As-Sadaka

The Blakhiya Byzantine cemetery in the Gaza Strip in Palestine was used as a burial place from the 3rd to 5th centuries. It may have been linked to the nearby port of Anthedon. The site was discovered in 1995 and excavated the following year. More than 70 burials were excavated.

The Blue Beach Resort was a luxury beach resort hotel that opened in Gaza in the summer of 2015. The hotel featured cabana boys serving clients on its private beach, and an Olympic-size swimming pool. Guests stayed in 162 "chalet-style" rooms set in landscaped grounds with views of the Mediterranean. It was part of the entertainment district along Al-Rashid Street in Gaza City that featured "dozens of new and modern resorts, chalets and coffee shops," other neighborhoods also had upscale shopping malls, apartment buildings, and entertainment venues.Blue Beach joined the five-star hotel Mashtal, built in 2011, at the high end of the Gaza luxury hotel market.The Washington Post described the hotel as one of a number of luxury businesses catering to wealthy Gazans. According to economic analyst Nizar Sha’ban, “Most foreigners who visit the Strip and stay in its hotels are journalists, aid workers, UN and Red Cross staff."The Blue Beach resort hotel was built on the basis of an agreement signed with the Palestinian Ministry of Housing, based on the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) method. The agreement states that Friko is both the developer and the operator of the hotel for a period of 49 years, with an option to renew for another identical period, after which the property is transferred to the authorities.During the 2023 Israel–Hamas war, dozens of Hamas militants fired anti-tank missiles at the Israeli forces from the hotel premises and its guest rooms. Fighters encountered Hamas militants and some of the militants were killed. During the battle, Israel Defense Forces discovered an underground infrastructure, which included seven shafts that led to tunnels, and inside of it the living rooms of Hamas militants. Many weapons were also found, including Kalashnikov rifles, various charges, and drones. In addition, video footage indicated that access to several tunnels was available from many guest corridors in the hotel.

Abdel Aziz al-Rantisi Hospital (Arabic: مستشفى الرنتيسي) is a children's hospital in the Nasser neighborhood of Gaza City. It is named after Abdel Aziz al-Rantisi, leader and co-founder of Hamas. The hospital's pediatric palliative care unit, the Dr. Musa And Suhaila Nasir Pediatric Cancer Department, was created in 2019 by U.S. charity Palestine Children's Relief Fund.As of November 2023, Bakr Gaoud was the head of the hospital.

Al Mat'haf (Arabic: المتحف, al-Mathaf, "The Museum") is a small, private museum in Gaza City, Palestine, focused on archaeology of the Gaza Strip. The museum is part of a privately owned hotel, also named Al Mat'haf, that includes a restaurant and conference center; both the hotel and its small museum opened to the public in the fall of 2008. The privately owned museum houses antiquities discovered in the Gaza Strip from various historical periods. The museum is owned by the businessman Jawdat N. Khoudary, who owns a series of construction companies in Gaza.

Sheikh Radwan (Arabic: الشيخ رضوان) is a district of Gaza City located nearly 3 kilometers (1.9 mi) northwest of the city center. It borders al-Shati camp to the southwest, Rimal to the south, and Jabalia to the east. The Sheikh Radwan Cemetery is located in the district. It contains hundreds of graves for Palestinians killed in the Israeli–Palestinian conflict, including Hamas leaders Ahmed Yassin, Abdel Aziz al-Rantissi, and Said Siam.

Sheikh Ijlin (Arabic: الشيخ عجلين) is a neighborhood in southern Gaza City near the coastal road.In December 2023 the New York Times reported that Israeli forces had carried out necroviolence by razing six cemeteries in the Gaza Strip including that of Sheikh Ijlin.On 18 November 2002, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) attacked the neighborhood, destroying the offices of the Preventive Security Force of the Palestinian National Authority.

Madinat al-Awda (Arabic: مَدينَة العودة) is a Palestinian village in the Gaza Governorate located in the northwestern suburbs of Gaza City along the Mediterranean coast and between al-Shati Camp and al-Atatra. Its population in the 1997 Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) census was 420, rising to 590 in 2006. It is administered by a local development committee under the Palestinian National Authority.

Al-Shati (Arabic: مخيم الشاطئ), also known as Shati or Beach camp, is a Palestinian refugee camp located in the northern Gaza Strip along the Mediterranean Sea coastline in the Gaza Governorate, and more specifically Gaza City. Al-Shati was established in 1948 for about 23,000 Palestinians who fled or were expelled from the cities of Jaffa, Lod and Beersheba as well as surrounding villages during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. The camp's total land area consists of 520 dunums.According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS), al-Shati had a population of 40,734 inhabitants in 2017. As of July 2023, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) reports a population of 90,173 registered refugees. The camp is the third largest refugee camp in the Palestinian Territories. The camp is currently under the control of the IDF.

On 9 October 2023, during the Israel–Hamas war, the Israel Defense Forces conducted an airstrike on al-Shati refugee camp in the Gaza Strip, destroying four mosques. According to Palestinian media, the attack killed people inside. The camp is Gaza's third-largest refugee camp, with a population of more than 90,000 refugees. A second strike was conducted on 12 October, killing 13 people.

On 31 July 2024, Ismail al-Ghoul, a Palestinian journalist and correspondent for Al Jazeera in the Gaza Strip, was killed along with cameraman Rami al-Rifi in an Israeli airstrike on the Al-Shati refugee camp while covering reactions to the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh. The incident drew international condemnation and calls for an independent investigation, with organizations such as Reporters Without Borders and the Committee to Protect Journalists denouncing the killing as a possible war crime, while the Israel Defense Forces claimed al-Ghoul was a Hamas operative, a charge Al Jazeera rejected as baseless.

Rimal or Remal (Arabic: حي الرمال, lit. 'sands') is a neighborhood in Gaza City located 3 kilometers (1.9 mi) from the city center. Situated along the coastline, it was considered the most prosperous neighborhood of Gaza. The main street that runs through Gaza, Omar Mukhtar Street runs northwest–southeast in the district and the main coastal road, Ahmad Orabi/Rasheed Street northeast-southwest. Rimal is divided into the city districts of southern Rimal and northern Rimal. The neighborhood is the site of multiple government ministries and has been severely damaged during the ongoing 2023 Israel–Hamas war.

The Ard-al-Moharbeen necropolis was a Roman cemetery in the Gaza Strip, Palestine. It is the largest cemetery to have been discovered in Gaza and is thought to have been in use from the 1st century BC to the 2nd century AD. The necropolis was discovered in 2022 and excavated in 2023 and damaged during the Israeli invasion of the Gaza Strip.
