Ahmed Ben Bella Airport (Arabic: مطار أحمد بن بلة), formally Es-Sénia Airport (IATA: ORN, ICAO: DAOO) is an airport located 4.7 nm (8.7 km) south of Oran (near Es Sénia), in Algeria.

Its editorial production is piloted by the Forum for Social Studies (FSS), based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with the active support of the CRASC. In 2012, to commemorate Algeria's 50 years of independence, the CRASC organized the interdisciplinary colloquium “1962, A World ”, in collaboration with the overseas office of The American Institute for Maghrib Studies (AIMS) which is The Centre d'études maghrébines en Algérie (CEMA) located in Oran. Johns Hopkins University also participated through the Organization committee, including the contribution of the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences and the Centre national de la recherche scientifique.

Ahmed Zabana Stadium (Arabic: ملعب أحمد زبانة) is a multi-purpose stadium in Oran, Algeria. It is currently used mostly for football matches. It is the home ground of MC Oran. The stadium holds 40,000.

University Hospital Center Dr. Benaouda Benzerdjeb (Arabic: المركز الإستشفائي الجامعي د. بن عودة بن زرجب, French: Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Dr Benaouda Benzerdjeb), shortly known as CHU Oran is a large research hospital affiliated with the University of Oran in Oran, Algeria with a capacity of exceeding 1000 beds, established in 1877, located in front of the Medical faculty. A new modern hospital was developed in 2003, at a cost of €120 million. The hospital is a major teaching facility of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Oran. The original hospital was designed by noted Japanese architect Kenzō Tange, and is regarded as an example of his metabolic architecture concept. This public hospital is one of 14 hospitals designated Centre Hospitalo-Universitaire (CHU) in Algeria.

Operation Reservist was an Allied military operation during the Second World War. Part of Operation Torch (the Allied invasion of North Africa), it was an attempted landing of troops directly into the harbour at Oran in Algeria.
