Replonges

The canton of Replonges is an administrative division of the Ain department, in eastern France. It was created at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Replonges.It consists of the following communes:

Saint-Laurent-sur-Saône (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ loʁɑ̃ syʁ son], literally Saint-Laurent on Saône) is a commune in the Ain department in eastern France. It lies on the left bank of the Saône, across from the city of Mâcon.

The former bishopric of Mâcon was located in Burgundy. The bishopric of Macon was established as a suffragan of Lyon. The existence of Mâcon as a separate diocese ended at the French Revolution.

Mâcon Cathedral (French: Cathédrale Saint-Vincent de Mâcon) is a Roman Catholic church located in Mâcon, Burgundy, France. The cathedral is in the neoclassical architectural style typical for its time. It was formerly the seat of the Bishop of Mâcon, abolished under the Concordat of 1801 and merged into the Diocese of Autun. The present church (Église cathédrale Saint-Vincent de Mâcon) was built between 1808 and 1818 under the supervision of the architect Alexandre de Gisors. Of its predecessor, known as "Vieux Saint-Vincent" (Old St. Vincent), there remain two towers, a narthex and a tympanum. The highly distinctive south tower, which is topped by a belvedere, serves as a symbol of Mâcon.

The arrondissement of Mâcon is an arrondissement in the department of Saône-et-Loire, in the French region of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. It has 119 communes. Its population is 112,854 (2016), and its area is 1,221.9 km2 (471.8 sq mi).

Mâcon (French pronunciation: [mɑ.kɔ̃] ), historically anglicised as Mascon, is a city in east-central France. It is the prefecture of the department of Saône-et-Loire in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. Mâcon is home to near 34,000 residents, who are referred to in French as Mâconnais. The city gave its name to the nearby vineyards and wine 'appellation'.

Saint-André-de-Bâgé (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃.t‿ɑ̃dʁe də baʒe]) is a commune in the Ain department in eastern France.

Mâconnais Beaujolais Agglomération is the communauté d'agglomération, an intercommunal structure, centred on the city of Mâcon. It is located in the Saône-et-Loire and Ain departments, in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes regions, eastern France. Created in 2017, its seat is in Mâcon. Its area is 298.2 km2. Its population was 78,281 in 2019, of which 33,908 in Mâcon proper.

Grièges (French pronunciation: [ɡʁijɛʒ]; Arpitan: Grièjo) is a commune in the Ain department in eastern France.

The Veyle (French pronunciation: [vɛl]; Arpitan: Vêla) is a 66.8 km (41.5 mi) long river in the Ain department in eastern France. Its source is in Chalamont. It flows generally northwest. It is a left tributary of the Saône, into which it flows between Grièges and Crottet, near Mâcon.
