Linwood Boulevard is a boulevard and major east–west street in Kansas City, Missouri, United States. Linwood begins at Broadway Boulevard in the Valentine and Old Hyde Park neighborhoods and travels 3.8 miles east through Midtown to Van Brunt Boulevard near Interstate 70 in the Kansas City East Side. For much of its length, it creates a high-density corridor with 31st Street, another major street running parallel one block north. It continues west of Broadway Boulevard as 33rd Street past Metropolitan Community College-Penn Valley. Linwood Boulevard is one of the few named east–west streets in the Kansas City grid south of the Missouri River.

The Kansas City Scottish Rite Temple is a monumental building in Kansas City, Missouri which was built during 1928-30. The architects were Keene & Simpson of Kansas City.The building has a 102 by 112 feet (31 m × 34 m) 1,400-seat auditorium.It was built on the site of the group's previous building at Linwood and Paseo Boulevard.The group occupied the building from 1930 to 1940, and again from 1971 on.

The Laugh-O-Gram Studio (also called Laugh-O-Gram Studios) was an animation studio located on the second floor of the McConahay Building at 1127 East 31st in Kansas City, Missouri, that operated from June 28, 1921, to October 16, 1923. In the early years of animation, the studio was home to many of the pioneers of animation, brought there by Walt Disney. It was the site of inspiration for Disney and Ub Iwerks to create Mickey Mouse. Laugh-O-Gram is the subject of two feature films: As Dreamers Do and Walt Before Mickey.

The McConahay Building in Kansas City, Missouri is a two-story Tapestry Brick building designed by prominent Kansas City architect Nelle E. Peters in 1922.From the building's completion (in May 1922) to June 1923 the McConahay building housed Laugh-O-Gram Films, Walt Disney's first commercial film studio, which occupied a five-room suite of studios on the second floor. Here, he developed the cartoon character Mickey Mouse based on resident mice that he trained. He frequently ate at the Forest Inn Cafe in the building's first floor. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. The application for listing describes the building as "a fine local example of tapestry brick design architecture; exterior facades are of brickwork interspersed with cut stone and/or terra cotta blocks to form geometric designs". Historical status generally protects buildings from demolition, but it had deteriorated to the point where this had been considered. A local organization, Thank You Walt Disney, Inc., has acquired the building and is in the process of restoring it.

Central High School is a high school located at 3221 Indiana Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri. It is part of the Kansas City Public Schools. Central was established in 1867 in order to help educate the growing population of Kansas City. Formally located in downtown Kansas City, Missouri on 11th and Locust St, Central moved to its current location in 1912. The school colors are blue and white and the school's athletic teams are referred to as the "Eagles". Central has an enrollment of approximately 500 students annually.

The Kansas City Parks and Boulevards Historic District is a historic district which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.The listing includes a total of 40 contributing properties, including one building, 27 other structures, eight objects, and four sites. The district includes Cliff Drive.

Its northern terminus is at 4th Street and its southern terminus Bannister Road, totaling 10.7 miles (17.2 km). It is named after Kansas City's first resident physician, Dr. Benoist Troost (1776—1859).

The F.W. Woolworth Building is a historic department store building located in Kansas City, Missouri that served as a retail location for the F. W. Woolworth Company from 1928 until 1964. The one-story building includes a balustrade parapet and Moderne storefront.

Squier Park is a historic neighborhood in midtown Kansas City, Missouri, USA. It encompasses sixteen blocks bounded by Armour Boulevard on the north, 39th Street on the south, Troost Avenue on the west, and Paseo Boulevard on the east. It is primarily a residential neighborhood, with businesses along Troost Avenue. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 2012.

The Holy Name Catholic Church in Kansas City, Missouri was a building from 1928. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003. The building was demolished in 2011. Some of the exterior stone was used to repair the facade of St. Peter's church, also in Kansas City.

Kansas City Municipal Stadium was an American baseball and football stadium in the central United States, located in Kansas City, Missouri. It was located at the corner of Brooklyn Avenue and E. 22nd Street. Municipal Stadium hosted both the minor-league Kansas City Blues of the American Association and the Kansas City Monarchs of the Negro leagues from 1923 to 1955. The stadium was almost completely rebuilt prior to the 1955 baseball season when the Kansas City Athletics moved to Kansas City from Philadelphia. The Athletics played from 1955 to 1967, the Kansas City Royals from 1969 to 1972, the Kansas City Chiefs (American Football League and National Football League) from 1963 to 1971 and the Kansas City Spurs (North American Soccer League) from 1968 to 1969. The stadium hosted the Major League Baseball All-Star Game in 1960 (first game). In the final football game played there, Municipal Stadium was the site of the longest NFL game in history, a playoff game between the Chiefs and the Miami Dolphins on Christmas Day 1971; the Chiefs moved to the new Arrowhead Stadium in 1972. Jackie Robinson played at the stadium for the Kansas City Monarchs in 1945 until he was signed by the Brooklyn Dodgers.
