The W. L. Lyons Brown Theatre, originally called the Brown Theatre, is a restored theatre dating back to 1925 that seats approximately 1,400 patrons in Louisville, Kentucky. It is ones of three venues owned by Kentucky Performing Arts.

The Brown Hotel is a historic 16-story hotel in downtown Louisville, Kentucky, U.S., located on the corner of Fourth and Broadway. It contains 294 rooms and over 24,000 ft² of meeting space. It also contains special amenities, such as a fitness center and three restaurants. It is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The Brown Hotel is a member of Historic Hotels of America, the official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

The Heyburn Building is a 17-floor, 250-foot (76-m) building in downtown Louisville, Kentucky, United States. In the early 20th century, it was an integral part of the "magic corner" of Fourth Street and Broadway, which rivaled Main Street as Louisville's business district. It occupies the lot that was the location of the Avery mansion, home of Louisville suffragist, Susan Look Avery. This block of West Broadway had been a posh residential corridor prior to the commercial transition of which the Heyburn Building composed a part. The Classical Revival-style Heyburn Building was completed in 1928. It was built by and named for William R. Heyburn, president of Belknap Hardware and Manufacturing Company. It was designed by the Graham, Anderson, Probst & White firm of Chicago. It was the tallest building in Kentucky until a vertical addition of the defunct Commonwealth Building was completed in 1955. The Heyburn Building has since gone through several owners and renovations, the largest of which occurred in 1983 at a cost of $6 million. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. On January 21, 2010, a man committed suicide by jumping to his death from the building's top floor.

The Kentucky Theater was a theater and performing arts center at 651 S. 4th St., located in the theater district of downtown Louisville, Kentucky in the United States of America. Built in 1921, the building served for sixty years as a movie house. The movie house closed in 1986, and was almost scheduled for demolition until a local entrepreneur bought it at auction and turned it over to two arts advocates who created a non-profit arts organization, called the Kentucky Theater Project, Inc. The newly renovated Kentucky Theater opened its doors in 2000 and is now a vibrant community arts center and art film house. In 2008, the Kentucky Theater was renovated into the Kentucky Theater Shops. It now includes a gourmet food shop, a wine and spirits shop, a bagel shop and a florist shop.

Warren Memorial Presbyterian Church was a Presbyterian congregation formerly located in what is now downtown Louisville, Kentucky.

Francis Parker School of Louisville, originally known as St. Francis School, is a private, coeducational, college-preparatory day school in downtown Louisville, Kentucky, USA. Founded in 1977, it is an outgrowth of St. Francis School, in Goshen, a K-8 school founded on the developmental education model a decade earlier. Both schools are non-sectarian, but maintain an association with the Episcopal Diocese of Louisville, and a historical link to St. Francis in the Fields Episcopal Church in Louisville. The church and the schools are named after St. Francis of Assisi.

The Commonwealth Building was a 21-story, 255-foot (78 m) building in Downtown Louisville, Kentucky located on the northwestern corner of Fourth Street and Broadway. The Commonwealth Building was built by James Graham Brown across Fourth Street from the Brown Hotel in 1928 and originally named after his late brother, Martin Brown. In 1955, a 17-story vertical addition was constructed which took the title of Louisville's tallest building away from the Heyburn Building, diagonally across Fourth and Broadway. The building featured a light beacon on its roof for a short time until being turned off due to complaints by residents in Floyds Knobs, Indiana. The owner of the building, Commonwealth Life Insurance Company, created Capital Holding Corporation in 1969 and, as the company grew, decided to build a new headquarters building on the southwest corner of Fourth and Market named Capital Holding Center to reflect the company's business interests outside of life insurance. Once Commonwealth Life Insurance Company and Capital Holding relocated to their new headquarters, the Commonwealth Building was imploded on January 16, 1994. A low rise office building and open space now occupy the building's former site.

The Palace Theatre (previously known as the Loew's Theatre, Loew's United Artist Theatre and the United Artists Theatre, it is locally known as the Louisville Palace) is a music venue in downtown Louisville, Kentucky, located in the city's theater district, on the east side of Fourth Street, between Broadway and Chestnut Street. It has a seating capacity of 2,800 people and is owned by Live Nation. The historic landmark opened on September 1, 1928, and was designed by architect John Eberson. It was originally known as the Loew's and United Artists State theatre. The Palace exhibits a Spanish Baroque motif with arcades, balconies and turrets. Cobalt blue, bursts of red and gold indirectly light all of the niches, coves and entrances. Above is a curved, vaulted ceiling with 139 sculptures of the faces of historical figures. The theater room inside The Palace is heavily ornamented and displays an imitation nighttime sky on the ceiling. The theater is two stories with a floor and a balcony. Both floors contain bars that run the width of the building behind the theater, separated by a grand lobby of intricate art and architecture. Although the exterior had fallen behind the interior, the Palace was re-dedicated in 1994 and is now a premiere venue.Its uncommon appearance has made it a popular venue for musicians to record live performances (including Third Day & Alison Krauss). On June 2, 1983, British group A Flock Of Seagulls performed at the Palace and the show was recorded for broadcast by NBC's The Source. The theatre features an array of popular movies, old and new, as well as concerts by popular artists. Kentucky musicians that have performed at the Palace include: Billy Ray Cyrus in 1994, the Backstreet Boys in 1998 (Brian and Kevin are from Lexington), My Morning Jacket (from Louisville) in 2005, Chris Stapleton in 2015, Sturgill Simpson in 2016, and Jack Harlow in 2021. Southern Indiana's John Mellencamp played there in 2011. Nashville's Kings of Leon played in 2009, and Paramore in 2015. Nashville bluegrass group Old Crow Medicine Show played there in 2008. Robert Plant performed with bluegrass singer Alison Krauss for 2 nights in 2008. Virginia's Dave Matthews played there in 1999. Frank Sinatra performed there in 1941, Ray Charles in 1959, and James Taylor in 1982.

Kentucky Public Radio (KPR) is a consortium of four public radio stations: WFPL (Louisville), WKMS-FM (Murray), WKYU-FM (Bowling Green) and WEKU (Richmond/Lexington). The primary mission of Kentucky Public Radio is to facilitate content sharing among stations and the hiring and management of a Capitol reporter, an enterprise statehouse reporter and a data reporter. KPR is managed by board of directors composed of the individual station managers. In January 2015. Ryland Barton was named the State Capital Bureau Chief in Frankfort, Kentucky.

The Louisville Main Library is the main branch of the Louisville Free Public Library, which is a public library system serving the city of Louisville, Kentucky.

The Ronald–Brennan House, often referred to as just the Brennan House, is a historic Italianate townhouse located in Downtown Louisville, Kentucky. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on August 11, 1975. The house was voted one of the top ten favorite buildings in Louisville by local residents in a contest by The Courier-Journal.
