Bowles Rocks

Bowles Outdoor Centre is an outdoor education/outdoor learning centre in southeast England, located between Royal Tunbridge Wells and Crowborough at Bowles Rocks. The centre was founded in 1961 and became a charity in 1964. It provides residential personal development courses for children and young people through outdoor and adventurous activities.

Eridge railway station is on the Uckfield branch of the Oxted line in southern England and serves a rural district around Eridge in East Sussex. It is 35 miles 53 chains (35.66 miles, 57.39 km) from London Bridge. The station is managed by Southern. Train services from the station are provided by Southern. Also, heritage services connecting to Groombridge, High Rocks and Tunbridge Wells West are run by the Spa Valley Railway. The station has a small car park and there is a pub next to the station called the Huntsman.

Harrison's Rocks is a series of sandstone crags approximately 1.5 kilometres (1 mi) south of the village of Groombridge in the county of East Sussex. The site is a notable example of a periglacial tor landform developed in rocks of the Ardingly Sandstone Member of the Tunbridge Wells Sand Formation. It is popular with rock climbers, and is the largest of the cluster of local outcrops known by climbers as Southern Sandstone. Harrison's Rocks is owned by climbers and is managed on their behalf by the British Mountaineering Council with funding from the English Sports Council.

Bream Wood is a 7.8-hectare (19-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest north of Crowborough in East Sussex.This steep sided valley wood has several locally rare ferns and mosses. There are a number of small ponds and acid springs and flora include the rare moss Dicranodontium denudatum at one of only two known locations in south-east England. The dry upper slopes have ancient woodland.The site is private land with no public access.

Jarvis Brook is a village between Crowborough and Rotherfield in the Borough of Wealden East Sussex. Crowborough Railway Station, on the Uckfield branch of the Oxted Line, is in the village.

Eridge Green is a 8.4-hectare (21-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest north-east of Crowborough in East Sussex. It is part of the 44 hectares (110 acres) Eridge Rocks nature reserve, which is managed by Sussex Wildlife Trust.This is ancient woodland on clay with outcrops of sandstone which form cliffs up to ten metres high. Flora on the rocks include Tunbridge filmy fern, the mosses Dicranum scottianum and Orthodontium gracile and the liverworts Scapania umbrosa, Scapania gracilis and Harpanthus scutatus. There is access from Warren Farm Lane.

Crowborough railway station is on the Uckfield branch of the Oxted Line in England, serving the town of Crowborough, East Sussex. It is 39 miles 11 chains (63.0 km) from London Bridge. The station and all trains that call are operated by Southern.

Penn's Rocks is a 10.2-hectare (25-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest north of Crowborough in East Sussex.This site is a steep sided valley on sandstone with many mosses and liverworts, which is a nationally rare habitat. Uncommon species include Orthodontium gracile, Bazzania trilobata, Saccogyna viticulosa and Harpanthus scutatus.This site is in four separate areas. A footpath runs through one of them but the others are private land.

Crowborough Country Park is a 7.3-hectare (18-acre) Local Nature Reserve on the western outskirts of Crowborough in East Sussex. It is owned and managed by Crowborough Town Council.The park has diverse habitats including wet and dry woodland, grass and heath glades, marshes, streams and ponds. The main stream runs through a steep rocky gorge. Flora include the nationally rare moss Discelium nudum.There is access at a number of points including in Osborne Road and Tollwood Road.

Beacon Academy (formerly Beacon Community College) is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form located in Crowborough in the English county of East Sussex.The school converted to academy status in April 2012. It was previously a community school administered by East Sussex County Council. Today, the school is sponsored by the MARK Education Trust.Beacon Academy offers GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for pupils, while students in the sixth form have the option to study from a range of A Levels and further BTECs.

Rotherfield is a village and civil parish in the Wealden District of East Sussex, England. It is one of the largest parishes in East Sussex. There are three villages in the parish: Rotherfield, Mark Cross and Eridge. The River Rother, which drains much of the county and discharges at Rye Harbour, has its source on the south side of the hill on which Rotherfield village is built.

Groombridge railway station is a station on the Spa Valley Railway (SVR) in Groombridge, East Sussex, England. Once a busy station serving four directions, it closed in 1985 to British Rail services. A new station the other side of Station Road bridge was opened by the SVR in 1997 as part of a standard gauge heritage railway to Tunbridge Wells West.
