Museum of Polish History

The Warsaw Uprising Museum (named Warsaw Rising Museum, Polish: Muzeum Powstania Warszawskiego), in the Wola district of Warsaw, Poland, is dedicated to the Warsaw Uprising of 1944. The institution of the museum was established in 1983, but no construction work took place for many years. It opened on July 31, 2004, marking the 60th anniversary of the uprising. The museum sponsors research into the history of the uprising, and the history and possessions of the Polish Underground State. It collects and maintains hundreds of artifacts — ranging from weapons used by the insurgents to love letters — to present a full picture of the people involved. The museum's stated goals include the creation of an archive of historical information on the uprising and the recording of the stories and memories of living participants. Its director is Jan Ołdakowski, with historian Dariusz Gawin from the Polish Academy of Sciences as his deputy.The museum is a member organisation of the Platform of European Memory and Conscience.

The Museum of Diving (Muzeum Nurkowania), located at 88 Grzybowska Street in Warsaw, was established in 2006 by the Warsaw Diving Club (Warszawski Klub Płetwonurków). The museum was opened on 27 February 2006 marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Warsaw Diving Club. It is the only such institution in Poland and one of the few in Europe.It has a collection of around 800 objects associated with underwater diving and underwater archaeology. Its oldest exhibit is a diving helmet made in 1895. The museum holds monthly ‘Wednesday Movies’ nights, during which films about diving are shown.

Rondo Daszyńskiego is a station on the central part of Line M2 of the Warsaw Metro. The station fully opened for passenger use on 8 March 2015 as the western terminus of the inaugural stretch of Line M2 between Rondo Daszyńskiego and Dworzec Wileński. It was designed by Polish architect Andrzej M. Chołdzyński and constructed by Metroprojekt. Murals were created by Wojciech Fangor, artist of the Polish School of Posters. The station is located just west of Rondo Daszyńskiego (Daszyński Roundabout), named in honor of Ignacy Daszyński. Construction of the station was made difficult by adverse hydrological conditions.

The Bridge is a 40-storey skyscraper under construction in the Wola district of Warsaw, Poland. Designed by Amsterdam-based UNStudio, the 174 metres (571 ft) tower is due to be completed in 2025 as Poland's ninth tallest building.

The Warsaw Spire is a complex of Neomodern office buildings in Warsaw, Poland constructed by the Belgian real estate developer Ghelamco.

The Marcin Kasprzak Monument (Polish: Pomnik Marcina Kasprzaka) is a monument in Warsaw, Poland, at 18 and 20 Kasprzaka Street, within the district of Wola. It consists of a bronze bust of Marcin Kasprzak, a 19th- and 20th-century labour movement activist, placed on a granite pedestal. It was designed by Edmund Matuszek, and unveiled in 1975.

The Warsaw Trade Tower (WTT) is a skyscraper in Warsaw. Along with the Palace of Culture and Science, Warsaw Spire, Varso and Złota 44, it is one of the five buildings in Warsaw with a roof height greater than 180 metres (590 ft). The Warsaw Trade Tower is the fourth tallest building in Poland. The building is on Chłodna and Towarowa streets, two blocks from the Warsaw Uprising Museum. The Warsaw Trade Tower has a metal spire (mast antenna relay) attached to the building on steel rims. The spire starts from a height of 32 floors and rises 24 m (79 ft) above the roof. Construction took place from 1997 to 1999 by the Korean company Daewoo. In 2002, Daewoo sold the property to the American firm Apollo-Rida. At 208 metres (682 ft) in height (the main roof goes up to a height of 184 metres or 604 ft), the 43-storey skyscraper includes a two-storey shopping centre, offices, and three floors of underground parking for 300 cars. The building has one of Europe's fastest elevators, travelling at a speed of 7 metres per second (23 ft/s). The foundation of the Warsaw Trade Tower is 11 metres (36 ft) deep and is based on 156 piles.

Czyste is one of the neighborhoods of the Wola district of Warsaw, Poland. It is limited by Wolska and Towarowa streets from the north and east and by railway lines from the west and south. Originally Czyste was a village located right outside the Lubomirski Ramparts, that is the outer city defences of Warsaw, between Jerozolimskie Gate and Wola Gate. In 1827 it had 16 houses and 223 inhabitants and was a seat of a gmina. During the Battle of Warsaw of 1831 the village was the focal point of Polish defence of the city. By the end of 19th century rapid expansion of the city of Warsaw led to the village of Czyste virtually merging with the nearby villages of Wielka Wola, Koło and Ochota. The four combined villages had 512 houses and 8000 inhabitants.The new suburb was variously referred to by names of former villages. It was mostly industrial, with many manufactures and factories located there, in addition to over 90 windmills supplying the bakeries of Warsaw. In 1916 Czyste ceased to exist as a separate administrative entity and was attached to Warsaw along with Wola and Ochota. Currently the name is used by the Municipal Information System for a small neighborhood within the borough of Wola, while the remaining grounds of the former village are attached to other areas under different names.

The Stacja Muzeum is located at the former Warsaw Główna PKP railway terminus and is very close to the Warszawa Ochota railway station. The museum's exhibits are divided into permanent and temporary collections — the latter being displayed inside the museum's galleries. The permanent collection consists of historic rolling stock that is displayed on the tracks outside, including one of the few remaining armoured railway trains in Europe. The museum also contains a library which houses many books on the subject of Polish railways. During the interwar period the museum's headquarters were located at Nowy Zjazd Street. The museum was reestablished at the present site, as Railway Museum in Warsaw (Muzeum Kolejnictwa w Warszawie), in 1972. On 30 July 2009, PKP S.A. the Polish state railway company served notice to quit on the Museum authorities requiring them to vacate their current location by 31 August 2009. However, as of May 2015, the museum remained in place and open to the public, offering low-cost entry and is perfect for large groups such as stag does. The museum was disestablished on 31 March 2016 and on 1 April a new institution, Stacja Muzeum, opened, taking over the exhibits and other assets.There were plans to move Stacja Muzeum to a new, purpose-built object at the Odolany railway depot but the idea was eventually dropped. Another plan was to build new premises for some of the exhibits at the current site as part of the redevelopment but this idea also came to nothing and, as of August 2021, Stacja Muzeum is still open at the old site.

Warsaw Main Railway Station (Polish: Warszawa Główna) was the name of two different railway stations in Warsaw, Poland, both now defunct. A smaller terminus station with two platforms again named Warszawa Główna opened on March 14, 2021. The name was retained for historical reasons only, and the actual main station in Warsaw is Warszawa Centralna located about 1 km to the east.

The Jewish Hospital in Warsaw, The Jewish Hospital in Czyste - a Jewish medical facility operating from 1902 to 1943 in Warsaw. For many years considered to be one of the best and most modern hospitals in Poland. The whole complex consisted of 8 separate hospital pavilions with surgical, ophthalmic and gynecological wards, skin and venereal diseases, pulmonary, throat and ear diseases, infectious, internal and nervous diseases, mental diseases and a midwifery with a research laboratory. The hospital also included an administration building, a synagogue, a pre-burial house, kitchens, laundries, freezers, a boiler room, a coach house, stables, a disinfection chamber, a food warehouse, a convalescent home and other smaller buildings. In total, there were 17 buildings for different purposes.
