Santa's Village Amusement & Water Park (formerly known and colloquially referred to this day as simply Santa's Village) is a theme park in East Dundee, Illinois. It was originally built by Glenn Holland, who also built two other Santa's Villages, in California; one located in San Bernardino County and the other in Santa Cruz County. The Illinois park, the third to be built, was intended to be the flagship of a chain of Santa's Villages across the country. However, parks planned for Richmond, Virginia and Cherry Hill, New Jersey, were never built, and the park in East Dundee became the last of its kind. The park operated as Santa's Village from 1959 until 2006, when it closed. Five years later, after extensive rehabilitation, the park reopened under new ownership. Renamed Santa's Village Azoosment Park because of the shared focus on both rides and animals, the Azoosment Park has nearly twenty rides and attractions, and hundreds of exotic and farm animals in an interactive environment. For a short time in 1972 the park was named Worlds of Fun. To avert legal feuds with other parks with similar names, the name was changed again to Three Worlds of Santa's Village. In 2021, the park updated its name to Santa's Village Amusement & Water Park.

East Dundee is a village in Kane County with a small section in Cook County. The population was 3,152 at the 2020 census.

The Dundee Township Park District provides park areas, open spaces, recreational facilities and services in the Dundee Township of Kane County, Illinois, United States. It serves the communities of Carpentersville, East Dundee, West Dundee, Sleepy Hollow, and portions of Elgin, Barrington Hills, Hoffman Estates, Gilberts and Algonquin.

The Lindner Fitness Center is a multi-purpose arena located in Elgin, Illinois, United States on the campus of Judson University. It is in the Eastern corner of the campus and faces the soccer field. The Fitness Center has two basketball courts which double as volleyball courts. A track runs around the edge of the gymnasium, raised above the floor. It is home to the Judson University Eagles and formerly the home of the Elgin Racers of the International Basketball League.

The Dundee Township Historic District is a set of sixty-five buildings in Dundee Township, Kane County Illinois. Buildings in the district are found in East Dundee, West Dundee, and Carpentersville. The district represents the development of the upper Fox River Valley from 1870 to the 1920s. Dundee Township became an important industrial area, especially following the construction of the Dundee Brick Company in West Dundee and the Illinois Iron and Bolt Company in Carpentersville. Also included in the district are a variety of Queen Anne, Italianate, and Greek Revival style houses and Gothic Revival churches. The majority of the historic district lies within the boundaries of West Dundee. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

Carpentersville Middle School is a middle school in Carpentersville, Illinois, United States, a suburb of Chicago, in northern Kane County. It is one of four Middle Schools in Community Unit School District 300. It was constructed in 1954 and is connected on one side to Oak Ridge Alternative School.

Judson College, in Mount Palatine, Illinois, United States, was founded as Mount Palatine Academy in 1846, under the auspices of the Baptist denomination. It was chartered by the state of Illinois as a university in the winter of 1850–51, then led by its first president in 1853, and sold under fiscal duress by the Sheriff in 1860. When the Illinois Central Railroad was built, stopping in Tonica, Illinois, six miles away from Mount Palatine, rapid decline in enrollment ensued at Judson. This institution subsequently became unprofitable and was sold in 1860 to the Catholic community in the vicinity. The sale was conditional on the sole building and property be permanently maintained as a school. Failure to do so would cause the property to revert to the original owners.Judson College has never been connected to the present-day institution founded under the same name, now called Judson University, an evangelical Christian liberal arts university located in Elgin, Illinois, founded in 1963.

The Spring–Douglas Historic District is a set of 496 buildings in Elgin, Illinois. Of those, 455 buildings contribute to the district's historical value. It is a residential district following Spring Street and Douglas Avenue from Kimball Street in the south to River Bluff Road to the north. The lands that now comprise the district were originally settled by Phineas J. Kimball and Vincent Lovell in the 1830s. Kimball's property eventually became the southern part of the district, which mostly housed working-class citizens. Lovell's subdivisions became housing for wealthier managers and doctors. The lower district is noted for its vernacular architecture, mostly gablefront houses, while the upper district represents a wide array of late 19th and early 20th century styles, mostly Queen Anne.

Judson University is a private Baptist university in Elgin, Illinois. It is affiliated with the American Baptist Churches USA. Judson was formed out of the liberal arts component of Northern Baptist Theological Seminary. When the seminary moved from Chicago to Lombard, Illinois, it was decided to make the college separate from the seminary. Originally known as Judson College, it was named after Adoniram Judson, the first American Baptist missionary to foreign shores. The university has campuses in Elgin and Rockford, Illinois, and a student body of approximately 1,300. Judson College became Judson University on August 28, 2007.

Carpenter Park is a park in Carpentersville, IL, a suburb of Chicago. It was established in the 1850s and spans 20 acres. Community festivals, pick-up sporting events, and ceremonies are often held in Carpenter Park due to its size.
