The Charles L. Cost Sports Center is a multi-purpose indoor sports complex at the University of Pittsburgh and located at its upper campus area above and behind the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Cost Sports Center sits on top of the seven-story University's Tower View Parking garage directly above Pitt's Trees Field, the university's former baseball and softball facilities as well as the school's intramural fields. The fields, planned to be converted into a new track and field complex, can be reached via elevator from within the Cost Sports Center. Designed by architectural firm Celli, Flynn, and Associates, ground was broken on February 9, 1989 and the Cost Sports Center opened in 1990 at a cost of $3.5 million ($7.7 million today). The facility was named after three-sport letterman and former Pitt football running back Charles L. "Corky" Cost who donated an excess of $1 million ($2.3 million today) for its construction.

The upper campus residence halls at the University of Pittsburgh include Sutherland Hall, Panther Hall, K. Leroy Irvis Hall, the fraternity housing complex, and the Darragh Street Apartments. Among the newest residence facilities at the university, these buildings reside on the upper campus located near many of the school's athletic facilities. The upper campus resides approximately 200 feet (61 m) above the lower campus that lies along Forbes and Fifth Avenues, providing dramatic views along the hilltop and slopes. Planning for upper campus student housing originated in the late 1960s and early 1970s, but stalled due to community and political opposition until the early 1990s with opening of Sutherland Hall, the first major student residence constructed by Pitt in 29 years.

Fitzgerald Field House is a 4,122-seat multi-purpose athletic venue on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. Fitzgerald Field House is named for Rufus Fitzgerald, a past chancellor (1945–1955) of the university. It is the primary home competition venue for the university's gymnastics, volleyball, and wrestling teams.

Joseph C. Trees Hall is a multipurpose student, staff, faculty recreational facility on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. First opened in 1962 with a second phase of construction was completed in 1965, Trees Hall houses the School of Education's Department of Health and Physical Activity, various student recreation facilities, a pool that serves as the home to Pitt's varsity men's and women's swimming and diving teams, and the primary training facility for Pitt's varsity women's gymnastics team.

Pitt Stadium was an outdoor athletic stadium in the eastern United States, located on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh in the Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Opened in 1925, it served primarily as the home of the university's Pittsburgh Panthers football team through 1999. It was also used for other sporting events, including basketball, soccer, baseball, track and field, rifle, and gymnastics. Designed by University of Pittsburgh graduate W. S. Hindman, the $2.1 million stadium was built after the seating capacity of the Panthers' previous home, Forbes Field, was deemed inadequate in light of the growing popularity of college football. Pitt Stadium also served as the second home of the Pittsburgh Steelers, the city's National Football League (NFL) franchise. After demolition, the Pittsburgh Panthers football team played home games at Three Rivers Stadium in 2000, before moving to the new Heinz Field (now Acrisure Stadium) in 2001, where the Panthers have played their home games ever since.

The Petersen Events Center (more commonly known as "The Pete") is a 12,508-seat multi-purpose arena on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh in the Oakland neighborhood. The arena is named for philanthropists John Petersen and his wife Gertrude, who donated $10 million for its construction. John Petersen, a Pitt alumnus, is a native of nearby Erie and is the retired president and CEO of Erie Insurance Group. The Petersen Events Center was winner of the 2003 Innovative Architecture & Design Honor Award from Recreation Management magazine.

Jonas Salk Hall at the University of Pittsburgh is a Pennsylvania state and Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation Historic Landmark. The Art Deco building is named after Jonas Salk, who conducted his research on the first polio vaccine in a basement laboratory while on the faculty at the University of Pittsburgh.

The University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy is the graduate pharmacy school of the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. Founded in 1878, it offers Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees, as well as a residency training program. The school is one of the university's six schools of the health sciences and is ranked in the top 10 of pharmacy schools according to U.S. News & World Report.

The University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine is the dental school of the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt). It is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. It is one of Pitt's six schools of the health sciences and one of several dental schools in Pennsylvania. It is closely affiliated with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. The School of Dental Medicine accepted 3.6% of applicants for the class of 2016, a record low for the school's entire history. It is located in Salk Hall on Pitt's campus. Each year, between 70 and 80 students graduate from Pitt's D.M.D. program. Admission into the School of Dental Medicine is highly competitive. Eighty incoming students were accepted out of 2,200 applications submitted. Total mean college GPA of incoming students in 2017 was 3.74 (science 3.67); academic average DAT score was 21.6. Dr. Bernard J. Costello is the School of Dental Medicine's current dean as of 2018.

University Prep 6-12 is a secondary magnet school in the Sugar Top (Hill District) neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. University Prep is one of ten high schools in the Pittsburgh Public Schools.

The Pennsylvania-Ohio Intercollegiate Hockey League, sometimes called the Penn-Ohio Intercollegiate Hockey League, Ohio-Penn Intercollegiate Hockey League or Cleveland-Pittsburgh Intercollegiate Hockey League, was a varsity men's collegiate ice hockey conference from 1937 to 1941.

The Centre Avenue YMCA Building located at 2621 Centre Avenue in the Middle Hill District neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was built in 1922. A sign on the building says the following: "Centre Avenue YMCA - This building was erected in 1922 to house the only YMCA for African-Americans in Western Pennsylvania. The Centre Avenue YMCA served not only as one of the only recreational areas facilities for African-Americans from the 1920s through the 1950s, but was also a center of social and cultural life in the community, and was famous for free symposiums held here during the 1930s and '40s with nationally prominent African-Americans. Pittsburgh Historic Review Commission. Marker dedicated 1994." The building was added to the List of City of Pittsburgh historic designations on August 8, 1995, and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2021.
