Le Brévent is a mountain of Haute-Savoie, France. It lies in the Aiguilles Rouges range of the French Prealps and has an altitude of 2525 metres (8,284 Feet) above sea level. This cliff is a popular spot for wingsuit flying down into the valley.

Chamonix

Chamonix-Mont-Blanc (Arpitan: Chamôni), more commonly known as Chamonix, is a commune in the Haute-Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of southeastern France. It was the site of the first Winter Olympics in 1924. In 2019, it had a population of 8,640. Situated to the north of Mont Blanc, between the peaks of the Aiguilles Rouges and the notable Aiguille du Midi, Chamonix is one of the oldest ski resorts in France. The Chamonix commune is popular with skiers and mountain enthusiasts. Via the cable car lift to the Aiguille du Midi it is possible to access the off-piste (backcountry) ski run of the Vallée Blanche.

FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 1962

The FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 1962 were held in France from 10 to 18 February at Chamonix in Haute-Savoie.Chamonix previously hosted the alpine world championships in 1937, and also the first Winter Olympics in 1924, but without alpine skiing, which debuted in 1936.
