Caversham, Western Australia

Lilac Hill is a cricket ground in Western Australia in the Perth suburb of Caversham, where the Swan River flows around its southern and eastern sides. The ends of the ground are known as the river end and the pavilion end. In 1990 the West Australian Cricket Association (WACA) hosted a festival match at the ground, with a Cricket Australia's Chairman's XI playing the touring English XI. Since then, the WACA has continued to host an annual match at Lilac Hill against the visiting international cricket team and a Chairman's XI. The inaugural 1990 match set an attendance record of 12,000 and subsequent years have attracted good crowds also. Continuation of the match in Perth has been under pressure in recent years due to the full schedule of touring teams. In 2006, the format of the match was changed slightly to an "Invitational XI" v the Chairman's XI. In 2010 it was announced that the season opening match would no longer be held, due to increased constraints of international cricket scheduling.

Sandalford Wines is a privately owned Australian winery business based at Caversham, in the Swan Valley, the focal point of the Swan District wine region of Western Australia. Sandalford owns and operates wineries and vineyards both in Caversham and at Wilyabrup, in Western Australia's Margaret River wine region. The company traces its origins back to 1840, when John Septimus Roe, the first Surveyor-General of the Swan River Colony, was granted 1,250 acres (510 ha) on the banks of the Swan River by Queen Victoria, in recognition of his services to the colony.In the same year, Captain Roe planted Western Australia's first vines at the property, which he named Sandalford after an estate owned by his family on the site of a priory built in 1066. However, winemaking only became a commercial venture at Sandalford after World War II; until then it had been a hobby and a sideline.Sandalford now also makes the wines marketed under the brand name "Element".

Governor Stirling Senior High School (abbreviated as GSSHS) is a public co-educational partially selective high day school, located in Woodbridge, a north-eastern suburb of Perth, Western Australia. The school provides both a vocational and tertiary entrance education for students from Year 7 to Year 12.Opened in 1959, the school replaced the former Midland Junction High School (MJHS) founded in 1901, at a new site in West Midland.

The Guildford Grammar School Chapel usually known as the Chapel of St. Mary and St. George is a Heritage-listed building situated on Terrace Road, East Guildford and is used and owned by Guildford Grammar School.

Guildford Grammar School, informally known as Guildford Grammar, Guildford or GGS, is an independent Anglican coeducational primary and secondary day and boarding school, located in Guildford, a suburb of Perth, Western Australia. Initially established as a single-sex school for boys, in 2019, the School became co-educational from Kindergarten to Year 6, and in Years 7, 8 and 11 in the Senior School; in Years 9-10 and 12, the School catered for boys only. Since 2019, the School has been fully co-educational. Boarding facilities for Senior School girls were introduced from 2020.The school is a member of the Public Schools Association and the Independent Primary School Heads of Australia. The Anglican grammar school traces its origins back to 1896 when it was established by Charles Harper. In 1900, the school moved from the Harper family home to its current site near the banks of the Swan River, approximately 15 km (9.3 mi) from the centre of the City of Perth on 80 hectares (198 acres) of property. The East Guildford campus consists of a senior school for Year 7 to 12, a preparatory school for kindergarten to Year 6, sporting grounds and boarding facilities for 150 students.

East Guildford railway station is a Transperth railway station 14 km from Perth railway station, in Western Australia, on the Midland Line.

Viveash is an eastern suburb of Perth, Western Australia, in the City of Swan. It was named after Samuel Waterman Viveash, the owner of the land in this area in the 1840s. He came to the Swan River Colony on Britomart, which sailed from Spithead on 3 July 1838 and arrived at Fremantle on 5 December 1838, and took up land in the Avon Land District. A copy of Viveash's diaries for the period 1838 to 1851 can be accessed at the University of Western Australia Library. The suburban area of Viveash was developed by Midland Brick, which carried out subdivision in 1967, and requested in 1968 that the area be named after Viveash.

Dayton is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located in the City of Swan. It was gazetted in May 2011, and was named after Walter Warner Day, a pioneer of both the cattle and wine-growing industries in the City of Swan. The suburb is part of the City of Swan's Urban Growth Corridor and is bounded by Lord Street, Harrow Street, Malvern Street, Reid Highway and the Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline. The suburb is located in the Swan Valley Ward of the City of Swan.

Woodbridge is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Swan local government area. Formerly part of Midland and previously informally named West Midland, its name is from the original farm established in 1830. On 4 October 2004, Transperth renamed the West Midland railway station to Woodbridge station. The station is part of the Midland railway line which serves the eastern suburbs as a rapid transit railway. Woodbridge House, a National Trust property on the edge of the Swan River, is now a museum that is open to the public. Governor Stirling Senior High School is within the locality.

Stirling Square is a public park in Guildford, Western Australia. It was established early in the development of Guildford and has as part of its western side, the historic St Matthew's Church, Guildford and at its south eastern corner, the Talbot Hobbs' Memorial Gates.It has been assessed as a historic site, and has been evaluated for a range of conservation measures.

St Matthew's Church is a heritage-listed Anglican church in Stirling Square, Guildford, Western Australia. The church is part of the Anglican Diocese of Perth.Saint Matthew's was the first church to be built in the Swan parish. It was a small octagonal mud-brick church, hastily built on land donated by Governor James Stirling on his Woodbridge estate, next to where Guildford Grammar School now stands.

Bandyup Women's Prison is located in the northeastern rural Perth suburb of West Swan, Western Australia. Prior to its construction, the female prisoners were at Fremantle Prison, which was overcrowded and offered women limited opportunities. Bandyup Women's Prison holds sentenced and remand prisoners of all security classifications. It is run as a maximum security prison though only 10% of the women are categorised as maximum security. Bandyup Women’s Prison is one of two prisons in the Perth Metropolitan area for women on remand or that have been sentenced. Melaleuca Women’s Prison was built in 2016, as a standalone facility, built on what was previously Units 11 and 12 of Hakea Prison in Canning Vale, Western Australia. The prison is inspected every three years by the state Office for the Inspector of Custodial Services.
