Virieu-le-Petit

Arvière-en-Valromey (French pronunciation: [aʁvjɛʁ ɑ̃ valʁɔmɛ]) is a commune in the Ain department in eastern France. The municipality was established on 1 January 2019 by merger of the former communes of Brénaz, Chavornay, Lochieu and Virieu-le-Petit.

Chavornay (French pronunciation: [ʃavɔʁnɛ] ) is a former commune in the Ain department in eastern France. On 1 January 2019, it was merged into the new commune Arvière-en-Valromey.

Col du Grand Colombier (el. 1,498 metres or 4,915 feet) is a mountain pass in the Jura mountains in France. This pass lies at the southern extremity of the Jura in the massif of the Grand Colombier. With the Col du Chasseral, it is the highest road pass in the Jura. It passes between the Grand Colombier (el. 1,531 m (5,023 ft)) and the Croix du Colombier (1,525 m (5,003 ft)), which is accessible by trail from the pass. The view from the summit is superb, either down the valley of the Rhône, the Lac du Bourget and the gorges of Val-de-Fier, or the distant peaks of the Alps.

Grand Colombier (el. 1534 m) is a mountain in the Ain department in eastern France. It lies in the area of Bugey. This summit dominates the upper valley of the Rhône and the Lake of Bourget in the Savoie department and the commune of Culoz which lies at its feet. From the Grand Colombier, hiking and mountain biking trails lead over the mountains of Bugey in the direction of the plateau of Retord and have views of the Alps. The Col du Grand Colombier is one of the steepest passes in France, with a 20-percent gradient on the Bugey side.

Champagne-en-Valromey (French pronunciation: [ʃɑ̃paɲ ɑ̃ valʁɔmɛ]) is a commune in the Ain department in eastern France. On April 28, 2009, Champagne-en-Valromey was awarded the Wine Tasting International Pride Award for producing more than 12 different prize-winning wines in less than six months.

Vieu (French pronunciation: [vjø]; Arpitan: Viu) is a former commune in the Ain department in eastern France. On 1 January 2019, it was merged into the new commune Valromey-sur-Séran.
