016 it was renamed to its current name to comply with decommunization laws.

The Lopan (Russian and Ukrainian: Лопань) is a river that rises in Belgorod Oblast of Russia and flows across the Russian-Ukrainian border into Kharkiv Oblast where it joins the Udy in Kharkiv. The river is 93 kilometres (58 mi) long. The river Kharkiv is one of its tributaries.

Pokotylivka (Ukrainian: Покотилівка, Russian: Покотиловка) is an urban-type settlement in Kharkiv Raion of Kharkiv Oblast in Ukraine. It is a southwestern suburb of Kharkiv and is located on the left bank of the Udy, in the drainage basin of the Don. Pokotylivka belongs to Vysokyi settlement hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: 9,252 (2021 est.)

The Malyshev Factory (Ukrainian: Завод імені В.О. Малишева, romanized: Zavod imeni V.O. Malysheva; abbreviated ЗІМ, ZIM), formerly the Kharkov Locomotive Factory (Харьковский паровозостроительный завод, Khar'kovskiy parovozostroitel'nyy zavodХПЗ, KhPZ), is a state-owned manufacturer of heavy equipment in Kharkiv, Ukraine. It was named after the Soviet politician Vyacheslav Malyshev. The factory is part of the State Concern UkrOboronProm (Ukrainian Defense Industry). It produces diesel engines, farm machinery, coal mining, sugar refining, and wind farm equipment, but is best known for its production of Soviet tanks, including the BT tank series of fast tanks, the famous T-34 of the Second World War, the Cold War T-64 and T-80, and their modern Ukrainian successor, the T-84. The factory is closely associated with the Morozov Design Bureau (KMDB), designer of military armoured fighting vehicles and the Kharkov Engine Design Bureau (KEDB) for engines. During 1958 it constructed "Kharkovchanka", an off-road vehicle which reached the South Pole the following year. At its height during the Soviet era, the factory employed 60,000 of Kharkiv's 1.5 million inhabitants.As of 2015, 5,000 people worked at the factory.
