Blackmill

Blackmill railway station served the village of Blackmill, in the historical county of Glamorgan County Council, Wales, from 1873 to 1961 on the Ogmore Valley line.

Blackmill Woodlands is woodland which is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest and a Special Area of Conservation near Blackmill in Bridgend County Borough, south Wales, formerly it was in Glamorgan.

Lewistown Halt railway station served the village of Lewistown, in the historical county of Glamorgan, Wales, from 1942 to 1951 on the Ogmore Valley Railway.

Lewistown is a small village in South Wales. It lies between Ogmore Vale and Blackmill in the valley of the River Ogmore. It developed to service the local coal mines which have all now closed and it has become largely a commuter village for Bridgend and Maesteg.

Heol-y-Cyw is a little village in Bridgend County Borough, Wales, located near Bridgend, in the community of Coychurch Higher. The village, and its surroundings, had a population of 538 in 2011 census.

Coychurch Higher is a community in Bridgend County Borough, south Wales. It covers the westerly area of the county north of Pencoed and south of Ogmore Vale. The community is sparsely populated and contains only one settlement, the small village of Heol-y-Cyw, which is located on the southerly border of the community. The majority of the community is made up of hilly terrain populated by several farm houses. It was once the site of Wern Tarw Colliery, the site of the first major coalminers' strike post-nationalisation of the coal industry. The population of the community in 2011 was 888.

Llangeinor (Welsh: Llangeinwyr) is a small village (and electoral ward) located in the Garw Valley around 5 miles (8 km) north of Bridgend in Bridgend County Borough, Wales. The ward population taken at the 2011 census was 1,243. The entire village is now protected as part of a conservation area.

Ogmore (Welsh: Ogwr) is a constituency of the Senedd. It elects one Member of the Senedd by the first past the post method of election. It is one of seven constituencies in the South Wales West electoral region, which also elects four additional members, to produce a degree of proportional representation for the region as a whole.

Mynydd y Gaer is a 295-metre-high hill in Bridgend County Borough in South Wales. The summit is crowned by a trig point. It is reputed to be the site of Caradoc's fortress who in the first century AD resisted the Roman invasion of the Silures territories around 48-50 AD. There is a Caer Caradoc tumulus at the eastern end of the mynydd which is still displayed on the OS maps that is, according to local legend, the burial place of Caradoc. Nearby are the burial mounds of Meurig and Athwr II who resisted the Saxons in the 6th century.

Llangeinor railway station served the village of Llangeinor, in the historical county of Glamorgan, Wales, from 1886 to 1953 on the Garw Valley Railway.

Ogmore Comprehensive school, formerly known as Ogmore Grammar School, was a secondary school located in the Bridgend County Borough in Wales, UK. Ogmore Comprehensive School's mottos was “Preparing Pupils for life". The school was established in 1972 and covered Year 7 to Year 13, ages 11 to 18 in the UK. The school colors were Navy Blue and Red, with coordinating navy blue colored uniforms. It closed in 2011.
