Golra Sharif

The Shrine of Meher Ali Shah is a 20th-century Sufi shrine that serves as the tomb of the Peer Meher Ali Shah, an early 20th-century Sufi scholar of the Chisti order, who was also a leader of the anti-Ahmadiya movement. The shrine is located within the Islamabad Capital Territory, in the village of Golra Sharif. Nowadays, Golra Sharif is widely known for one of its custodians (Sajjada nashin) Pir Syed Naseer Uddin Naseer Gilani. The shrine's longest-serving Sajjada nashin was Peer Syed Shah Abdul Haq Gilani, the younger son of Babuji, who took care of the shrine for approximately 46 years (from 1974 to his death in July 2020). Presently, the shrine is managed by the heirs of both, Syed Ghulam Moinuddin Gilani and Syed Shah Abdul Haq Gilani.

The Embassy of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in Islamabad is the diplomatic mission of North Korea to Pakistan. As of 2018, Kim Thae-sop is the Ambassador to Pakistan. North Korea also maintains a Consulate-General in Karachi, Pakistan.

Golra Sharif Railway Museum, also known as Pakistan Railways Heritage Museum, is a railway museum located near Sector F-13 of Islamabad, Pakistan. It is located at the Golra Sharif railway station, a junction station in the Rawalpindi Division of Pakistan Railways, located at 1,994 feet above sea level, in the southeast of the Margalla Hills and east of the cradle of Gandhara civilization, the ancient city of Taxila.Established in 2003 and renovated in 2018, the railway museum consists of two galleries housing the relics and memorabilia associated with more than 150 years of rail heritage dating back to the days of the British Raj. The railway station, with its museum, is a major attraction for tourists and locals alike and is becoming a major attraction for railway enthusiasts.

Golra Sharif Junction Railway Station (Urdu and Punjabi: گولڑہ شریف جنکشن ریلوے اسٹیشن) is located on Golra road in Islamabad, Pakistan. It is part of Pakistan Railways. The Golra Sharif Railway Museum is located at this station. The station lies on the main line of the Pakistan Railways, which connects the rest of the country in the south and Peshawar in the north. More than 20 trains pass through this station every day. It is situated southwest of Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, at the altitude of 1994 feet. The building has Victorian architecture and comprises five hall-like rooms constructed in yellow stone masonry. The station originally linked Peshawar, Kohat, Havelian, and Multan. It now enjoys more importance due to the presence of its museum.

Fatima Jinnah Park (Urdu: فاطمہ جناح پارک), also known as Capital Park or F-9 Park, is a public recreational park that spans the whole of Sector F-9 of Islamabad, Pakistan. It is named after Mādar-e Millat Fatima Jinnah, the younger sister of the founder of Pakistan Muhammad Ali Jinnah. At 304 hectares (750 acres), it is just smaller than New York's Central Park. It was designed by Michael Japero, and was inaugurated in 1992. The park’s original master plan was prepared by the Japan International Cooperation Agency, and was revised in 2005 by Pakistani architect Nayyar Ali Dada.Fatima Jinnah Park's vast acreage is mostly covered by greenery, with a few man-made structures dotting the landscape. Most of the park area is effectively a wildlife sanctuary, except for a few areas of the park that are close to residential districts. The park is bounded by a steel fence with entrance doors placed at regular intervals, although only a few are routinely open and used. A further strip of land outside of the fence is lined with a footpath. A well laid network of footpaths lies inside the park, with neat grass and a few statues.

The National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST) (Urdu: قومی جامعہ برائے سائنس و ٹیکنالوجی, romanized: Qaumī Jāmi'ā barā'e Sāins va Ṭaiknālōjī) is a multi-campus public research university having its main campus in Islamabad, Pakistan. The university offers undergraduate and graduate degrees, including doctoral and professional degrees. Founded in 1991, it was initially formed for the need of commissioned officers by combining engineering colleges and schools. Later, it was converted into a public research university with the main campus setup in Islamabad to promote science and technology in Pakistan.Founded to provide quality technical education for rapid industrialization in Pakistan, NUST adopted an American university model and stressed laboratory instruction in applied science and engineering. It has since played a key role in the development of standardization in education of fields such as engineering, mathematics, and technology in Pakistan and is widely known for its innovation and academic strength, making it one of the most prestigious institutions of higher learning in Pakistan. The university is also home to an under-construction International Association of Science Parks (IASP) certified National Science and Technology Park. It was ranked #74 in Asian Universities by the QS World University Rankings.

The Air University (AU) (Urdu: جامعہ فضایہ) is a federally chartered public sector research university in Pakistan. Established in 2002, its main campus is located in the capital city of Islamabad, Pakistan. The university has two other functional campuses, Aerospace and Aviation Campus at Kamra and a campus at Multan. The university offers undergraduate and post-graduate degrees in artificial intelligence, business management, computer science, cyber security, engineering, medicine, and humanities. It is ranked among the country's top ten universities in the Engineering and Technology category by the Higher Education Commission.Air University is recognized by Higher Education Commission (Pakistan) and accredited by the Pakistan Engineering Council and Pakistan Medical Commission. It is a member of Association of Commonwealth Universities of the United Kingdom and International Association of Universities

Margalla Hills National Park (Urdu: مارگلہ پہاڑیاں قومی پارک) is a national park in Pakistan located in Islamabad Capital Territory, near its northern boundary with Haripur District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The park includes the Margalla Hills, which form the foothills of the Himalayas, along with Shakarparian Park and Rawal Lake. Established in 1980, it is the third-largest national park in Pakistan with an area of 17,386 hectares (42,960 acres). Tilla Charouni, with a height of 1604 m, is tallest peak in the park. The Park is a major tourist destination, with Daman-e-Koh and Pir Sohawa serving as popular hill stations, while the Monal Restaurant, Shakarparian Cultural Complex, and Lake View Park are popular picnic spots. The park is rich in biodiversity, especially rich in Sino-Himalayan fauna, most notably gray goral, barking deer and the leopard. Combined, MHNP is home to around 600 plant species, 402 bird varieties, 38 mammals, and 27 species of reptiles. PTDC is currently constructing a chairlift project in the park.

The International Islamic University, Islamabad, or IIUI, (Arabic: الجامعة الإسلامية العالمية إسلام آباد, Urdu: بین الاقوامی اسلامی یونیورسٹی اسلام آباد) is a public research university located in Islamabad, Pakistan. It was established in 1980 and restructured in 1985, and remains a valuable source for Higher Education in Pakistan. The university is regularly listed among the most recognized universities and prestigious degree awarding institutions of Pakistan by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. The university ranks joint second in the 2022 top university rankings of Times Higher Education World University Rankings in Pakistan. It also constantly ranks among the best universities in the country for the general category by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.
