Saint Mary's Cathedral (Galician: Catedral de Santa María), better known as Lugo Cathedral, is a Roman Catholic church and basilica in Lugo, Galicia, north-western Spain. The cathedral was erected in the early 12th century in a Romanesque style, with Gothic, Baroque and Neoclassicist elements.

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Lugo (Latin: Dioecesis Lucensis in Hispania) is a Latin Church see of the Catholic Church within Galicia, in north-western Spain, and one of the four suffragans in the ecclesiastical province of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Santiago de Compostela. The cathedral episcopal see is in the Catedral Basílica de Nuestra Señora del Carmen (Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Carmel), dedicated to Our Lady of Carmel, in Lugo city. It also has a World Heritage Site : the Cistercian Monastery of Santa María, in Sobrado dos Monxes, A Coruña, Galicia.

The University Museum A Domus do Mitreo (Galician: Museo Universitario A Domus do Mitreo) is a museum center built on the old site of the Pazo de Montenegro and annexed buildings, next to the Roman walls of Lugo. The Museum is called Domus do Mitreo because when archaeological surveys were carried out, prior to the construction of the new building, the remains of a domus appeared. This domus, during the Lower Roman Empire, was partially reformed to build a private building intended for use as a Mithraeum. The historical importance of the archaeological remains discovered led to revise the architectural project initially planned to preserve and incorporate them into the new building.

The Roman walls of Lugo (Spanish, Galician: Muralla Romana de Lugo) were constructed in the 3rd century and are still largely intact, stretching over 2 kilometers around the historic centre of Lugo in Galicia (Spain). The fortifications were added to UNESCO's World Heritage List in late 2000 and are a popular tourist attraction.

Negreira is a municipality in northwestern Spain in the province of A Coruña, located on the Tambre River, in the autonomous community of Galicia. It is found to the west of Santiago de Compostela. The municipality had a population of 98,025 in 2018, making it the fourth most populous city in Galicia.Lugo is the only city in the world to be surrounded by completely intact Roman walls, which reach a height of 10 to 15 metres (33 to 49 feet) along a 2,117-metre (6,946 ft) circuit ringed with 71 towers. The walk along the top is continuous round the circuit, and features ten gates. These 3rd century walls are protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The bridge over the Miño is essentially of Roman date, though many repairs over the centuries have effaced its Roman character. It is along the Camino Primitivo path of the Camino de Santiago.

The Roman bridge of Lugo is a bridge of Roman origin in Lugo, Galicia, that has been reconstructed and repaired several times. The bridge crosses the Minho river.

Polvorín Fútbol Club, previously Sociedad Deportiva e Cultural Polvorín, is a Spanish football team based in Lugo, in the autonomous community of Galicia. Founded in 1991, it plays in Tercera División RFEF – Group 1, holding home matches at Campo de Fútbol O Polvorín with a capacity of 2,500 seats. The club acts as a reserve team of CD Lugo since 2015.

The Estadio Anxo Carro, also known as Estadio Ángel Carro, is a stadium located in Lugo, Galicia, Spain. It is currently used for football matches and is the home stadium of CD Lugo.

The Agricultural Biodiversity and Rural Development Institute - IBADER is a research university joint institute, created in 2001, with headquarters in the city of Lugo. This institution belongs to the University of Santiago de Compostela in its Campus from Lugo. Nowadays is formed by the University of Santiago de Compostela, Xunta de Galicia and Deputación Provincial de Lugo.
