Wilby is a suburban linear village and civil parish in the Wellingborough built-up area of North Northamptonshire, England. The suburb is 3 miles south-west of Wellingborough town centre. The village is often considered a suburb of Wellingborough, due to its close proximity to the town, as well as having a Wellingborough town post code, as opposed to a Wellingborough rural post code. It is directly south-west of the town of Wellingborough on the former trunk road, the A4500, to the county town of Northampton. At the time of the 2021 census, the parish's population was 643 people. It is also thought to date to the Victorian times.The village's name origin is dubious. 'farm/settlement of Willa' or 'farm/settlement of Villi'. Later sources show similarity to Old English 'wilig' meaning 'willow'.The village is governed as part of North Northamptonshire. Before changes in 2021 it was governed by the Wellingborough Borough Council. Wilby has a Church of England and Voluntary Aided Primary School, a small village faith school built in 1854. Earls Barton is a village and civil parish in Northamptonshire, notable for its Anglo-Saxon church and shoe-making heritage. The village is in North Northamptonshire and was previously in the Borough of Wellingborough until 2021. At the time of the 2011 census, the population was 5,387. Earls Barton is renowned for its remarkable Anglo-Saxon heritage.

Weavers Academy (Weavers School) is a co-educational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in Wellingborough in the English county of Northamptonshire.Formerly a Technical Grammar School, it went on to become Weavers School, a community school administered by Northamptonshire County Council. It then briefly became a foundation school before converting to academy status in September 2013, and was renamed Weavers Academy. The school is now sponsored by the Creative Education Trust, but Weavers Academy continues to coordinate with Northamptonshire County Council for admissions. Weavers Academy offers GCSEs, BTECs and OCR Nationals as programmes of study for pupils, while sixth form students can choose to study a range of A Levels and further BTECs. In 2002, Weavers School achieved the distinction of becoming the first educational establishment in England to have a serving police officer based on its premises. Two years later, the school was placed in special measures by the Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills (Ofsted).

HM Prison Wellingborough was a Category C men's prison, located in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, England. The prison was previously operated by Her Majesty's Prison Service and was retained as reserve site for use in the event of other prisons being at capacity. HM Prison Five Wells was built on the site of the prison following its demolition in 2019.

HMP Five Wells, also referred to as Wellingborough Prison or HMP Wellingborough, due to it being built on same site as the latter, is a Category C men's prison, located in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, England. With a maximum capacity of 1,680, it is the largest prison in the East Midlands, and one of the largest in the UK. The prison is operated by G4S.

Queensway is an area and a road in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. Running north–south between Hardwick Road and Northampton Road, Queensway, along with Kingsway and Gleneagles Drive, acts as an inner bypass of central Wellingborough, making it one of the most important and busiest roads in the town. Colloquially referred to as 'Queens', the estate is situated on the west side of Wellingborough town. The area had a population of 5,818 at the 2011 census.

Castle Ashby & Earls Barton railway station is a former railway station in Northamptonshire on the former Northampton and Peterborough Railway, a line which connected Peterborough and Northampton.In 1846 the line, along with the London and Birmingham, became part of the London and North Western Railway. At grouping in 1923 it became part of the London Midland and Scottish Railway.

Wollaston Meadows is a 14.3-hectare (35-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest south of Wellingborough in Northamptonshire.This site on the banks of the River Nene is composed of two species-rich hay fields. Flora include meadow foxtail, crested dog's-tail and red fescue. Overgrown hedges and ditches provide habitats for birds, small mammals and invertebrates.The site is private land with no public access.

Wellingborough is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament. The seat is currently vacant, after the recall of MP Peter Bone in December 2023. The vacancy is to be filled in an upcoming by-election. Following the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, the seat will be replaced by Wellingborough and Rushden at the next general election.

All Saints' Church is a noted Anglo-Saxon Church of England parish church in Earls Barton, Northamptonshire. It is estimated that the building dates from the later tenth century, shortly after Danish raids on England.
