Redbournbury Mill, is a Grade II* listed flour mill in Redbournbury, Hertfordshire, England, which is thought to have been first built in the early 11th Century. Having operated as a watermill on the River Ver, the mill is now powered by a diesel engine.

The Ahm House at 44 West Common Way is a house in Harpenden in Hertfordshire, England. It was built between 1961 and 1963 by the structural engineer Povl Ahm, a partner of Ove Arup, for himself to a design by the Danish architect Jørn Utzon. Ahm, Arup and Utzon were working on the design and construction of Sydney Opera House at the time of the house's construction.The house has been listed Grade II on the National Heritage List for England since July 1998. In their official listed building report Historic England described the house as "a distinguished and beautifully detailed modern house, in the idiom of an important architect who built relatively little". Nikolaus Pevsner in the Hertfordshire edition of his Buildings of England series described the Ahm House as an "interesting modern house ... [that] makes no concessions to the outsider nor to the genteel facadism of its neighbours. All that one sees from the road is a yawning carport with a rhythm of projecting concrete beam-ends above, and a tall blank yellow brick wall on the right".

The three tiers of local government are Redbourn Parish Council, St Albans City & District Council, and Hertfordshire County Council.

Childwickbury Stud is a Thoroughbred horse breeding farm near St Albans, Hertfordshire, England. Originally built in 1888 by Sir John Blundell Maple as part of his Childwickbury estate, he bred and raced Thoroughbreds and built Childwickbury Stud into a very successful horse breeding operation. Another prominent racehorse owner, Jack Barnato Joel, bought the estate including the stud farm around 1906. On his death in 1940, his son Jim Joel took over the operation. He too became a successful racehorse owner and breeder and maintained the property until 1978 when the stud and the manor were sold separately. Childwickbury Stud was then bought by the Marquesa de Moratella.. [1]. In December 2011 the Childwickbury Stud [2] was sold and is currently owned by Mr Paul Flatt & Mrs Sally Flatt. The Stud Manager is John Hernon.

Gorhambury House is a Palladian-style house near St Albans, Hertfordshire, England. It was built between 1777 and 1784 to replace Old Gorhambury House, which was left to fall into ruin. It was designed by Sir Robert Taylor and commissioned by James Grimston, 3rd Viscount Grimston. Grimston's son was made Earl of Verulam, and the building is currently the home of the 7th Earl of Verulam.Features of interest inside include a fireplace designed by Piranesi. The house is Grade II* listed. It is a member of Historic Houses Association and is open for tours at certain times.The surrounding estate includes much of the site of the Roman city of Verulamium.
