Morda Road

Plas Wilmot (Welsh: Wilmot Hall) is a substantial suburban villa near Oswestry in the United Kingdom. The house was originally constructed c.1829 of red brick with slate roof, with additions in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It was the birthplace of First World War poet Wilfred Owen on 18 March 1893. It became a Grade II listed building in 2012, following a campaign by Oswestry Civic Society and other local groups. The grounds were put on sale in 2013 after the local authority granted planning permission for houses to be built on the land.

The Marches School is a coeducational secondary school with sixth form in Oswestry, north-west Shropshire, England. It was the first academy to be created in Shropshire. It has an enrolment of around 1,200 pupils, in year groups 7-11, key stages 3 and 4, ages 11 to 16.

Oswestry School is an ancient public school (English independent boarding and day school), located in Oswestry, Shropshire, England. It was founded in 1407 as a 'free' school, being independent of the church. This gives it the distinction of being the second-oldest 'free' school in the country, between Winchester College (founded 1382) and Eton College (1440). Due to the fact that these Renaissance schools focused heavily on subjects such as Latin grammar, Oswestry School has long been known locally as 'The Grammar School' even during the period when Oswestry had modern state grammar schools. Oswestry School should also not be confused with other secondary schools in Oswestry, such as the Marches School. One of the school's earliest sites, dating from the 15th century, can still be seen adjacent to St Oswald's Parish Church. It is currently used as the town's visitor and information centre, incorporating a coffee shop and exhibitions.The present-day senior school is located on Upper Brook Street and the junior school is based at Bellan House on Church Street. Bellan House Preparatory School was a completely separate institution until its amalgamation in the 1970s.

Weston Wharf is a railway station on the Cambrian Heritage Railways' line in Shropshire on the former Oswestry and Newtown Railway. It is located just off Weston Road near the Shropshire village of Morda and serves the Weston Pools area of Oswestry, 1+3⁄4 miles (2.8 km) to the north.

Oswestry Rural is a geographically large civil parish located in Shropshire, England. It is situated south of Oswestry itself, and extends from the border with Wales in the west. It covers an area of 62 square kilometres (24 sq mi) and had a population of 4,504 in the 2011 censusThe parish includes the villages of Rhydycroesau, Trefonen, Morda, Maesbury, and various other hamlets including Treflach, Whitehaven, Tyn-y-coed, Croesau Bach, Ball and Aston Square.

North Shropshire College is a further education college in Shropshire, England and is part of Herefordshire, Ludlow and North Shropshire College. It has campuses at Walford and Oswestry.

The Morda Tramway refers to two industrial railways south of Oswestry, on the border between England and Wales. They connected the coal pits around Morda to transport networks, the first to the Montgomery Canal and the second to the Cambrian Railways at Whitehaven.

Tinkers Green Halt railway station was a station in Oswestry, Shropshire, England. The station was opened on 16 October 1939 and closed on 18 January 1965.

Park Hall Halt railway station was a station near Oswestry, Shropshire, England. The station was opened on 5 July 1926 to serve the adjoining Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital near Gobowen, and closed on 7 November 1966.In March 2021 North Shropshire MP Owen Paterson visited the site of the former Park Hall Halt, following initial discussions with Cambrian Heritage Railways regarding reopening the Oswestry to Gobowen line. He stated that the restoration of the short ½-mile section between Gobowen and Park Halt would be “unbelievably easy” to achieve, given that "You can still see the platform, the bridge looks in good order and all the track is even there."

St Martins Football Club is a football club based in the village of St Martin's, Shropshire, England. They are currently members of the Shropshire County League Premier Division and play at the St Martin's Playing Fields.

Football Club Oswestry Town was a football club based in Oswestry, Shropshire, England. The club played at Park Hall and were affiliated to the Shropshire Football Association.

Park Hall Stadium is a football stadium to the north-east of Oswestry, Shropshire, England. It was opened by Shropshire County Council in 1993, originally as the home of Oswestry Town. In 2003, Oswestry Town merged with Total Network Solutions F.C. (TNS) to form current Cymru Premier team The New Saints. The newly merged club moved to Park Hall from Total Network Solutions' Recreation Ground. Following a short period of abandonment, the site was purchased from the council by Mike Harris with a view to redevelopment and The New Saints moving back to the ground. The New Saints started to use Park Hall as their home ground again in 2007, and the ground was further improved so that it was able to host matches in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League. It has since been used to host youth international fixtures for both England and Wales while also hosting Non-League football for community teams in Oswestry. Park Hall is also the name of the surrounding area, in Whittington civil parish, which has housing and some light industries.
