Egremont is an area of Wallasey, in the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral, Merseyside, England. Historically part of Cheshire and in the north east of the Wirral Peninsula, it is bordered by New Brighton to the north, Liscard to the west and Seacombe to the south.

Liscard is an area of the town of Wallasey, in the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral, Merseyside, England. The most centrally located of Wallasey's townships, it is the main shopping area of the town, with many shops located in the Cherry Tree Shopping Centre. At the 2001 census the population of Liscard local government ward was recorded at 14,301, increasing to 15,574 at the 2011 census.

Liscard Hall was a 19th-century Grade II listed mansion located in Wallasey, Merseyside, England. Formerly known as Moors Hey House, the building was constructed in 1832 for Sir John Tobin, a former slave-ship captain, on an estate occupying 57 acres (23 ha) of land. After Tobin's death in 1851, it was inherited by his son-in-law Harold Littledale, a Liverpool merchant, who lived there until his own death in 1889. The estate was bought by the Wallasey Local Board, who turned the grounds into Central Park, and the house was used as the Wallasey School of Art, later renamed the Liscard Science and Art College. The college moved out in the 1980s, and the building was taken over by Serve Wirral Training, which managed the local Youth Training Scheme until it closed in 2003.The building was owned by Wirral Council but remained empty. In 2008 vandals set the disused building on fire, resulting in its subsequent demolition after being deemed unsafe.

Commander William Thomas Turner, OBE, RNR (23 October 1856 – 23 June 1933) was a British merchant navy captain. He is best known as the captain of RMS Lusitania when she was sunk by a German torpedo in May 1915.

Central Park is located in Wallasey, Merseyside, England. The park was the site of Liscard Hall, which was set ablaze by local vandals on 7 July 2008. The damage to the hall was too severe and the once grand house had to be demolished. The hall was the home of Sir John Tobin, a former Mayor of Liverpool. The park has football and cricket grounds.

Sandheys Park was a football ground in New Brighton, England. It was the home ground of New Brighton A.F.C. from 1921 until World War II.

The Manor Church Centre was a combined church and church hall on Seabank Road, Egremont, Merseyside, England. It was built in 1907–08 as Egremont Presbyterian Church, later became Egremont United Reformed Church, and in 1994 joined with a local Methodist church to become the Manor Church Centre. The church was designed by Briggs, Wolstenholme and Thornley, is constructed in sandstone, and is in a mixture of Arts and Crafts and Gothic Revival styles. The church is notable for the stained glass in its windows. The church and hall are recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building. The church was closed c. 2011 as a result of dwindling congregation numbers.

It is located on the Wirral Peninsula and bordered by Liscard to the north, Egremont to the north east and Seacombe to the east. The West Float (part of the former Wallasey Pool which gave the area its name), is to the south.
