6 Convent Place, colloquially known in Gibraltar as "Number 6", is the headquarters of His Majesty's Government of Gibraltar and the office of the Chief Minister. It is located opposite The Convent, the Governor of Gibraltar's official residence. Gibraltar's Economic Planning and Statistics Office is located in the building.

King's Chapel is a small chapel in the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar. It is located at the southern end of Main Street and adjoins the Governor of Gibraltar's residence, The Convent. What nowadays is King's Chapel was the first purpose-built church to be constructed in Gibraltar. Originally part of a Franciscan friary, the chapel was built in the 1530s but was given to the Church of England by the British after the capture of Gibraltar in 1704. It was badly damaged in the late 18th century during the Great Siege of Gibraltar and in the explosion of an ammunition ship in Gibraltar harbour in 1951, but was restored on both occasions. From 1844 to 1990 it served as the principal church of the British Army in Gibraltar; since then it has been used by all three services of the British Armed Forces.

The Convent has been the official residence of the governor of Gibraltar since 1728. It was originally a convent of Franciscan friars, hence its name, and was built in 1531, and heavily rebuilt during the 18th and 19th centuries. The dining room at the Convent has the most extensive display of heraldry in the Commonwealth of Nations.

St Andrew's Church was a congregation of the Church of Scotland in the British overseas territory of Gibraltar and was part of the Presbytery of Europe. The church was opened in 1854. Whilst originally built primarily to serve as a garrison church for Scottish soldiers based in Gibraltar,it served the wider Presbyterian and Reformed Christian community of all nationalities. The church was run by a committee of elders. Until 2008, the church shared its ministers with the Costa del Sol congregation in Spain. As of June 2009, and until the Church's closure in December 2022, the church's minister was Rev. Ewen Maclean. The church is located on Governor's Parade, a small square which they share with the Garrison Library, the O'Callaghan Eliott Hotel and the previous location of the Gibraltar Chronicle. In December 2022 the building is closed as a Church of Scotland place of worship. A farewell service, attended by Sir David Steel, Governor of Gibraltar, took place on 20th November 2022. Cathedral Square is a square within the city centre of the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar. It is the location of the Church of England Cathedral of the Holy Trinity which stands to the eastern end of the square. Other features at the square include Duke of Kent House home to the Gibraltar Tourist Board, the Bristol Hotel a children's play park and Sir Herbert Miles Promenade, which is a boulevard lined with nine cannon overlooking the harbour.The open space here was once a street called Columbine Street which was named after lieutenant-general Francis Columbine who was a deputy governor. The Moorish looking Cathedral dates from 1839 when the Church of the Holy Trinity was redefined. It had been designed by a military engineer for John Pitt, 2nd Earl of Chatham as a church in 1825.

The Gibraltar National Archives is a department of the Government of Gibraltar under the responsibility of the Ministry of the Deputy Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The Gibraltar Archives were established in 1969 following Gibraltar's first constitution. The institution is responsible not only for the collection and preservation of public records, but for providing access to the records that may be released to the public and to academic researchers in those cases where records can be released. Besides public records, historical records from the 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th and 21st centuries are also deposited in the Gibraltar National Archives. Such records were donated for bodies and institutions that took part in any way in the administration of Gibraltar. Private individuals, groups and associations have also donated records to the Gibraltar National Archives. An example is the Gibraltar branch of the Transport and General Workers' Union (TGWU, now Unite the Union), who did it in 2008.

The Gibraltar Methodist Church is part of the South East District of the Methodist Church of Great Britain. It has a long history associated with the development of British Gibraltar, and it has greatly strengthened its ties with the local population since the scaling down of Britain-based forces in recent years. In 2006 it appointed Fidel Patron - the first Gibraltarian Superintendent Minister.

The Cathedral of the Holy Trinity is the cathedral for the Church of England Archdeaconry of Gibraltar in the Diocese of Europe. Located in Cathedral Square, it is sometimes referred to simply as Gibraltar Cathedral, although it should not be confused with the Cathedral of St. Mary the Crowned, which is Gibraltar's Roman Catholic cathedral. The cathedral is particularly notable for its Moorish revival architecture, particularly in its use of horseshoe arches. This is an architectural style inspired by Moorish architecture, appropriate given the period of Moorish control in Gibraltar's history.

The Gibraltar Chronicle is a national newspaper published in Gibraltar since 1801. It became a daily in 1821. It is Gibraltar's oldest established daily newspaper and the world's second oldest English language newspaper to have been in print continuously. Its editorial offices are at Watergate House, and the print works are in the New Harbours industrial estate.

The Garrison Library was founded in Gibraltar in 1793 by Captain (later Colonel) John Drinkwater Bethune.

AquaGib is the national utility company responsible for water supply and distribution in the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar. It is responsible for the maintenance and operation of the water supply on the Rock. The company is a joint venture between the Government of Gibraltar and Northumbrian Water.
