The Embassy of the Free Mind is a museum, library and platform for free thinking, inspired by the philosophy of the Bibliotheca Philosophica Hermetica collection. The museum focusses on the European culture of free thinking of the past 2.000 years, with Hermetic wisdom as the source of inspiration: insight into the connection between God, cosmos and man. This connection is reflected in the Hermetic, alchemical, astrological, magical, mystical, kabbalistic and Rosicrucian texts and images in the collection.

The House with the Heads (known as 'Huis met de Hoofden' in Dutch) is a large canal house on the Keizersgracht 123 in Amsterdam, named after the six ornaments shaped as heads, which are on the facade. The house is a rijksmonument and is listed on the Top 100 Dutch heritage sites. Nowadays the building is home to the Embassy of The Free Mind, a museum and platform for culture, music, art, science and spirituality.

Keizersgracht 143 is a canal house on the eastern side of the Keizersgracht between Leliegracht and Herenstraat in Amsterdam. It is a national monument of "very high value" (zeer hoge waarde) and "national distinction" (nationale kenmerkendheid) according to the Dutch Cultural Heritage agency.

The Leliegracht (Lily Canal) is a canal in Amsterdam between Herengracht (no. 148 and 169) and Prinsengracht (no. 124 and 241). The canal lies within the west of the Grachtengordel (canal belt) in the Jordaan neighborhood of the Amsterdam-Centrum district .

The Noordermarkt (English: Northern Market) is a square in the Jordaan neighborhood of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. The square is dominated by the 17th-Century Noorderkerk church, and is lined by cafés and restaurants. Markets are held on the square every Monday. On Saturdays, a popular organic farmer's market is held on the square. On Mondays a market (mainly for textiles) is also held in the adjacent Westerstraat street.

Restaurant Christophe is a defunct restaurant in Amsterdam, in the Netherlands. It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in 1989 and retained that rating until 2006.In 2013, Gault Millau awarded the restaurant 14 out of 20 points.The star was gained under the leadership of the head chef Christophe Royer The last head chef is Jean-Joel Bonsens.Jean-Joel Bonsens and his business partner-sommelier Ellen Mansfield took over the restaurant in 2006. They closed down the restaurant in June 2014.

The Noorderkerk ("northern church") is a 17th-century Protestant church in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. A number of other towns in the Netherlands also have a Noorderkerk church, including The Hague, Hoorn and Kampen.

Astoria is a Jugendstil office building at Keizersgracht 174-176 in Amsterdam, built in 1904-1905 as the headquarters of the Eerste Hollandsche Levensverzekerings Bank insurance company. The building, at the intersection of the Keizersgracht and Leliegracht canals, served as the international headquarters of Greenpeace for 15 years. In 2001, it gained rijksmonument (national monument) status.

The Coymanshuis is a canal house on the Keizersgracht 177, Amsterdam. The double wide house was designed and built in 1625 by Jacob van Campen for two brothers, traders/bankers; one had six the other ten children. Their company delt in silver, iron and tar. It is Van Campen's first design in Amsterdam and was an important stepping stone to gaining the commission for the Amsterdam City Hall, today the Royal Palace of Amsterdam. He designed it for Balthasar Coymans (1589 - 1657) and his brother Johannes Coymans (1601 - 1657). The house was praised by the writer-architects Cornelis Danckerts de Ry and Salomon de Bray in their book Architectura Moderna in 1631. They claimed that all visitors to the city should see this building if they appreciate architecture.The house and office was home to various members of the Coymans family until it was inhabited by Jan Pieter Theodoor Huydecoper in 1759. In 1780 it was inhabited by his nephew Jan Elias Huydecoper. In 1887 it was sold to the city of Amsterdam, serving for a long time as a secondary school and today it is an office building, sheltering Amnesty International, etc.

The Anne Frank tree (Dutch: Anne Frankboom or, incorrectly, Anne Frank boom) was a horse-chestnut tree (Aesculus hippocastanum) in the city center of Amsterdam that was featured in Anne Frank's The Diary of a Young Girl. Anne Frank described the tree from The Annexe, the building where she and her family were hiding from the Nazis during World War II. Over the years, the tree deteriorated significantly due to both a fungus and a moth infestation. The Borough Amsterdam Centrum declared that the tree had to be cut down on 20 November 2007 due to the risk that it could otherwise fall down. However, on 21 November 2007, a judge issued a temporary injunction stopping the removal. The Foundation and the neighbours developed an alternative plan to save the tree. The neighbours and supporters formed the Foundation Support Anne Frank Tree which carried out the suggested supporting construction and took over the maintenance of the tree. On 23 August 2010, the tree was blown down by high winds during a storm, breaking off approximately 1 metre (3 feet) above ground. It fell across a garden wall and damaged garden sheds but did not damage anything else. The tree was estimated to be between 150 and 170 years old.

The Blauwburgwal (literally: Dutch: blue city wall) is a canal in Amsterdam between the Singel (at Lijnbaanssteeg) and the Herengracht (at Herenstraat). It is the shortest canal in the city center and part of the west Grachtengordel (canal belt). Halfway along the northeast side, the Langestraat meets the Blauwburgwal. The canal has two bridges, one beside Singel bridge 11 and the other beside Herengracht bridge 19.

Amsterdam Tulip Museum (2004) ATM is a privately owned museum in Amsterdam. The museum features exhibits about Tulips. The museum is in a canal house, along the Prinsengracht canal.
