Palacio de los Vivero

The Royal Audiencia and Chancellería of Valladolid was a judicial body established by Henry II of Castile in 1371, with jurisdiction over the entire territory of the Crown of Castile, except for the characteristics of the Hall of Justice (also called Mil y Quinientas) of the Council of Castile. The building was originally called El Palacio de los Vivero. It was based in the city of Valladolid and operated for much of the Middle Ages and throughout the Early Modern Ages as the highest court of law in the kingdom, and was suppressed in 1834 as a result of liberal reforms. In 1494, it lost part of its jurisdiction to the newly created Real Audiencia y Chancillería de Ciudad Real, which was itself soon transferred to Granada, with the creation of the Real Chancillería de Granada in 1505.

The Monasterio de las Descalzas Reales is a monastery located in Valladolid, in Castile and León, Spain. Literally the Monastery of the Barefoot Royals, the name refers to the practice of the usage of the Colettine branch of the Order of St. Clare to be barefoot while within the cloister. This monastery is to be distinguished from a similarly named one in Madrid of the same Order (see Convent of Las Descalzas Reales). The monastery was originally established in Villalcázar de Sirga in 1550 and was dedicated to Our Lady of Pity. It has been based in Valladolid since 1552, when the community moved to its permanent home, and its dedication was changed to Our Lady of the Assumption by order of King Philip III of Spain, who also initiated a rebuilding program. The monastery occupies a spacious site in the city, between calle de Ramón y Cajal (in front of the Chancillería), at the corner of calle de San Martín and calle del Prado. Its present building is in 17th-century neo-classical style to designs by Francisco de Mora.

The Colegio de San Gregorio is an Isabelline style building located in the city of Valladolid, in Castile and León, Spain, it was formerly a college and now is housing the Museo Nacional de Escultura museum. This building is one of the best examples of the architectural style known as Isabelline, which is the characteristic architectural style of the Crown of Castile region during the Catholic Monarchs' reign (late-15th century to early-16th century). Among other sections highlights its courtyard and its facade for its refined decoration, elegant proportions and the number of symbologies. It was founded as a teaching institution. Aimed at College of Theology for Dominican friars, it has acquired a doctrinal authority and acted as a spiritual and political hotbed in the Central region of Spain's Renaissance and Baroque periods.

The Museo Nacional de San Gregorio (National Museum of Sculpture) is a museum in Valladolid, Spain, belonging to the Spanish Ministry of Culture. The museum has an extensive collection sculptural ranging from the Middle Ages to the 19th century from Region of Castile's churches that, at 19th-20th c., these were confiscated, and other particular donations, deposits or acquisitions of the state. The museum was founded as the Provincial Museum of Fine Arts on 4 October 1842. It had its first headquarters at the Palacio de Santa Cruz. On 29 April 1933 it was moved to the Colegio de San Gregorio. Other current seats are in the 16th-century Palacio de Villena and Palacio del Conde de Gondomar The museum houses works from the 13th to 19th centuries, executed mostly in the Central Spain, and also in other regions historically connected to Spain (Italy, Flanders, Southern America). Artworks include, among the others, a Raising of the Cross by Francisco del Rincon, I Thirst, and The Way of Calvary Gregorio Fernández, Adoration of the Magi by Alonso Berruguete, Lamentation of Christ by Juan de Juni, Penitent Magdalene by Pedro de Mena or the Holy Sepulchre or passage of the Sleepers Alonso de Rozas. During the Holy Week in Valladolid the museum gives 104 images (distributed in the corresponding pasos) to the processions for the brotherhoods.

John the Baptist is a sculpture by the Baroque artist Alonzo Cano, housed in the National Sculpture Museum, Valladolid. The sculpture was made by the artist for the church of San Juan de la Palma, during his Seville period. In 1634 the Parish of Saint John the Baptist commissioned painter Juan del Castillo and retable joiner Miguel Cano, father of Alonso, a retable to include paintings and the central sculpture of Saint John. It was carved by Alonso Cano inspired by Martínez Montañés’ St. John the Baptist from St. Anne's convent (Seville). The sculpture is characterized by its idealized naturalism.

Christopher Columbus Museum is a museum in Valladolid in western Spain built in 1968. Outside is a statue of the Santa María.

The Church of Saint Mary the Ancient (Spanish: Santa María La Antigua) is a 12th-century church in Valladolid, central Spain. It was declared Bien de Interés Cultural in 1897.

The Iglesia conventual de San Pablo or San Pablo de Valladolid is a church and former convent, of Isabelline style, in the city of Valladolid, in Castile and León, Spain. The church was commissioned by Cardinal Juan de Torquemada between 1445 and 1468. It was subsequently extended and refurbished until 1616. Kings Philip II and Philip IV of Spain were baptized in the church, and it was visited by Napoleon. It is one of the buildings considered most emblematic of the city.

The façade of the University of Valladolid of Spain was built between 1716 and 1718 in the Baroque style. The architect Fray Pedro de la Visitacion supervised the construction. The façade was part of a project to enlarge the buildings of the university. On the façade are sculptural groups of allegoric representations of the subjects taught in the building. The central area has four gigantic columns, and at the top a comb. On the balustrade are represented the Spanish kings that contributed to the improvement of the university.

The University of Valladolid is a public university located in the city of Valladolid, Valladolid province, autonomous region of Castile and Leon, Spain. Established in the 13th century, it is one of the oldest universities in the world. The university has 26,000 undergraduate students and more than 2,300 professors.

The Illustrious Penitential Brotherhood of Our Lady of Anguish (Spanish: Ilustre Cofradía Penitencial de Nuestra Señora de las Angustias) is a Catholic fraternity established in Valladolid, Castile and León, Spain in 1536.

The Casa de los Vitoria (English: House of the Vitoria Family or House Vitoria) is a former palace located in Valladolid, Spain, which has been part of the Jesus and Mary School of the Carmelite Sisters of Charity of Vedruna since 1883. It is a palace from the late Valladolid Renaissance, commissioned by Luis de Vitoria. The large building draws inspiration from Herrerian architecture, evident in its exterior through the lintelled portals on Librería Street, featuring two sections and adorned with family coats of arms. The palace's original layout has been modified by raising its height, covering its courtyard, and adding a section to the rear façade. However, it retains its original typological configuration: a palatial structure organized around a central courtyard with an exterior appearance rooted in classical tradition, partially obscured by modern crépi finishes.
