Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology, (formerly Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology), is a multi-disciplinary design school established in 1996 by Dr. Geetha Narayanan under the Ujwal Trust in Bangalore, India. It offers design education in Digital Video Production, Film, Visual Communication, Experimental Media Arts, Design in Education, Textile Design, Animation and Visual Effects, Interaction Design, Product and Interface Design, and Business Systems and Design.

KNN College of Nursing, located at Yelahanka, Bangalore, was established in 2004 by a team headed by its current chairman, Dr. K.N. Satish. The institute offers all the available courses in nursing, namely, B.Sc (Nursing), M.Sc (Nursing), general nursing and midwifery, and Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing). The master's degree is available in five specialties: psychiatry, pediatrics, obstetrics & gynecology, medical-surgical nursing.The institute has entered into an exclusive memorandum of understanding with Columbia-Asia Hospitals such that the latter will recruit fresh graduates only from KNN College of Nursing, and in turn, Columbia-Asia Hospitals gets to train the students to its own standards.

Rail Wheel Factory, Yelahanka (RWF) (also known as Wheel and Axle Plant) is a manufacturing unit of Indian Railways, producing wheels, axles and wheel sets of railroad wagons, coaches and locomotives for the use of Indian Railways and overseas customers is situated at Yelahanka, Bangalore in the Indian state of Karnataka. The unit was started by C. K. Jaffer Sharief, the then Railway Minister, who got this project to Bangalore. It was commissioned in 1984 to manufacture wheels and axles for the Indian Railways. This factory uses cast steel technology in the manufacturing of wheels which utilizes scrap steel collected from Railways' own workshops as raw material. The products (Wheels, Axles and wheel sets) are engineered with little scope for human errors. It has a planned capacity to manufacture of about 70,000 wheels of different sizes, 23,000 axles and to assemble 23,000 wheel sets. It employs over 2000 personnel and has an annual turnover of about 82 crores. It is an ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001 certified unit for its business processes. It was the first unit of Indian Railways to receive ISO 9001:2008 accreditation.

Yelahanka Ward (Ward No. 1), officially known as Kempegowda Ward is one of the 198 Wards (an administrative region) of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike, an administrative body responsible for civic amenities and some infrastructural assets of the Greater Bangalore metropolitan area in the Indian state of Karnataka.

Puttenahalli WS Lake also spelled as Puttanahalli Lake is a 10-hectare water body near Yelahanka, 14 km north of Bangalore. This lake is not to be confused with another lake having similar name viz Puttenahalli lake, in J.P Nagar South Bangalore.

Allalasandra is a historic locality in North Bengaluru, situated adjacent to the Gandhi Krishi Vigyan Kendra (GKVK) campus on Bellary Road. The name Allalasandra is mentioned in an inscription dated to 1544 CE, tracing its historicity back about 500 years. The inscription records the donation of the entire village of Allalasandra to the Allalanatha temple at Jakkur. The earliest map of Allalasandra is a 1905CE state land records map which shows the village and adjoining areas being of 2.47sq km, 7.78 km perimeter. The village is shown bounded by Yelahanka kasaba, Shivanahalli, Jakkur Plantation, Bytrayanapura, Kothi Hosahalli, Kodigehalli, Kodigehalli Plantation and Chikka Bommasandra villages. Today the same area has been apportioned between Allalasandra village, GKVK campus, upmarket Judicial Layout and some portions of Bellary road. Four inscriptions were documented in this locality spanning from the 11th century to the 18th-19th century CE, of which only two are physically present, the status of the rest two remains unknown.

Yelahanka Lake is a water body near Yelahanka, a suburb of Bangalore.

Yelahanka is an upcoming important elevated metro station on the North-South corridor of the Blue Line of Namma Metro in Bangalore, India. This metro station will serve the main Yelahanka suburban area, which contains Yelahanka Junction, along with its Rail Wheel Factory, Yelahanka Lake and Yelahanka Air Force Station. It also includes many residential areas such as SOBHA Palm Court Apartments, Park View Apartments and SLV Nest Apartments. This station will be useful for general public who plan to head towards Hebbal in the south and towards Kempegowda International Airport in the north. This metro station is slated to be operational around June 2026.

It is the oldest part of present Municipal Bengaluru (Bangalore) city and is in the north of the city. It is Nadaprabhu Kempegowda I, of the Yelahanka Prabhu clans, who laid the foundation of present-day Bengaluru through the creation of a "mud fort town" in 1537 CE
