Kilternan (Irish: Cill Tiarnáin, meaning 'Church of Tiarnán'), also known as Kiltiernan, is a village in Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown, in the foothills of the Wicklow Mountains south of Dublin, Ireland, near the border with County Wicklow.

Two Rock (Irish: Binn Dá Charraig; archaic: Black Mountain; Sliab Lecga (meaning Mountain of Flagstones)) is a mountain in Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown, Ireland. It is 536 metres (1,759 feet) high and is the 382nd highest mountain in Ireland. It is the highest point of the group of hills in the Dublin Mountains which comprises Two Rock, Three Rock, Kilmashogue and Tibradden Mountains. The mountain takes its name from the two granite tors that lie to the south-east of the summit. From the summit, which is called Fairy Castle, there are views of much of the Dublin area from Tallaght to Howth to the north while Bray Head, Killiney Hill, the Great Sugar Loaf and the Wicklow Mountains are visible to the south. The summit area is mostly shallow bog while ferns and gorse cover the lower slopes. The mountain is also an important habitat for red grouse.A number of prehistoric monuments can be found on the mountain including a passage tomb on the summit and a wedge tomb on the slopes near Ballyedmonduff.

Stepaside (Irish: An Chéim) is a village on the outskirts of Dublin located on its southside, located in Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown, Ireland. The area is situated 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) south of Dundrum.

Knocksink Wood (Irish: Coill Chnoc Sinche, meaning 'Sinneach's Hill Wood') is a national nature reserve located in the valley of the Glencullen River in County Wicklow, Ireland, near the village of Enniskerry. With an area of approximately 129 acres (0.52 km2), it is managed by the Irish National Parks & Wildlife Service.

Prince William's Seat at 555 metres (1,821 ft), is the 296th–highest peak in Ireland on the Arderin scale, however, it does not have the elevation to quality as a Vandeleur-Lynam. Prince William's Seat is on the border of the Wicklow Mountains and Dublin Mountains in Ireland, and lies on the northern side of the Glencree valley, positioned at its entrance. Prince William's Seat is separated by a small col from neighbouring Knocknagun, which is also 555 metres (1,821 ft) in height. Prince William's Seat and Knocknagun are popular peaks with hill-walkers.

Three Rock Mountain (Irish: Binn Trí Charraig; archaic: Sliabh Ruadh) is a mountain in Co Dublin, Ireland. It is 444 metres (1,457 feet) high and forms part of the group of hills in the Dublin Mountains which comprises Two Rock, Three Rock, Kilmashogue and Tibradden Mountains. The mountain takes its name from the three groups of granite rocks at the summit. It was once believed that these features were man-made: for instance, Gabriel Beranger wrote of them in 1780, "I take them to be altars upon which sacrifices were offered […] the regularity which is observed in piling them convinces me they are the work of man, as they could not grow in that position". In fact, the three outcrops are tors: natural geological features produced by the gradual process of weathering. Today, the summit is dominated by the many radio masts and towers that use the site to broadcast their signals across the Dublin area below. The forestry plantations on the slopes consist mainly of Sitka spruce, Japanese larch, Scots pine, Monterey pine and lodgepole pine.

98FM is a local radio station in Dublin, Ireland, operated by Bauer Media Audio Ireland, under a sound broadcasting contract from the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland. The station broadcasts on the 98.1 MHz FM frequency. 98FM's broadcast antenna is located on Three Rock Mountain, County Dublin at 5 kW, and can be heard in Dublin and neighbouring counties. 98FM also has a relay in north County Dublin, broadcasting on 97.4 MHz. Since 2022 the station has been marketed as "Dublin's Good Times"

The Ski Club of Ireland owns and runs the largest artificial ski slope in Ireland. It is located in County Wicklow close to the village of Kilternan (County Dublin).

On Saturday, 10 October 2015, a blaze swept through a halting site at Carrickmines in County Dublin, Ireland. It proved fatal. This was the country's deadliest such disaster since the Stardust fire. The fire led to a debate about the squalid conditions in which many members of the Irish travelling community live.Taoiseach Enda Kenny visited the scene and announced that flags would be flown at half-mast. Books of condolence were opened throughout the country. President Michael D. Higgins and his wife Sabina Higgins passed people of all ages queuing outside the Mansion House to sign a book there. Those who died were also honoured at vigils throughout the country. The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul set up an emergency fund for the families of those affected.Crowds travelled from across Ireland and from neighbouring Britain to attend the funerals of the first five victims of the fire at the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer in Bray on 20 October 2015. A letter from Pope Francis was read towards the close and dignitaries present included the Tánaiste, Joan Burton, and representatives of Taoiseach Kenny and President Higgins. Relatives of those who died later met Pope Francis in the Vatican.
