Saint Joseph Church and Shrine

The Irish Hills Towers are two wooden observation towers located at 8433 West U.S. Highway 12 in Cambridge Township, Lenawee County, Michigan, in the Irish Hills region. They were added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 2, 2007.

Cambridge Township is a civil township of Lenawee County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 5,722 at the 2020 census.

Irish Hills is an area of land located roughly in southeastern Jackson County and northwest Lenawee County in Southeast Michigan. It was named after the numerous Irish immigrants who settled there from 1830 until 1850. Today it is known throughout the state for its scenery, especially in the summer. Its hills and larger kettle lakes surround the 654-acre (2.65 km2) Hayes State Park. It is also known for its chain of smaller kettle lakes bordered by US Highway 12 (US 12, Michigan Avenue). These link to Cambridge Junction Historic State Park, which is adjoined by the Michigan International Speedway. Starting in the 1920's the Irish Hills has had several family-oriented roadside attractions, including an old west theme park known as Frontier City, a mock dinosaur exhibit named Prehistoric Forest, and a fairy tale themed park named Fantasy Land, all of which have closed. Frontier City saw some competition in 1965 with the opening of the Stagecoach Stop, a similar park with a better location. As of 2024, Mystery Hill, a gravity hill, is still in operation. Attempts are being made to save the observation towers known as the Irish Hills Towers. In the 1970's, Cedar Point acquired land in an attempt to build an amusement park, which would have complemented its location in Sandusky, Ohio. However, local residents spoke out against the project and it was eventually cancelled. The Michigan International Speedway hosts NASCAR races, attracting over 300,000 fans a year during the racing season of June and August. The Michigan International Speedway also hosts the Faster Horses Music Festival and Nite Lights a drive-through winter holiday light display around Christmas. Some towns in Irish Hills include Brooklyn, Napoleon, Norvell and Onsted.

Walter J. Hayes State Park is a public recreation area covering 654 acres (265 ha) on the southeast corner of Wamplers Lake in the Irish Hills region of the state of Michigan. Most of the state park lies within Lenawee County with a small portion extending into Jackson and Washtenaw counties in the Round Lake area. The park offers access to 796-acre (322 ha) Wamplers Lake and completely surrounds 100-acre (40 ha) Round Lake, which connects to Wamplers Lake via a channel navigable by smaller boats. Other scenic lakes including Evans Lake and Sand Lake as well as chains of smaller lakes lie nearby. The park is traversed by Michigan Route 124 north of its intersection with US Highway 12.

The Nathaniel S. Wheeler House is a private residence located at 7075 M-50 (known locally as West Monroe Street) just north of the village of Onsted in rural Cambridge Township in Lenawee County, Michigan. It was designated as a Michigan Historic Site on July 26, 1974, and later added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 24, 1975.

The Bauer Manor, also known as the Davenport House or Davenport Hotel, is a hotel located at 1280 U.S. Route 12 (known locally as Michigan Avenue) near the unincorporated community of Tipton in Franklin Township in northern Lenawee County, Michigan. It was designated as a Michigan State Historic State on May 18, 1971 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 4, 2007.

Vineyard Lake is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Jackson County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The CDP had a population of 980 at the 2010 census. It is located within Columbia Township to the west and Norvell Township to the east.

The Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church is a historic church located in rural Cambridge Township in northwestern Lenawee County, Michigan. The church was designated as a Michigan Historic Site on October 2, 1980. On February 4, 2004, the church, along with the adjacent Cambridge Township Cemetery, was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

Onsted is a village within Lenawee County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The village had a population of 988 at the 2020 census. Located within the Irish Hills region, the village is part of Cambridge Township. Onsted was first settled in 1883 and named after early settler John Onsted. The community incorporated as a village in 1907.

S. Walker's Hotel, also known as the Brick Walker Tavern, is a former hotel/tavern located at 11705 US-12 in Cambridge Township, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007. The hotel is notable for its brick exterior and three-story height - most other surviving early brick tavern/hotel buildings in Michigan are two-story frame structures. The building is currently operated as an event space known as the "Brick Walker Tavern."

The Walker Tavern is a historic structure located at 11710 U.S. Route 12 in Cambridge Township in northwesternmost Lenawee County, Michigan. It was designated as a Michigan Historic Site on February 19, 1958, and was later the county's first property added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 25, 1971. The structure was incorporated into the Cambridge Junction Historic State Park and continues to serve as a museum and venue for various events.

Cambridge Junction Historic State Park is a historic preservation area located three miles south of Brooklyn in Cambridge Township, Michigan. The state park is the site of Walker Tavern, a major stopping place for stagecoaches traveling between Detroit and Chicago in the early nineteenth century.The tavern has been operated seasonally by the Michigan History Center since 1965. It is part of an 80-acre site that includes two additional historic structures: a reconstructed barn with artifacts and exhibits about people, travel and work in the 1840s and 1850s, and the 1929 Hewitt House Visitors Center that focuses on early auto tourism, with displays about well-known Irish Hills roadside tourist attractions of the 20th century.
