Mojstrana (pronounced [ˈmoːi̯stɾana]; German: Meistern) is a village in the Municipality of Kranjska Gora in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia.

The Triglav Bistrica (Slovene: Triglavska Bistrica, also simply known as the Bistrica) is a stream that flows through the glacial Vrata Valley southwest of Mojstrana, Slovenia. Its source is below the north face of Mount Triglav in the blind Bukovlje Valley, and it flows past the Aljaž Lodge. In addition to several intermittent tributaries with a flashy character, it also has three constant tributaries, all of them flowing from valleys below the east slope of Mount Škrlatica: Dry Creek (Suhi potok), Red Creek (Rdeči potok), and Peričnik Creek. The Triglav Bistrica empties into the Sava Dolinka at Mojstrana. It falls 400 meters (1,300 ft) during its approximately 10-kilometer (6.2 mi) course.

Dovje (pronounced [ˈdoːu̯jɛ]; German: Lengenfeld) is a village in the Municipality of Kranjska Gora in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia, located on the southern slopes of the Karawanks at an elevation of 703 m. It has a rich history and rural tradition and is known as one of the sunniest villages in Slovenia. Its location is ideal for farming, and this has been the main occupation of its inhabitants for many centuries.

Zgornja Radovna (pronounced [ˈzɡoːɾnja ˈɾaːdɔu̯na]) is a dispersed settlement in the Municipality of Kranjska Gora, northwestern Slovenia, belonging to the traditional region of Upper Carniola. The village lies at the juncture of the Kot Valley and the northern part of the Krma Valley (i.e., the Lower Krma Valley, Slovene: Spodnja Krma). The Radovna River, a tributary of the Sava Dolinka, emerges under the Jutrova Skala Slope (Jutrova skala) in the northeastern part of the settlement.

The Upper Sava Valley (Slovene: Zgornjesavska dolina) is an alpine valley in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia. The Sava Dolinka River flows along it. It begins in Rateče at an elevation of 870 m and ends at Moste at 560 m. It is the geographical border between the Julian Alps and the Karawanks. It was created on a tectonic fault that runs down the middle of the valley. Its geomorphological forms are a result of the actions of the river and glaciers. A number of smaller valleys lead into it from both sides. The largest settlements in the valley are Kranjska Gora and Jesenice. Some of the traditional and modern settlements are located on active alluvial fans that may cause a threat of the modelled torrents and debris flows.

Belca (pronounced [ˈbeːltsa]) is a settlement in the Municipality of Kranjska Gora in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia.

The Radovna Valley (Slovene: Radovna, dolina Radovne) is an alpine valley in the Julian Alps in northwestern Slovenia, traditionally part of Upper Carniola. It is included in Triglav National Park in its entirety.

The Mittagskogel (German) or Kepa (Slovenian) has an elevation of 2,145 metres (7,037 ft) aA, and is thus the third highest mountain in the Karawanks range, after Hochstuhl/Stol and the Vertratscha/Vrtača. It is located on the border between Slovenia and Austria.

Krma is an alpine valley in the Julian Alps in the Upper Carniola region of northwestern Slovenia. The entire valley lies in Triglav National Park.

Radovna (pronounced [ˈɾaːdɔu̯na]) is a settlement in the Radovna Valley in the Municipality of Gorje in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia.

The Tarvisio–Ljubljana Railway (Slovene: Železniška proga Ljubljana - Jesenice) is a partially closed to traffic international railway line between Italy and Slovenia. It was opened in 1870 as part of the Austro-Hungarian Rudolfsbahn railway network. Today, only the Slovenian section between Jesenice and Ljubljana is still open to traffic, as part of the main line between Ljubljana and Villach in Austria; the cross-border section between Jesenice and Tarvisio has been closed to traffic since 1967 (Italian part) and 1969 (Slovenian part).

Lake Kreda is a man-made lake in the Radovna Valley in northwestern Slovenia. The lake got its name from the chalk (Slovene: kreda) that was mined in the area until 1985. The digging also created a basin, which gradually filled with water and the lake appeared. The mining ceased because it was unprofitable and due to conservation concerns (the area is within Triglav National Park), but the lake remained and is now occasionally used as a recreation site. Today, the lake and its surrounding wetlands are an important habitat for amphibians, such as the common frog and the common toad in the Radovna Valley.
